Hey ladies, I'm spending sooo much money each month on pregnancy tests... i think I'm addicted to peeing on sticks 😅 how early have you ladies actually got a positive test? My af is due in 6 days and i been testing all week - knowing its way to early but getting so disheartened seeing just the one line :( when should i start testing really?

@WhatTheEll thank you!! Another BFN today (10DPO) so I'm not so hopeful this month!

Has anybody else had any luck this month? 🥰 sending baby dust to all those who want it 🌸

@StillJustWaiting Keeping everything crossed for you!!

StillJustWaiting · 28/10/2021 16:29

@Bundaberg84 you are right, I hope af doesn't arrive 🤞😅 that being said, if its going to come I hope it comes sooner so we can start trying again 🤦‍♀️😂
1/3 chance? Thats pretty mad, I thought it was literally 50/50, that makes me feel a bit better! Thank you ! X

No, you're not out until AF arrived. That being said, even if you timed perfectly and everything was "correct", there's still only around an 1/3 chance of conception being successful. It's outside our control I'm afraid.

StillJustWaiting · 28/10/2021 15:53

@Moonshine160 they are negative, totally negative :( I think I'm 9DPO but I'm not 100% sure! We DTD almost every day this cycle since af stopped, only 4 days over this whole month where we haven't and those 4 days were so spread out though out... maybe i still have a little chance ? I think I'm out again this month though, I can just feel it, hopefully hopefully hopefully next cycle if not this one ! X

They look negative to me OP other than the evap line on the Clear Blue test. How many DPO are you though?

StillJustWaiting · 28/10/2021 15:37

I struggle with the evaporation lines that clear blue can leave you with though, I've got to the point where I literally stare at the test for the full 10 minutes hoping something happens before the time is up! Then when i do look at the test again there is a line, i know they are evap lines but I think thats what makes me want to keep testing .... every month 😅

Tests from the last 4 days, bottom was today, second from bottom last night 😩

@Bundaberg84 thank you for sharing that link, its given me a little hope still !

@WhatTheEll thank you lovely, I'm literally battling with myself not to go pee on a stick now knowing at I should be 9DPO today!!

At the same time I don't want to test today because I don't want to see another BFN...

I have had a miscarriage which required a couple days stay in hospital and a D&C and two chemicals already this year 😩

@mrsS21 it is SO hard! :'( i should wait for my expected af date really to test again, i just find it so tricky not to test, the need to test takes over !
My other thing is that I don't really know for sure when my af will arrive as my cycles have been irregular since my miscarriage back in march!

@PeanuttyButter were not out just yet, we still have a chance this could be our month!! Sending you baby dust! But I get what you mean, I too feel like that, having a negative test yesterday (8DPO).

@Moonshine160 I know, I want to wait, I just can't the compulsion to test fully takes over, I end up having to 😅 I annoy myself with it so bad, and the amount of money I'm spending is just ridiculous!!! I always buy clear blue's and First response so I'm beginning to see the dent 🤦‍♀️

I wish you ALL the best of luck with your TTC journey and Hope you all keep us posted! We're all on this journey together! 🥰

Personally I would wait to test until your period is due or late and then you know whatever result you get is more likely to be accurate. I find it more disappointing to keep seeing BFNs than I do just waiting for AF to arrive. I also see it so many times where people get a BFP really early and it turns out to be a chemical. I’d rather not know.

PeanuttyButter · 28/10/2021 12:55

I usually start testing 9dpo as I've always had my BFPs at 10dpo. 10dpo today and I'm bfn so feeling deflated. Good luck!!

WhatTheEll · 28/10/2021 12:51

I'm approx 2DPO (I think!), so totally get the need to test! I'm prone too. I had a miscarriage in April and then again in July, so really hoping this is my month! 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Keep us all posted

mrsS21 · 28/10/2021 12:09

Hope everyone is doing ok today! @StillJustWaiting it’s so hard when you keep seeing those negative tests isn’t it!? If you can wait until your expected af date - I know it’s so hard!- but then it can be something to look forward to doing. I know I’ve struggled with testing at the first sign of a symptom, but trying to make it more enjoyable for us both lately.

@Bundaberg84 thanks so much for sharing this link, that’s really helpful! My cycles are a bit all over the place since my covid jabs, but I’m hoping this can help give me some hope in tracking!

StillJustWaiting · 28/10/2021 10:44

Oooh thank you ladies !
I think I'm 9DPO today - but cant be sure as i have irregular cycles:/
But didn't test this morning as i was so gutted last night to see yes another negative test 😩😩😩
I don't know wether to test tonight or wait a few more days.. i just hate waiting 😅
Going to try tracking BBT next cycle if this ones yet another unsuccessful month ! X

Implantation can happen anywhere from 6-11DPO, typically though, it's 9DPO. So testing from 9DPO onwards is a better bet! Good luck OP Thanks

I got a positive at 9dpo with my daughter and in my first pregnancy that I miscarried, I had really sore breasts from 9dpo (which I never get) so I reckon I'd have got a bfp then, though I tested at 12dpo that time. For me, if 9dpo is negative, it won't be a bfp for me that cycle.

Hi @StillJustWaiting - I love this site, maybe it helps you as well when you see the odds of having a positive test by DPO: www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/dpo-chart.php?dpo=8
