poor you sandies...
so it's currently normal for you to have 8 days of spotting before AF comes then?
doesn't sound right to me. is it worth going back to the docs? you may have low progesterone...which can also cause m/c's. but i'm not a doctor, it's only something i read in a zita west book.

Gunge is just spotting. Heaving bleeding =CD1 CD 22=brown gunge CD 31 = heavy bleed again. Sorry, I didn't explain it well.x

Sandies petal, poor you. I'm being a bit dim here but are you on the 2nd brown gunge now? After the heavy blood on CD31? Is it a lot of gunge or more like spotting?

Pretended all was well and mc 'one of those things' to friend. She is due within days to my ex due date. Did such a good job of convincing her that I'm ok that she feels fine to ring me and ask advice. I have told everyone that I have no intention of getting pg again. Bored yet?

Poor DG, story unfolds. Pg clearly not 'right' and had to go to hospital many times. Eventually scan showed no progression but body most unwilling to part with it. D&C followed, and confusion!! First period 25 days then brown gunge, 31 days the most hideous blood loss known to women kind. Now 22 days then brown gunge and very tearful. Disappointment I think, rather than pg. Part 3 in a min

I went to the hospital a few months ago as I keep getting an abnormal smear and periods have become longer and heavier so they tested for the old bird disease-menopause. Before I got the results I got a BFP - after 6 years of trying. Part 2 to follow in a minute - you asked for it

sandies do you know when/if you ovulated? I hear boots own brand are rubbish (tend to not work), but the rest are all pretty much the same. Clearblue and First Response are pretty reliable (some of the cheaper tests turn 'positive' after an hour or so...).

I know all about long and complicated cycles, so feel free to spill the beans if you want

pixie great to hear from you. glad to hear things are moving on for you to help make it easier for when you get back on the ttc wagon. hope your 'talk' with DH is all positive too. take care of yourself.

bucky sorry to hear you think AF is on her way...do you normally get spotting and cramps before?

and sorry to hear of the BFNs abby & mtw - but there's still time!

well nothing to report here on CD4. DH and I cracked and decided to break our 'no presents because we're going on holiday in Jan' rule and get each other stocking fillers only. I got a couple of extra days freelancing this week, so I felt that I couldn't really stick to the original deal.

I know and it was on my insurance cos cyclists don't have to have any. When I lived in Cambridge I cycled every where but didn't damage anyones car, and stopped for red lights etc.

OH well all over now,

to symptoms!!! I am getting craps but way too early for AF. CD15 I OVed on day 12. Trying not to get too excited. Must go and put DS to bed it's so late.

And yet, hedgepig, if we were to beat them, it would be us who would go to prison . Have to be careful as DH used to cycle everywhere. I think this is probably why he didn't rough-up the offender this afternoon - secret sympathy for the bloke!

don't talk to me about cyclists Abby, I had one cycle into the back of my car so hard (I was stationary at a roundabout) that he dented it and scraped it so it needed a respray of the boot (I'd only had it 3 weeks)

I suppose it is one of the joys of driving in Cambridge.

Oh, p.s. for those of you concerned for the cyclist's well-being: he tried to argue with me, told me to learn to drive and walked off. DH had to convince me it was a bad idea not to run outside and damage his bike!

Promise - I'm usually much more tolerant of other people! It's been a bad few days

Sandies am in admiration of your bravery - Christmas shopping in Leeds! I forced DH to take me in November, because I would hurt people if I ever had to battle the crowds in December again. Saying that, I did have an altercation with a cyclist in Tesco today. He cycled across me (as I was pulling into the spaces) in the carpark, going the wrong way around the one-way system, then had the cheek to spout something at me as I nearly turned the car in onto him. So - hormonal moment - I tracked him down in Tesco, like a crazy woman possessed, and informed him of his error! DH stood back, looking sheepish - he claimed he was sizing him up, in case it turned physical . That'll teach him - do not mess with abbymeg when it's a week before Christmas, she has no kitchen and it's likely she's not conceived again .

Hedgepig and Abby - bad news for the BFN but it is too early.....
Excellent Christmas spirit Bucky, Leeds was full of people with similar festive attitudes It really does not bring out the best in shoppers...
CD24 for me, spotting brown gunk, slightly sore boobs and feel like my back may break at any moment. Crabby as hell and af hanging over me like a black cloud.Think I may just take sweeties from babies, kick over OAP's sticks and cut my nose off to spite my face.
Feel much better

Abbey and MTW . Sorry about the BFNs however, its not looking good here either. I have had a bit of (tmi alert) brown spotting and my cramps are crippling. So all said I am sure TEW will turn up with her pointy hat and broom in tow . I am pretty gutted too this time round. Cycle 8 is going to suck....8!! Sorry to be insensitive to the 8+ month possee...I know you have been waiting even longer, but EIGHT months, I could almost have had the bleedin baby by now.... I will grasp at the last straw and hope she doesn't turn up proper for now....

Mums naughty early test here too. BFN as well . Have been feeling quite miserable.

Two men rolled up in a van and asked if they could have my rather battered oven from the heap of kitchen piled in my driveway. So DH and I watched as they loaded up the remains of £250. They also took the rather hideous brown sink, circa 1980. .

B&Q this evening I think...

Awwww mtw really sorry to hear about the bfn. How early were you testing? When is your af expected (apologies if you've already written this, I'm hopeless at remembering things)
