When to test?

I have felt a lot more sick this time round but can't quite tell if it's because of my gastric sleeve surgery I had last July or pregnancy related sickness 🙈
I've lost 6 stone since my surgery but still have a very big belly😂 so doubt I'll show until late late pregnancy if at all.
I've spent the last 7 weeks trying to forget I am pregnant so now it's hard trying to tell myself I am xx

Here's my 8 week scan against my 12 week scan mad how quickly they grow x

Yes I'm great Thankyou I'm currently 12 weeks had my anomaly scan and all went well still doesn't feel real to me though!

Currently 9 weeks tomorrow! I had a private scan yesterday and got moved forward almost a week! I'm on progesterone too which is giving piece of mind ♥️

@WhatTheEll I'm gooood! Currently 14.5 weeks, had our dating scan and it was amazing!
Completely sympathise with the tiredness, its tough in the first trim. But all a good sign! X

6weeks 1 day today!! Saw a heart beat Saturday ♥️ starting progesterone this evening, but everything looks good. Third time lucky for me 😬

@StillJustWaiting Yay! Glad the scans were all good. This cycle I used the Ferti-Lily cup and it worked first time 😬 with me getting a BFP.
Also because of my previous miscarriages, I've got a GP calling me this evening so we can discuss progesterone pessaries as per the new NICE guidelines xx

@StillJustWaiting I did! Actually used them the cycle we got pregnant so never finished the full pack, and taking this brand pregnancy vitamins too.
Glad nothing sinister showed up on the scans x

@Stallsey Oh I'm so sorry lovely! Main thing is, like you say, you and baby are fine. But it's just rubbish isn't it. Hope you feel better soon xx

I'm not so great, I tested positive for covid so having to push back my dating scan which was meant to be this week. I'm gutted, hoping they can fit me in as soon as I'm neg!
Everything happens for a reason though, sad but at least me and baby are ok!

Thank you @Stallsey 🥰 I told my husband yesterday, so waited a whole week (not sure how I managed it!)
Boobs are sore, crampy dull aches and some nausea but I'm only 4.5 weeks.

Just a quick update for those hat wanted one, we had a scan today and measure 8 weeks and the little blob has a heartbeat🤞🏼 still doesn't feel real but hopefully this gives you all the hope ❤️

@Stallsey thank you! I took a FRER test today on CD23 and got a BFN. Think it may have been a bit early for me so will wait for AF to hopefully not show up as you suggested

@BlueSky57 hi! Only takes 1 time to make a baby so seems like you did it right!!
I got a faint line 9 days past ovulation, that's quite early so to be safe I would just wait until your period is due and test away. Baby dust to you x

Hi everyone, it’s nice to see a couple of BFPs on this thread as it gives me some hope Congratulations & good luck to those still trying

We started ttc this cycle but having recently come off the pill I don’t really know if we dtd at the ‘right’ time or not. AF came on December 8th for me so treated 19-24 as ovulation time but only had sex 3 times across those few days…

I currently have no symptoms of anything although I have never been pregnant before so wouldn’t really know what to expect anyway
The only weird thing is I also had my booster during the couple days I may have ovulated and since then the bottom of my back has been sore

I haven’t done any pregnancy tests yet because I didn’t really know when to!

@emmilyb thank you ♥️ let us know how your scan goes. Last two miscarriages I booked private early scans for 6.5 weeks, but ended in hospital being scanned. So I won't book anything until I'm passed that stage, like you. Good luck! I'm only around 4 weeks so still early. I'm starting a new job on 5th Jan as well 🤦🏻‍♀️

@WhatTheEll ahhh amazing congratulations!!! I'm 7 weeks today and haven't felt at all pregnant so have booked an early scan for next week to just confirm it. I too have only told my partner as too scared to tell anyone else just in case, it's a horrible feeling knowing you are hit not allowing yourself to be excited to protect yourself from the hurt just in case the worst happens I think a lot of us have been there hun but this is amazing news ❤️ fingers crossed for a sticky baby as am I🤞🏼🤞🏼

I had this yesterday, I've not even told my husband, I'm just carrying on like nothing has changed, I had what I presumed was a light period (red blood, just not heavy). I tested on a whim because it stopped suddenly and my boobs became MORE painful. I'm at a loss because this is how my last pregnancies started and ended in miscarriage. I'm not excited, I'm just empty. I haven't a clue if I'll even tell anyone until it's more real and if I get passed the 6/6.5 week mark 😭

@StillJustWaiting if you have long cycles it' because you're not ovulating on day 14. You'd ovulate 14 days before your period. However if you're not ovulating, you could have long cycles with spotting throughout. Either way, if carries on, worth getting checked out. Are you using OPKs and temping?
