Lucky October? 🍀

Hi everyone, joining as well from the September bus 😊 think I'm 10DPO but this is first cycle TTC #2 and first time using OPKs. Patiently waiting for AF to show up after BFN this morning.

Congratulations on your BFP @PlantLadyMum great news! I have those tests as well for when I miss a period.

I’m currently dpo 4 I think so just patiently playing the 2ww. I won’t be testing unless I am a week late.
If AF comes again I’m going to try the SMEP as it sounds good but we have been extremely relaxed this month and have DTD for the fun of it! 😂

CD 7 for me.
After having irregular periods since I started & my last few ones being particularly more painful than usual & my last one coming early, I phoned the doctors.
I'm in on Monday for my smear test & I'm being booked in for bloods & potentially an ultrasound 🙃🙃
Trying not to overthink it all but fully expected the doctor to shoot me down & tell me I've nothing to worry about.

All my apps are saying I'm due to ovulate next week but at this point, I have no clue anymore so think I'll just start testing from Monday & see what happens!

Thank you @Peauela and @Mummytobe93 for your help i think im currently 1 or 2 DPO depends on what app im looking at. Not sure if i can wait until when AF is due on the 14th to find out.

Thanks! No, I had an MVA for a MMC in August so this is the first cycle since I got my period back. We use the SMEP method, all 3 times it's worked first time, we are incredibly fortunate. Just hoping this one stays with us ❤️

Ovulation day today for me. Nearly a year of ttc. Have my blood tests and DH's SA this month. Hope to rule things out and reassure me that it is simply gonna take time. 🤞

@Coco9910 the digital clear blue is quite a different approach to standard OPKs and only works if you start it early enough in your cycle, because the first reading it takes is your base line, so that first test will always be a blank circle. Subsequent tests then search for a change/increase in hormones, to indicate you're due to ovulate. Presumably because everyone's base level of hormones are a bit different 🤷‍♀️ It took me a while to get my head around it. I think it's just personal preference whether opk strip tests or digital make most sense for you and your cycles. But you could try again next cycle if you now have a whole box of the digital tests. Anyway, Good luck!

@Vwhite I think every other day is fine for the sperm, and best for hitting your fertile window😉 so good luck ! That’s my plan too for next week

I’ve got myself a note book for my OPKs to stick them on and see the progression line up until my ovulation 🙈 I’m on CD 7 today

I got my BFP today at only 9dpo!! I used these ultra early CB digital ones

@Coco9910 haha I know! But you'll get there and hopefully see a BFP 

@Vwhite I guess the sperm count can be lower but I doubt it would be significantly down for it to affect TTC but I may be wrong.

@Peauela from my period app says today is ovulation day i also felt a sharp pain in my lower stomach area. We have been DTD since the 21st, not because we thought we had too but because we want too. Does anyone know If we DTD every day does it decrease sperm count?

CD4 today, does anyone else use Premom? I’ve just done my first opk on there xx

@Dobcaty yeah I don’t think I will bother with Clearblue ovulation tests going forward. Finally got my peak today on CD24!

Does anyone know, I got my peak today so due to ovulate in the next 12-36 hours. What day would be classed as 1dpo? xx

@Peauela the last time I was pregnant I knew I was gonna be before ovulation. Sometimes the gut feeling is just right! Fingers crossed for you.

@Danani if you like CB that's absolutely fine! Whatever works for you, I personally didn't like the digital aspect of them!

Yes we are trying for our first baby :) and not trying long at all, still newbies. the only thing that was different this month was that my peak fell on a weekend and so we've DTD in the morning for the first time - and actually did it in the evening again not for baby making, just felt like it lol I know it may affect sperm count but we didn't really care at that moment other than that I actually felt ovu this month in a form of shooting kind of pain my left ovary - it doesn't always happen for me - and it would be right looking at the LH tests and my peak. I don't know if any of the above will actually matter though. But it's amazing how I'm getting to know my body more now that I pay attention :)

I hope all of us have some good news before Christmas anyway
