It seems AF is coming to get me end of this week (Fri), so instead of feeling sorry for myself I’m trying to look forward to October and getting to try again! šŸ¤žšŸ»šŸ¤žšŸ»šŸ¤žšŸ»

Anyone else with me?

@Effram ah stop! You're giving me hope again šŸ˜‚

Gosh I hate being the wining one, but each time I hope it's not over yet I'm reminded it probably is by stupid period like cramps.. I love that you're all trying to hype me up and I know I'm still in the game unless AF arrives, it's just hard staying positive, especially that I had really good feeling about this month!!! This journey will be full of emotions for sure... I better take a chill pill lol I'm only just starting!

I will try to get better and stop complaining.... ā˜¹ļø

Hope you all have an amazing Thursday! ā¤ļø

All the OPKs have instructions on when to start testing, usually 4-5 days before predicted O. They also have instructions for what time of day to test. With CB I test first thing, it's never been an issue and I actually think that's what the instructions say. With the cheapies, I've been testing morning and evening.

Firsttimetrier · 07/10/2021 12:05

@Danani maybe I’m tempted to give them a go as I’d hate to be completely off!

Do you test first thing in the morning at the same time every day? I think that’s where I’d struggle as some days I have to leave for work earlier.

FlyOnTheWall89 · 07/10/2021 11:59

@Firsttimetrier Hi! I tracked my cycle for not getting pregnant too and when I used it to TTC and began tracking using OPKs, it confirmed my app predictions were correct. I think if you have regular cycles, your app will probably be pretty accurate. If you do use some, I found the CB ones the best. The cheapies are not clear enough for me. I like the simplicity of the CB ones.

Danani · 07/10/2021 11:37

@Firsttimetrier, don't worry. I'm using OPKs for a 3rd month and they line up PERFECTLY with my app predictions, so I feel like I've learned nothing new. Will probably not test going forward and just go off my app. I think it's worth you using them just to see if your apps are on track or not. Easy@home are nice and cheap, but I also quite like the CB ones.

Firsttimetrier · 07/10/2021 11:35

I’ve never tracked my ovulation using OPKs and now I’m wondering if it’s worth starting? I see you all do and now worrying that my app is completely off and all efforts this month would be wasted.

As a starting point, should I look to use the easy@home ones or just go straight to CB?

Danani · 07/10/2021 11:34

@Effram oh no! Were you testing every day? Did you manage to DTD? Hopefully you have a good chance this month! šŸ¤žšŸ»

Well today's opk is barely there so I wonder i ovulated early and missed the surge!

beckybabyx · 07/10/2021 10:43

also confused that my readings on easy@home are all over the place. should I be doing the tests on an evening?

beckybabyx · 07/10/2021 10:42

Thank you for your messages everyone. OH text me from work this morning apologising and realises how much he upset me.. I have said you can make it up to me after work by BD'ing Grin you've all made me feel a lot better because I suppose O could be today.

Also to add another confusion to the mix, I am the same as you @Danani - got static yesterday on CB but still showing low on easy@home .. so hoping CB is wrong and easy@home is right so then we're very much still in the running!

Effram · 07/10/2021 10:26

@Peauela and @danani I conceived my first two on the 3rd cycle but 1st 'proper' trying cycle so maybe its lucky!!

@beckybabyx and @Mummytobe93 I hope you're both feeling ok. You're definitely still in the window from what you've said!

@Dobcaty I am about to do today's test, mine are always gradual increase and the peak is v short so I am just thinking of it as the whole week.

I am so tired, my husband has been v diligent with his duties even though he's getting in from work after 1am ... we are laughing about how functional the act has become! I am trying to maintain perspective and know that it doesn't matter if it's not this month and there would be lots of positives to waiting but it is hard to not get carried away isn't it!

I am 35 and my husband is nearly 37. I had my first at 32.

Peauela · 07/10/2021 10:15

@Danani so we're exactly the same in terms of trying - 2 cycles unprotected and kind of trying but tracking properly in September :)

I'm 28 and hubby is 35

Danani · 07/10/2021 10:11

@Peauela nooo, positive vibes!!! No AF for you this month! šŸ¤žšŸ»

I’m 30, my DH is 32. We’re TTC for our first bb, and this is month 3 of trying, but really the real trying was only in Sept. So technically speaking I feel like we’ve really tried one cycle so far. 😬

Aww @beckybabyx I’m sorry to hear this. I’m feeling very lucky as my hubby is as interested as I am as he has wanted a baby forever and I didn’t so when I felt like I could be ready I had the stick taken out my arm and we conceived in April but lost baby in July. Now I want one as much as he does so we work together well!

This is tmi but this morning when I wipe after a wee I have lots of cm with pale yellowish tinge to it. Also still feel grotty with mild ache around my middle and tops of legs/hips and last night I have very mild tender nipples.. still not getting hopes up and still not testing though! šŸ˜‚ am expecting af to come but obviously I also hope not. Dpo 9 today xx

FlyOnTheWall89 · 07/10/2021 10:02

@beckybabyx So frustrating and your feelings are so valid. If you got static yesterday, you have a chance today probably :-). x

Peauela · 07/10/2021 09:51

And in terms of an update on me... still cramping, definitely feeling like the witch is going to arrive soon. I ordered my BBT thermometer for the next cycle and going to go out at lunchtime and buy some vitamins for myself and hubby and pre-seed to be prepared for next month šŸ˜„

If you don't mind me asking - how old are you and your DH / DP? :)

Pugmumm · 07/10/2021 09:50

Thank you @Peauela šŸ’•

Peauela · 07/10/2021 09:42

@Danani it was similar for me but like yours the numbers were increasing slowly and then bam, I got my high readings :D I know it was a bit confusing to me too. Best advice I can give just have sex every day if you can lol. How is hubby feeling?

Peauela · 07/10/2021 09:41

Okay, I finally am able to sit down and use my computer because responding on my phone is just annoying me, I am using the app and every time I try to reply to multiple people I just have to start all over again to @ them... Is it just me? Grin

@SammiStap to me it all sounds very good! I hope these turn out to be symptoms :)

@Pugmumm welcome! Hopefully it's as lucky for you as for some other girls here and you'll get your BFP! :)

@Dobcaty thank you. I love how we get to meet amazing people like you through a group like this :) I'm really happy I ended up here! I hope it's your lucky month

Danani · 07/10/2021 09:32

Ahh thanks @Peauela! Helpful explanation! Still a bit confusing this app though šŸ˜„ mine have been identified as Low consistently so far on this app, but on another are identified as High. šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø
CB was giving me flashies for a week. Today is peak!

So, for example, this is my chart from this month. Both Morning and evening on CD17 were reading "high" until the next morning when I tested and the line was a lot fainter, the highest reading then changed to "peak". I assumed when I tested that evening that it was probably my peak and I was right šŸ¤žšŸ»

Cheers hunnyšŸ’•@Danani

Let’s hope the guilt trip worked on my DHšŸ˜‚xx

Peauela · 07/10/2021 09:24

@Danani Hey, easy@home will continue showing "high" until your levels drop again, then they will change to "peak" on the highest reading. I would assume you are peaking when you get a very strong line ;) that's how it was for me anyway :)

How long have you been getting flashing smiley on CB though! That's more confusing to me šŸ˜…

Danani · 07/10/2021 09:23

@Mummytobe93 no, you haven’t missed it! Listen, your Peak was last EVENING. O is usually 12-36 h AFTER. Meaning that you’d O earliest tonight. So tonight is perfect. Even tomorrow morning would be perfect. And actually if you O at the end of that window, even tomorrow night would still be great!

Just saying. 😊

Mummytobe93 · 07/10/2021 09:19

Good for you @Danani! And I’m REALLY not sure what to think about the pre mom app readings, I think it’s good but how can it tell weather it’s peak or high when they look the same? Maybe I don’t use it for long enough, I suppose not everyone’s peak looks the same. Mine test line never gets darker than the control line for example. I’d trust the test I’ve the app readings …

And didn’t take my BBT this morning as it probably be all over the place. I was highly discouraged after last night

I really wanted to try DTD before ovulation, so the sperm waits for the egg but I’ve missed my chance for that now.
