TTC after MC - October 2021 thread 20

So sad for you. I feel your pain. I had MMC in December 2020, chemical in august 2021, positive in September and baby gone by November. I didn't think I could do it again but here we are trying again.

I'm asking my doctor to send us for karotyping for chromosome translocations because I feel there's something wrong versus bad luck but who knows. Has yours suggested anything? It's incredibly disheartening isn't it?

Well I had a bfp on 20th Nov, went for private scan on 20th Dec but there was no heartbeat or fetal pole.
GP referred me to EPAU who scanned me on 22nd Dec and said to come back tomorrow to see if any chance or plan next step.
This time has broken me. First mmc in August this year and I naively thought this time would be fine.
I'm not sure I can go through it all again.

Hey! Not too bad. Starting letrozole soon so a bit nervous bur fingers crossed. Having a break for a few months as off to Australia on honeymoon next July/August. No Christmas miracle here

I understand your frustration . I don't know much about what you described so not sure what to suggest. The way I was warned not to get pregnant when I was younger....I thought that if a man even sneezed near a woman she would get pregnant. Never knew that so much effort is needed to get pregnant and carry it to term. I've been away for a bit, AF came for me after some very promising symptoms and I unraveled...spent days curled up in bed. I've decided to stop actively TTCing...will just enjoy sex and if it happens, it happens. I've thrown away my OPK sticks and stopped looking at the memory box the hospital gave me when I miscarried. I'm still taking pregnacare but that's as far as I'll go now.

Well... lovely update over here... I have a period! I never imagined the day I'd be pleased about one of these but here we are. cd60 it finally came.

@Treesaa me too!!! I think it’s really acidic. Been drinking grapefruit juice for 2 weeks already but still no ewcm. Oh well.

Had an ultrasound done last monday just to check if I’m ovulating and they found a hemorrhagic cyst on my left ovary. Could be the culprit why I’m having irregular cycle. Doctor told me it will resolve on its own but could take couple of months. My other ovary should be ovulating fine but on the ultrasound it doesn’t seem like it will ovulate anytime soon and I’m on CD12 last monday. I cried that night. I’m just so frustrated! I feel like I’m doing everything that I could to get pregnant and my body just wont cooperate😭

I'm drinking grapefruit juice too and my teeth feel so sensitive! Fingers crossed it works. Pray this will be our month 🙏🏾

Im TTC after MMC in March 21 it took me 11 weeks to get a negative frer and my first cycle after the MMC we have been TTC since. Im 12 DPO due AF this Friday.
I have minimal symptoms, only real ones are loss of appetite and alot bloating. I don't know why but I had a feel i may be pregnant..,
I took a freedom cheap test this morning which I have attached am i seeing things

Oh that’s amazing news @susiebluebell I’d just come on the thread to catch up and see how everyone was getting on! I hope you’re not feeling too terrible with morning sickness etc.

Check out this thread if you need some support the ladies are all lovely. A couple have had bad outcomes so not sure if it would be triggering for you but on the whole it’s just lovely for everyone to get through the first anxious few weeks together!

@Treesaa yep! Got myself COQ 10 and currently reading It starts with the egg. Apparently, BPA plays a lot in regards to fertility. I’ve thrown all the plastic containers that we have I’m also drinking grapefruit juice every morning but still no ewcm. Let’s see if there will be any improvement in the coming days.

@susiebluebell its second contact but it will be first since my periods have gone wonky. Day 53 at the moment, fingers crossed, d9nt feel period-y though!

We've just got home from an early scan at the hospital (booked due to that little bleed I had last weekend) and I was an absolute wreck this morning, crying and so worried it was going to be bad news. But everything was OK with the little one, we saw a flickering heartbeat and not much else as tbh there isn't much else to see at this stage! It's measuring 6 weeks rather than the almost 7 weeks that's on my app. I'm so relieved I almost don't know what to do with myself.

It all feels very real now, having had a scan, and it's really early days still, but I will probably take a back seat in this thread as pregnancy isn't really the topic. I'll keep reading to follow all your stories but want to give you all space to talk about TTC after MC, rather than talking about pregnancy which can be difficult for others to read (as I remember myself) I promise I'll let you all know if anything happens! Xx

Hey hope everyone's doing well! My period is still being elusive, currently CD51 and it came CD55 last time so fingers crossed not long to go. Going to email Amanda Tozer tomorrow to let her know the situ as I dont think low dose progesterone is going to sort me out any time soon.

I've heard good things about COQ 10. I'll get some if no BFP this month.
I bet it must be hard working in that setting while TTC .

@Mmeow that's got to be really tough! I went through a phase earlier this year where there just seemed to be beautiful pregnant ladies everywhere and I was in danger of becoming a bitter witch!

We had some ladies on here a few threads ago who did grapefruit juice and various other food supplements. I think @Richmondlady1981 took COQ 10 and became pregnant - not sure if this post will tag her but if not, I'll have a look back through old threads and see what she said. Xx
