Brown spotting, not pregnant.

@Bexb789 I'm glad you're feeling good. It's good that you have those answers now. I completely understand feeling like a new person too. I'm alright, getting there. Sometimes I feel quite down but not always. I had some brown CM for a few days and then pink spotting. I'm not thinking I'm pregnant though xx

@Amberley90 I'm okay, I feel like I have some answers even though its not the full answer. Physically feeling great now thankfully, since my period started I feel like a new person. How are you? xx

@Amberley90 Just finished my appointment and it appears I have a cyst on my left ovary which is the only side I had any pain too. Gotta get reviewed by a consultant before it goes back to my docs. Radiologist didn't seem too concerned though 😊

I think it looks a bit like my boobs are bigger and the areolas look almost bruised. I don't know why as I'm sure it's hormonal xx

@Amberley90 bless ya, mine have been in agony for weeks, normally lasts for a few days and lets up just before my period starts. Started to bleed today, seems it may be my period almost 2 weeks late but its quite light. Think this whole thing might be my hormones.

Ultrasound is booked Monday 8th, turns out its a different hospital! Xx

@Bexb789 My boobs are hurting but it might be hormonal as they hurt around this time last month. I have cramping too. I don't have brown discharge anymore.

I did an Asda test yesterday that was negative.

AF is yet to arrive, 4 days late. Boobs have never hurt so much, nausea is horrendous for a few hours every day still and all the other stuff is persisting, no more bleeding since it stopped on the 11th though.

Gonna get back onto my doc in the next few days see what's going on. Chased up the ultrasound I was referred for to be told I was discharged from gynie after my colposcopy appointment...

@Bexb789 I used FRER and it was negative. The spotting has stopped and I had a negative lateral flow test as well so maybe it's just me being unwell x

@Sweetieheart16 Have you tried testing again since then with a pink dye? I think it looks good x

@Bexb789 I'd recommend getting some different tests, preferably with pink dye (like first response). These particular clear blue ones are known for false positives that appear after the time frame. It happened to me, while a first response test was blank and it did turn out that I wasn't pregnant. Even though a clear blue had a solid line (that appeared after the 10min time frame)

@Bexb789 - those don’t look like evap lines at all to me. The fact that they didn’t come up in the time could mean low HcG which in turn could mean very early pregnancy, ectopic or miscarriage. Hope you get some answers soon. When is/was your period due?

@ActonBell finally able to upload a pic. Top one was the one I left at 5 mins and came back 2 hours later.. Bottom I watched blank within the 10 min window, and then from a faded line to the solid blue around 15-20 mins. I always thought evap lines were colourless?

@Amberley90 that sounds exactly like me, mine started 2 weeks after the start of my last AF and was like brown old blood, but I had a few clots as well for 2 of the 4 days... Not a lot of blood though

I had what I think was my AF from 30th September to about 4th October. Then I started bleeding again four days ago. I don't know why I would bleed mid cycle. I has lasted four days and has been brown which can mean old blood. I don't believe I am pregnant and it being old blood is all I can think of. I'm just surprised at there being a two week gap between bleeding.

I always thought it was normal too @clairesbear but I've been reading so much about mid cycle bleeding/spotting being something you should speak to your gp about, so just trying to gauge whether I should wait a bit longer before seeing the dr!

@Cruz86 No as my spotting has been a normal thing for me since coming off the pill a couple years ago, I figured it was just something I had and is normal for my body. I'm on month 7 of trying now so if I dint get pregnant in the next few months I'll look into having some tests done.

I'm similar to you @clairesbear. Normally spot up to 6 days before af is due but it's either light brown or light pink. Today, 4 days before af due, I had some fresh blood. So, normal but not!! Have you had any tests done for your spotting?
