Happy New Year Everyone!!!

Sorry, have not been around for ages. Welcome to newbies and big congrats to the BFP's.

Have only had v quick read through of all messages, but just wanted to say hello to everyone, and lets hope that 2008 brings us what we all want!! I'll read through messages properly later to catch up. Have noticed, though, bucky you have a "new year" name - very good!! I'll have to ditch the "turkey" now.

Am feeling (and looking) very fat now, after all the festivities. i think i officially weigh more than i have ever done, so guess what my NY resolution is??!! (aside from getting pregnant of course).

Have had a bit of a strange cycle. Am now CD28, but got 's late on CD's 17,18,19 (and poss longer but i ran out of sticks...) don't know what that means, but i know it's not meant to happen. BDed on CD 17 & 20. AF technically due today, and had a few cramps, but if i do come on it will mean my luteal phase is way to short. All in all not feeling hopeful at all. Have decided to concerntrate on diet and fitness in next couple of months, particularly diet as i have discovered in the past that it can be great at getting those hormones under control.

Well, sorry, have gone on about myself far too much. Now life is back to "normal" looking forward to more mn time, and catching up with everyone.

OOh! Thats three of us with ov on new years!
I got such pains last night but was sort of pleased cos it meant that ov was happening. Though, for 3 months now it has been CD17 and I have lost my opks so not entirely sure that it was ov
Also no EWCM at all
However, yesterdays temp did take a dip and this morning it shot up. Although, this morn was actually about midday!!

BD with DH this am anyway, you don't think it was too late do you?
We BD a day after ov pains, last month and nada, so feeling a bit negative about it all really.
Also ended up in tears, for a wee bit last night, cos that was the new year in and I really thought I would not be drinking cos I would be pregnant and instead was not drinking cos I had agreed to driving, thinking I would be pregnant. Are you with me so far??
Felt very silly cos my sisters new boyfriend saw me with my red eyes and was all concerned and I couldn't say anything, just laughed and said I was being a silly moo and to not worry about me

As for symptoms, can you have any so soon, felt nauseas a few times yesterday and boobs were a bit sore this am?
We BD on CD8, ov CD12 do you think some could have survived?
Na, I didn't think so either

LuckyBucky · 01/01/2008 21:56

Oh and meant that maybe gg is back wc 7th...not that she was going to NY on wc 7th.

LuckyBucky · 01/01/2008 21:55

Hmm did eat Cheese today though Scaryhairy, which last time I checked was not a diet food. I made DP take pics of me in my underwear today though so I could do the before and after thing ...yeah right!

DG, I don't thing GG is back yet, she was going to Glasgow and then on to her New York trip...maybe wc 7th? I think we should def be testing buddies .

I have been doing a bit of research though....yes, I know, my Googling obsession has reared its head again. Although I don't think most people on the thread now have witnessed my amazing website finds before . Anyway, I have a stabbing stich like pain...ovulation pain. I was trying to find out at what point the egg will actually hatch. The LH surge is supposed to happen about 24-36 hours before the egg is hatched, but the stabbing pains are supposed to mean that the egg is being pinged out of the tube thingy at a very very fast speed hence the pain...suggesting the egg is hatching now . Am going to BD tonight and tommorrow night, but won't manage it in the morning. It will be too much of a shock having to get up at 6am again to actually get round to doing the deed. Hopefully THIS time something will happen [fustrated emotican].

Um, this is an 'all about me' post...sorry .

ScaryHairy · 01/01/2008 20:54

Happy new year everyone!

Can't quite join you on the wait yet... was expecting my today but my little egg seems to be missing in action. It had better hurry up - DH will be going away with work again from next week. Arg!

Good for you starting your diet Bucky. Mine begins when the chocolate runs out...

digitalgirl · 01/01/2008 20:51

woohoo bucky! An early night for you and dp tonight

If you ov tomorrow maybe we can be testing buddies

At only 1dpo I am feeling particularly positive. If only because I'm much more sure I've hatched an egg this cycle and so feel like I've got a fighting chance

I'm sure I'll be posting all sorts of symptoms over the next two long weeks. Bucky can you remember when GG's back?

LuckyBucky · 01/01/2008 19:18

Well didn't miss it...the turned up today. The lines were extra dark today too so not sure what that means, whether you can tell what part of the surge you test .

LuckyBucky · 01/01/2008 13:40

HAAAAAAAAAAAAPPY New Year. May 2008 bring you a BFP and everything else you wish for.

No sign of any egg here? Haven't peed on the stick today yet last couple of months it's been CD14, today is CD15 so maybe it has hatched late? or I missed it? Who knows. BDing all the same. However, I have started my New Year diet so how conducive (sp?) that will be with conception I don't know. Let's hope Sods Law prevails.

digitalgirl · 01/01/2008 11:16

Hello girls

as im on the 2ww (im lurking more than posting)..im on 5 or 6 dpo (ov day was 24th)..but my breasts are ssooo tender..is this too early to have the pg signs as i think so..

ScaryHairy · 29/12/2007 22:06

Well done Excitable - send some of your good luck our way, there's a love!

Readyfornum2 - it sounds like you are in the same boat as me as I also have an 18 month old (a DD in my case). DH and I were saying today that we had better hurry up and conceive number 2 before DD hits the terrible twos and puts us off. Judging from the mammoth tantrums she threw today we really had better get a move on!

Bucky it is going to happen for you. New name = better luck.

I am sitting about waiting for my egg to pop out at the moment. Anytime in the next few days could be O day, which will be good timing as DH is around for once. Fingers crossed....

Excitable · 29/12/2007 18:17

Hi LibraLady - Pregnancy Tracker thinks I'm due on 31st August, but I have wacko cycles (41, 27 and 45 days) so really, it could be any time between the last week in August and the 2nd week in September! Never mind - just happy to be PG really!!

libraladytistheseasontobejolly · 29/12/2007 17:39

Well done excitable. Many congratulations. When is your due date? August or September?
