Ovulation/TTC continued

@newtolineofduty don't panic hun. It's probably nothing but good that you've got an appt tomorrow. What kind of pain is it? X

@Aims1991 @hoola23 @CShandy01 sounds like we have all been in a similar place this month. I have been so distracted this month with other stuff in my life, DTDing last night went out the window last night but will try again today. It would be nice for someone to have a BFP this month so it doesn't feel like such a blah month

@CShandy01 hope you feel better soon, there is a demon cold going around the place at the moment

@Kplates you can test from the first day of a missed period for the most accurate result (there are other tests for early testing too) according to the NHS website... give it a go! Yes the covid vaccine does sometimes seem to affect cycles for 1 or 2 months but should go back to normal next month hopefully for you x

I made this it’s own post but might be better in here… hope this is ok!!

My last cycle was really odd which is unusual and I have some questions, so bare with😂

bit of background, consultant thinks I may have endo but due to our trust not doing laps at the moment, said if we want a family to just start giving it a go - I’m 30, bf is 33 and we’ve been tracking ovulation with the Clearblue digital for the last two cycles. So basically, ttc but not at the stressed out stage - yet.

my ovulation in September was LATE. Like day 24 late. Had flashing smilies from 3rd - 10th October and then finally got my static on the 11th. We had sex on that day and throughout the flashing stage. This has never happened and I’m normally like clockwork, as is my period - usually 11-14 days after ovulation.

My period is now 2 days late and I’ve felt for the last two days I’m about to come on - cramps but nothing. Only other thing that has made me wonder is that I feel abit sicky and very indigestion-y 😂. At what point would you test? And can you even get pregnant with an ovulation that late?!

I had my covid booster last Saturday as well and I’m now wondering if it’s more that that’s delayed it?! Have any of you had that with Pfizer? My first 2 Jabs were AstraZeneca and my periods were unaffected.

@CShandy01 this is true I just have zero hope this month. The ovulation spotting has really thrown me. Never had that before! I wouldn't rule yourself out yet. The cm thing I think it just makes it up as it goes along. Last month I had loads of ewcm before AF which I also had when I was pregnant so who knows what our bodies are doing! Hope you feel better soon. Cold and flus are the worst!

I'm feeling rather sorry for myself as I am completely full of cold. Seems DD likes to be kind and spread her germs to everyone. Got the sneaky suspicion that we're out for the month as well, TMI here but when I wiped this morning there was a lot of wet CM, and this is usually what I get before AF shows her ugly head. Due sometime this weekend if I got ovulation right from EWCM tracking. Oh well! Could be on for a Christmas miracle 😂😂

@hoola23 I had a few months like that, how long have you been trying?

We finally managed to DTD for the second time!! Apparently it was day of ovulation yesterday so I have a feeling it was prob too late but who knows. Zero hope for this month but I'm really not too bothered if I'm honest. Next month I will really put the effort in!

@plantbasedlondoner Hopefully you've still got time. We were going to DTD again tonight for the 4th night in a row by OH has fallen asleep so will get it done first thing tomorrow.
1 minute I'm positive then the next minute I think nah I've missed it🤷🏻‍♀️

@StillJustWaiting welcome! Do you use BBT or OPKs to track ovulation as sometimes the period apps can be misleading especially if your cycles vary a bit? Although saying that OPKs aren't suitable for anyone with irregular cycles either so it's a bit tough. Sorry you've had a rough time of it hun but you are so welcome here as we are all trying to learn and taking each month as it comes!

@hoola23 haha re the sperm being too drunk to meet the egg, DH has seriously ramped up his social life (cue lots more drinking) in the last two months right when the TTC stuff got a bit more pressured!

We finally DTDed last night, cycle day 11, a bit too late I feel :( I had ovulation pain yesterday which for me seems to be on the day of ovulation or two days before, it varies a bit. Last month my cycle was 35 days and the month before 25 days but usually it is 31 days so hopefully it goes back to normal this month as I am DTDing again tonight (DH doesn't know yet haha) and hopefully every night for the next few if I can manage it!

@hoola23 good chance this evening then. I really only noticed EWCM on Friday. But I've not really checked coz we've DTD loads and didn't want to🤣

Very late early morning on sat/sun @Aims1991 ovulation seems to be a bit odd this month!

@hoola23 That's exciting. When did you last get a peak on opk?

Something new to report! When checking my cm was still ewcm, I had a dark brown/dark red streak in my cm. never had ovulation spotting before and think I now have left side ovulation pain

@CShandy01 🤣🤣🤣 so true. Basically nothing is certain, always keep going and always wait for AF. Anything else is unknown. So much fun hey!

@hoola23 I have two knew pieces of knowledge now from this TTC journey:

1. you're not out of time DTD if there's still EWCM!
2. no one is out completely until the witch AF shows up.

Both of which STILL do not provide me with any comfort during the TWW 😂 but hey ho!

@CShandy01 I can't promise it will be enjoyable but we will try🤣🤣 I thought my last fertile day would have been yesterday but the ewcm is saying otherwise!

@CShandy01 this is our 10th month of trying. But the first 3/4 months we didn't test or know when I was ovulating. Wasn't until may that we tested and then in august we stopped testing coz OH was getting a bit frustrated with it. But this month we both cut out caffeine and started taking vitamins. And put our all into it
