Hi there everyone . Glad to see a bit of action this weekend. The weekends are usually really quiet on here. Am of DG being in Mrs Ei's dream although if it comes true it will be soooo cool.

Today I have been mostly doing my compulsory jewellery shopping . For those of you who don't know I was burgled a few months ago. The valuation for all my jewellery came through and they sent me a bond. The only thing I can buy with it is jewellery so I had to have this ridiculous 'pretty woman in the clothes shop' experience at Goldsmiths this morning. I just couldn't bring myself to buy things for the sake of it though so only got through half of it and I was in there 2.5 hours . I think all my family are going to end up with jewellery for birthdays and christmas this year!!

07MTW I have been planning on temping for a couple of months now and haven't got my thermometer yet either. I might order one today and then we can learn all about it together . And Mibbes I am not going to bother testing, as I didn't really BD at the right time this month. There is a small possibility because I did BD on the night I got my on my OPK but I didn't do it the next night which I think is more important.....

Hi ScaryHairy - I have no idea how many dpo I am as no +ve opk this cycle. Either missed the egg and am 20dpo(ish), ddin't ovulate and body is being rubbish or opk didn't regiester in which case still have no idea. Will probably test in the next day or so once have told dp am late - we agreed to stop using contraception in a "see hwat happens" kind of a way as I told him it could take a year - he'll be in shock when I tell him I'm late so am a bit worried about telling him...

When is AF due mibbes? (or how many dpo are you?)

7dpo here and this morning DD accidentally smacked me in the boob and my goodness it hurt. am telling myself that it is normal, run-of-the-mill progesterone, but...

Ei my DH doesn't get an option of being for or against any of this, since it is my cycles that are all over the place and his role is simply to show up when I tell him!

Actually MrsEi it was the waiting room thread on Mon where we all admitted we hadn't told OHs about opks. Does he need to know you are using them ? Or would you feel too bad now given that he has expressly said he is against...? Posted about af for you in waiting room - grrrr she is a witch teasing you like that.

twinkling will be thinking of you on Monday - I sooo have my fingers crossed that after all that sadness you get a pleasant surprise next week - tingly boobs sounds promising - but ikwym about the cold - I am in Scotland too and it is like a winter womderland today - quite beautiful though . Love the twinkling name - keep it !

MOB have you read Zita West's book ? There are loads of tips in there of what to eat if you plan to alter your diet to help ttc. Hope you are feeling better about things

Still no af here but still getting ocassional very mild cramp, slightly tingly boobs and dehydration (only had a couple of vinos last night - honest !). Am starting to let my hopes rise as day 34 with no spotting in unusual for me... bet she comes now that I've said that

Morning MrsEi ! I think it was a few days ago on this thread where a lot of us admitted that we were "secret opkers" as we didn't want to scare/pressure OHs ! My dp had no idea I used them but they didn't give me a +ve anyway. My advice would be to start several days earlier than you think you ovulate as I may have missed mine.. I know they are expensive but it is a complete waste of money if you miss the egg because you started them too late! I plan to chart temps next month as I feel that this will give a far more accurate picture of whether there are eggs hatching or not - apparently opks can be a bit unreliable for some ladies.

she seems to have started straight away at full flow just to get on my nerves aswell!! i usually get at least a day or two of spotting beforehand but noooo not this time i was thinking about starting with OPK's this month so i can get a better picture of what my cycles are like but DH is dead against it has anyone else had this kinda 'brick wall' reaction to their suggestion on OPK's??

Bu$$er abut TEW's arrival mrsei that is so annoying. I had one of those long cycles when we first started trying too. Though I had lots of wateryCM so I think, now, it may have been a CP
But it is poo when you just want to know what is going on then, when you get your answer (AF's arrival) you wished you hadn't asked

6dpo now, my LP is norm about 11 days, so only 5 to go.

Granddad's funeral is on Monday and I won't be able to get to a computer until back home again on Tuesday, so that will certainly take my mind of it.

My mum will be checking on me too. She said yesterday what a start to the new year this was, what with Granddad passing on, my dad has been given a promotion, she is waiting for my good news now

No news from here. I keep waiting to go off wine (so I can have a symptom to spot) but no, I love it just as much as ever.

07 IMO it's best to try to start at least a week or so before ov so you can get a picture of what your pre-ov temps are like. If tomorrow is CD1 and you order soon, I bet you will only miss a week so it would def be worth temping this cycle.

Someone has to get a BFP soon - a new year conception would be lovely.

i had a weird dream that i came on here and there was about 6 ladies with BFP's one of which im sure was DG!! my mum often has weird psychic dreams and they usually come true so... fingers crossed for the girls in my dream il try and remember who the others were!!

I've just done knicker watch and detected a small amount of the brown stuff so I think AF will arrive tomorrow CD28. No surprises as after my BFN the other day, absolutely no PG symptoms and AF type cramps it was inevitable (sp?) I've already had my poor me poor me I'm still not PG so at least when she comes I can just get on with it all again!

DG Just a quick question for our resident TTC guru. Temping, does it have to start from CD1 or can you pick it up from any CD? I haven't bought my thermometer yet and if CD1 is tomorrow maybe too late?
I REALLY hope you get a BFP but I don't know what we'd do without you.

sorry for not being here for a few days girls poor DD has been ill and i just havent had time to post so i have lurked a bit to try and keep track of whats happenin!! you girls can talk...ALOT!!
first things first... AF still AWOL here despite the fact that i did a test on thursday mornin and BFN either i am havin a super long cycle for me (im usually at the most 31 days but more recently 28 days has been my regular day!!) or i am up the duff wit a hormoneless pregnancy!! i am still feeling rough as a dogs bum and soooo tired, headaches and heartburn like i have transformed into a dragon (i havent i checked...twice) i have got no idea what is happenin with my body now so i am gettin another test tomorrow to do on sunday to see if that changes my view on the matter!! thats if i dont get a visit from AF before then (i doubt it there has not been even a sniff of my usual AF symptoms but i suppose this is turnin away from bein a normal cycle now so...)
also saw the doc on thursday over somethin else an meantioned it to him and he wants to see me again on thursday comin to investigate things further if i dont come on before then!! he said he didnt want to make me wait too long as i have got an underactive thyroid and it can cause problems!! i assumed that as it is under control it wouldnt be an issue but what a good GP that has started to work in our surgery!!

I am alive and rushing around like a crazy woman at work. One plus side to that is I have no time to obsess this month. AF is due on Monday I think, so all will be revealed shortly .

I'll have a proper read up on what's been going on and get back to you all.
