OMG I just wrote a massive thing and it deleted itself....arghhhhhh .

Basically I said:

TEW is punctual if nothing else. The old stinky ugly evil upherownarse spoiler turned up on time so I am on CD1 . Fingers crossed for my cycle buddies scaryhairy and picknmix {and everyone else of course)

Welcome to PrePG and Loubers. Babydust to you.

and now I am going to change my name because I am not luckybucky, having left my wallet at home, getting drenched by passing cars and having to come back home for a second time to change this morning and now having to go onto Cycle 9 .

Eleveld · 14/01/2008 20:31

Thanks 07

It just feels very unusual for me. Although to be honest it could just be that I never noticed before TTC - not used to paying attention to every single sign/symptom that goes on with my 'equipment' iykwim!

07mumstheword · 14/01/2008 20:28

Eleved I have been very dry over the last couple of cycles. Someone on MN said that sometimes CM doesn't always reach your knickers but is up there.
AND
DG has just said somewhere that she found plenty of CM high up when she was on cervix watch. I'm trying not to read too much into it but if anyone else has another an opinion I would be grateful too.

Eleveld · 14/01/2008 20:21

I am TTC to conceive (think on CD 26/27) and have been particularly (in fact, very unusually) 'dry' this month. Practically no CM of any description.

Anyone else had this at certain times? Should I read anything into it?

Thanks

07mumstheword · 14/01/2008 20:02

Oh thanks scary it makes sense now. I've collected the fertility monitor from my friend today so I will use that in conjunction with temping. I still have a few CB opk's aswell so might do that as well!

ScaryHairy · 14/01/2008 19:52

Yes 07 - temp going up and staying up for three consecutive days is confirmation that ov has already occured. By the time the temp goes up it is usually too late to get pg (the ideal time for sex being shortly before or around ov).
I use OPKs, CM and cervical position to spot when ov is coming and then use temps to confirm that it has happened and that my body did not just "gear up" for ov and then stop for some reason.

07mumstheword · 14/01/2008 19:45

DG Although I imagine every possible symptom each and every month when I think back to being PG with dd I didn't have any symptoms until 6-7 wks. It makes you think it's not real but relax and enjoy those tests can't be wrong and I'm sure you'll feel queasy soon.
Also I have a question for you....I've been reading my book about temps and the temp is supposed to go up after ovulation so am I right in thinking that the temp thing is really about knowing your whole cycle rather than dictating the best time to BD? If your temp goes up it appears you've missed the boat so to speak. I will do more reading but you explain it all so well.

Shazza I'm so glad to hear things are going well! Thanks for thinking of us.

Sorry about your BFN Jollybear When you get a BFN you just want AF to get on with it so you can start again?

Welcome loubers & PrePG good luck in your TTC quest.

Hi MOB Hatty Bucky and anyone else I may have forgotten.

ScaryHairy · 14/01/2008 19:41

Hi everyone

Sorry to hear about all the BFNs. I had one too myself, but then I cracked and tested at 9 DPO so what on earth did I expect?! Bucky it sounds like yours was too early too, so you never know...

MrsSparkle - could be AF, but could it be implantation?

I am 9dpo (or only 7, depending on whether or not you believe Fertilityfriend) and symptoms include really bad cramps and bloating (could be gastro, could be AF, could be implantation), the roof of my mouth tastes funny (metallic? kind of bitter), and I have a sore left boob. Unfortunately if it does turn out to be negative this month I am going to be very disappointed as I have this sort of feeling that it might have worked this cycle. None of this is based on anything much other than the certainty that DH and I had sex at the right time for once... Fingers and toes are crossed.

MrsEi25 · 14/01/2008 19:35

hi girls
just thought i would pop over (iv got a 2ww for my 2ww!!) and wish all the soon to be testers good luck xx

hattyyellow · 14/01/2008 15:56

Hiya PrePG and loubers!

Fingers crossed for BFP's for you both

PrePG · 14/01/2008 15:21

Was previously on the 'Waiting Till January' thread...but since it's January, can I join you all?

6dpo - last night my breasts were so swollen and HEAVY that I ahd to ask DH to feel them to see if he thought the same. He said they felt much denser than usual and they looked quite veiny too.

Today am feeling yucky in my tummy, sore lower back and heartburn, I think. Also getting hotflashes (but that could be down to not knowing how to dress for the freaky London weather anymore!) and feeling a bit lightheaded/dizzy.

thanks for letting me share

loubers · 14/01/2008 14:53

I have been trying for no3 for 3 years now and almost to the point of giving up. I am on day 24 of my cycle and have been having weird brown potting (sorry tmi)for the last few days. I have just turned 39, so wondering if my body is really telling me something, "like your too old love for more babies"!

hattyyellow · 14/01/2008 13:55

ps MOB well done you for the alcohol free weekend, I am so impressed!

Jollybear sorry for the BFN..how confusing with the EWCM though, hope that a BFP still turns up for you

hattyyellow · 14/01/2008 13:53

MsSparkle - could still be pg signs...fingers crossed...

Anyone mind if I just yell arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh into cyberspace?

Finding the wait this month as hard as the first month we started trying again.

Was so calm the last few months, but now it's just infuriatingly annoying and I am finding it so so frustrating.

Bucky what happened to your mantras?

MsSparkle · 14/01/2008 13:06

Hello all, my tummy felt really tight last night and i have cramps this morning. Purhaps Af is on her way??

JollyBear · 14/01/2008 12:51

Thanks MOB lets hope it is money well spent for the both of us!

I'm not sure I have definately ovulated so I've bought some OPKs so I'll know next time. It definately is my CM nothing BDing related

DG Maybe AF is on her way then! This is very confusing! Hope the Dr is lovely to you.

Hello shazza great to hear all is well with you!

digitalgirl · 14/01/2008 12:45

JB I get EWCM the day before AF. BUT, there's a chance it could be Ov, even if it's pink-tinged (some women get mid-cycle spotting). Get BD'ing tonight just in case

MOB

bucky ebay cheapie at lunchtime? I think you'll find those are invalid test conditions. you may strike that BFN from the records and carry on as you were...

Hatty yes, my body's clearly taking a bit of a breather.

Have booked a dr appt for Thursday to hopefully get myself into 'the system'. How am I supposed to do any work this week?

Shazza2002 · 14/01/2008 12:43

Hi ladies.

Hopefully you'll still remember me.

Just wanted to pop in and say congratulations to DG. You were my cycle buddy so was keeping an eye out.

MTW will be checking up on you also, let me know how you get on with your CBFM, I think mine really helped, oh and DP had a little input too .

Good luck to the rest of you, hope you all get your BFP's very soon.

Shazza xx 10+4

madoldbird · 14/01/2008 12:31

jollybear I know what you mean about ttc being expensive! We've already spent loads on books, thermometer, OPKs vitamins etc, and we are nowhere near conceiving a lo yet! Let's all hope that it gets us what we want in the end.

Sorry for your BFN this morning. I can't pretend to know what EWCM this AM might mean. I know that just before AF i get a sort of green tinged discharge, which is, i believe, the plug that seals the cervix after ov coming away. What are your cycles normally like? Have you definitely ov'ed? (I'll check in a min but was it you who hadn't got a +ve opk??) Or, forgive me if this is a far too intimate question, but has there been any BDing recently? () as both his and hers fluids can resemble EWCM. (Feel free not to answer that!) Hopefully someone will come along with some more helpful suggestions in a minute!!

JollyBear · 14/01/2008 12:18

Morning all,

BFN this morning for me but no AF yet, but I have now got EWCM! Can anyone tell me why I'd have it now on CD34?! It is a bit pink so I presume AF won't be long but I'm so confused Anyone have any answers?

Hattyyellow Fingers crossed for you holding out! luckybucky Sounds like you tested a bit early so fingers crossed. Hope you both join DG

MOB Glad you're feeling more positive. I might get the book but after already aplashing out on OPKs and a thermometer this morning I might have to hold back on any more TTC shopping.

Welcome mssparkle Shreksmissus I've missed you on this thread.

TF Hope all goes as well as can be expected today.

I shouldn't really confess to watching such cosy Sunday night telly but did anyone see Kingdom? It made me feel even more broody.

LuckyBucky · 14/01/2008 11:35

ClairePO I am CD28 today, my cycle can be anything up to CD32. However, my arrived on CD15 so with a 11 day LP, assuming I ov on CD16 AF should show up today? No sign yet, am on knicker patrol. I did do a v. cheapy HPT (like 20 for £3 cheap) on Saturday and I did it after lunch and it would have been 2/3 days early and it was BFN...but given the circumstances, I am holding on to those straws....

madoldbird · 14/01/2008 11:10

AAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!! Wow wow wow DG Am for you! I have to confess to a tear in my eye when i caught up with the news. Many congratulations, but can i echo what others have said, and ask that you don't leave us? You are full of knowledge, empathy and humour, and we need you here.

shreksmissus lovely to "see" you, have been wondering how you are doing. Sorry to here you have been so down about things. Never be afraid to come in here and have a good rant, though, we all need it.

mibbes (or mibbles!!) a belated thanks for the hug the other day. Yes, am feeling more positive now, especially after dg's news! Have got that book, still ploughing through it, but am starting to apply some of the dietary suggestions. Have ordered a few other books too, so am going to be busy! Just trying to pick up any hints and tips that i can, which i will of course share on here!

twinklingfairy thinking of you today, and the rest of your family, at the funeral.

MTW sorry about AF, and Bucky sorry to hear BFN (too early?)

hattyyellow good luck with your resolve to hold out and not test. BFN's are so depressing. Let's hope in a few days it is a BFP for you.

Well, shall we have a grand prize draw for the remaining places in Mrsei's dream?! DG can have the honour of doing the draw..."roll up, roll up, get your BFP's here"...!!

Shock, horror, i have had a completely alcohol free weekend!!! Can't believe how hard it was! Especially friday evening which is normally my "it's the end of the week, let's get the wine out" time. I just know that last time i did it it, along with diet changes, it really regulated my cycle. Here's hoping!!

Good morning to everyone i haven't mentioned. Hope you are all well and happy.

hattyyellow · 14/01/2008 11:02

It does take a while to get your head around I think dg.

I remember not feeling a huge amount of symptoms at first and that was with double the amount of pregnancy hormones...I found the same all the way through pregnancy and used to tell myself that my body was taking rests in between bursts of baby-forming activity...

I just nearly cracked and did a clearblue (working from home) but then read it needs to be FMU if testing early..so quite glad not to know just yet!

digitalgirl · 14/01/2008 10:40

sorry to hear AF got you mtw but you definitely sound like you've got a whole load of things to keep you occupied. temping is brilliant and I've heard so many good things about reflexology....so this could be the cycle for you .

hatty feel bit weird today. woke up and remembered I was supposed to be PG, but didn't have any symptoms like i did yesterday morning. cramps have disappeared and so have sore boobs. did a CBD and it came up 'pregnant' so that was reassuring. I'm just hoping that the crippling cramps i've had for the past three days were due to implantation.
if I'd not tested yesterday there'd be no way I'd feel inclined to test today.
so got my fingers crossed that this lo is big fat sticky one and I am in no way taking it for granted.
