Come in, take your heels off and get cosy!

Sorry, meant to say that it was last month that we failed miserably on. I don't know if that was clear or very confusing.

There were heaps of other typos too, sorry about them

twinklingfairy · 03/01/2008 22:30

I am so confused by my body at the moment
There I was, certain I had ov'd but my temps say otherwise. Now I am on CD15, waay too early for anything to be clear, and I am getting bouts of nausea and sore boobs and nips. I never normally get them.
A fair amount of EWCM and my cervix is still not terribly soft yet.
What is going on??
Need to BD with DH, again(managed it CD12), but we are both knackered. Don't think we have caught up with the new year excesses yet
FEel like we are goin to miss teh boat, at this rate, but at the same time (ridiculousl, I know) feel like I am pregnant so convincing myself there is no rush.

Poor you bucky do you think it is the pressures of all the TTC that has put pressures on you. I know DH and I failed miserably cos he felt pressurised. Though I didn't mean to, I guess I did. Arguments ensued and no BDing was done So I guess what I am saying is that I feel for you and hope that he sees sense before it is too late.

ScaryHairy · 03/01/2008 19:45

Sorry to hear about BFN MOB. Do you think you might just be testing a bit soon after ov?

I'm heartened to hear that some women do still ov even though they only get a negative OPK. In my case I just think that I haven't ovulated yet. If that's the case then time is getting short - DH is away from Monday to Friday next week. Looks like this might be yet another occasion when my family planning is planned for me by DH's job. Grrr.

Bucky - I'm sorry you've had a fight with DH. These things always seem to happen at the worst time. I'm sure it will be ok and that you will both work it out.

It's nice to see you again Coolkat.

coolkat · 03/01/2008 19:36

Bucky - sorry to hear about your argument, hope he apologises in a big way.

Well ladies should not really be on here but had m/c early Dec and did not bleed for long have not taken any precautions so just waiting as i do know when would of ovulated etc. If no period by end Jan will go doc's but thought I'd hang about as desperate to join you all again!! I suppose I could be pregnant but time will tell.

I hope your ok, madoldbird - BFN does not mean BFN until fat red lady sings.

PicknMix · 03/01/2008 17:29

Bucky my little cycle buddy!!! I feel for you that you had such a bad argument, I hope DH sees sense and apologises big style soon.... Scarily enough, same thing happened last night to me and my DH which meant that we too 'missed' the egg boat this month (although still have ewcm he's doing a night shift tonight so no more bd'ing even if we made up!) there must have been something in the air last night....

Sorry for not saying hello to everyone else - am stealth posting at work but couldn't just lurk when my cycle buddy is suffering!!

Will post again tonight from home.... xx

LuckyBucky · 03/01/2008 17:14

Aw thanks everyone, but the argument was BIG argument and it was DP that has been bad so there will be no making up coming from me. I'm not actually sure what to do about the situation so am hiding out at work so I don't have to go home. .

madoldbird sorry about the BFN. When is AF due? Could there still be hope? Many people have had BFNs testing early and then tada..they get a BFP. Hope that is you too.

beaniesteve · 03/01/2008 15:54

Ok - I think I am on Conception Day 24, my cycle seems to have settled at 29 days now.

I don't know.... I would love it to be this month, hope so... fingers crossed.

madoldturkey · 03/01/2008 15:00

Oh, Bucky you poor thing - similar things have happened to us before. It may not be too late at all tonight - you can't be certain when ovulation takes place, even though you have detected a surge - and don't forget that the egg can survive up to 24hrs as well. How about sending him a romantic, loving text, and if that is well received follow it with a dirty text, just to put him in the mood for later! And if i remember right you were planning a BD on tuesday evening? So those swimmers should certainly have hung around long enough. I know you said earlier that you were worried that you don't produce EWCM but apparently some women can't detect it very easily, and the wettish stuff (that you may also not detect) is also good at keeping the little loves going. So go for it tonight - the most important thing is that the two of you sort things out and make up in the time honoured way!

dg hurray for your sore nips! Although you say they are not as sore today, i'm sure that it's all a good sign, as i also thought, as other people said, that it is caused by rising progesterone. Hope you don't have to wait long for your test results.

mrsEI25 hello and welcome. Have seen you on the other thread but it's nice to have you over here.

scaryhairy i understand some people (who go on to get pregnant) never get a +ve opk, so maybe you will be the same. Also, it may not have happened yet - i was convinced i'd missed it this month, but it was just v late.

twinklingfairy yes keep BDing just in case!

anniemac I know what you mean about symptoms - over the past few months i have realised that my body gives out just about every pregnancy symptom possible during the 2ww - seems cruel somehow!

Hello to everyone else! Who's got snow? We've (down in Kent) have had quite a lot over the past couple of hours but none of it has settled. It's *&@!ing cold though.

CD29 today, still no AF though had some cramping this morning again. Had a weak moment and did a test first thing. Was a BFN, although i have convinced myself that there was half a vvvv faint line. I have thrown it away so i can't obsess over it, as it really wasn't anything that could even possibly be regarded as anyhting but a BFN. DH excited that i have got to CD29 with no AF - he doesn't seem to get the idea that as i ov'ed late then AF will be late. Haven't got the heart to tell him about the BFN - he's so hopeful.

digitalgirl · 03/01/2008 13:19

oh bucky - sorry your so . I completely sympathise. Sometimes the pressure of having to bd makes what would have been a little row turn into a full blown argument. When was your last BD? Could you have had some swimmers waiting? Also, tonight isn't necessarily too late. If you can bring yourself to call a truce.

i know what you mean about taking a break, i felt that way before christmas. it's certainly helped others either with a surprise BFP or allowed them to relax properly. although i don't think i'm ready for a break just yet.

i have no news other than Fertility Friend has decided I ov'ed on monday (my original guess), even though i now think it might have been yesterday. FF has been wrong before, so i might stick with my own judgement. Nips not so sore today, but still a little sensitive, so who knows?

absolutely gutted. DP and I had the biggest row we have ever had last night. Consequently no BDing occurred on the most important night . So bring on yet ANOTHER bfn. I am seriously thinking of taking a break for ttc. . Has anyone got any good new to cheer me up?

I know the feeling twinklingfairy. I've given up trying to find my egg. ECWM all over the place and tummy complaining, I pee on a stick and... nothing. Poor DH is being continually pressed into service "just in case".

twinklingfairy · 02/01/2008 21:46

Well, I took my temp this morning and it was back down again and a load of EWCM too.
But I defo had the pains I normally get with ov
What is going on??

Ah well, let the BDing commence

MrsEi25 · 02/01/2008 20:44

they are alot earlier than with DD and i didnt even guess i might have been pg with her either so i didnt test til i was a few days late!! we were TTC for 10 months but decided to put it on the back burner while we moved house and funnily enough BD'd on the night before the move and hey presto a bean was created!! new house new baby is the saying isnt it!!
xx ei xx

ScaryHairy · 02/01/2008 20:36

Sounds very promising Ei. Are they the same symptoms as you had with number one?

Rich tea biscuits do not count, Bucky. They are not nice enough to have many calories, if any at all. (This is one of the fabulous diet rules that have made all of my size 12 clothes redundant...!) I am on the Toblerone. Do you think it is any good for conception??

MrsEi25 · 02/01/2008 20:26

hi everyone!!
i was just wonderin if you guys mind me joinin you for a spot of symptom spottin as im drivin the TTC threat girls mad i think!! i see a few of you are on here too so it will undoubtedly be a friendly crowd!!
well my symptoms seem to be... v. tender boobies, tiredness, 24 hour nausea and a spot of vomiting aswell!! i thought it might have been down to my crimbo cold but that has gone now and the symptoms havent gone in the slightest if anythin they have gotten worse!! (im on CD26 of cycle 2 TTC#2 BTW!!) so what dya reckon girls?? sounds promisin??
xx ei xx

LuckyBucky · 02/01/2008 20:05

mmm. Crostini fruit and nut dark....yum. . Ate biscuits today , no cheese yet though. I only ate Rich Tea biscuits though, don't think they count as real biscuits...

ScaryHairy · 02/01/2008 20:00

DG I always get sore nips in the second part of my cycle, so I think it does relate to progesterone.

I am v confused this month. My egg is AWOL. I wish it would hurry up before DH leaves London and I have to wait for yet another cycle...

Bucky - I have one of these www.hotelchocolat.co.uk/cid/XYRPE5YQVSMOZEPB1YI82DHIDOOFWY0E/chocolate-bars-Chcoslab/. It is the size of my head and I will not be running out of chocolate anytime before Easter!

digitalgirl · 02/01/2008 19:13

tests - apparently I should be able to call up in 5 days and get the results, but am back there for another test (CD28 because I'm a late ov'er) next week so might just pop in and ask.

then I've got a U/S scan on the 21st, presumably to check for blockages. obviously am hoping they'll find a little bean in there, but if not at least I'll find out one way or the other. saves me doing an hpt this month!

OP posts:
LuckyBucky · 02/01/2008 17:06

I never really get EWCM . I think its because I don't drink enough fluids. I rarely drink any water. Also I think it is because I am old in fertility terms....Maybe thats why the I always get BFNs? The swimmers have nothing to stick to...

DG hope you get a decent test result this time. How did it go?

digitalgirl · 02/01/2008 16:39

doh, don't think i've quite ov'ed yet, though I do feel crampy - got a massive (tmi) load of EWCM today and cervix is really high. off to continue with the bd marathon.

sore nips must equal ov nips

OP posts:
LuckyBucky · 02/01/2008 13:33

I can't wait for the chocs to run out.... I have two boxes of Roses, a tube of maltesers, a box shape tube of chocolate buttons, a whole dundee cake, macaroons, fudge, toffee and trifle left . Our parents came with masses of stuff and left it all here. If I eat it all before I start to not eat it, I will be HUGE!!

DG I will Google sore nips.

JollyBear · 02/01/2008 13:12

Happy new year all!!

Congrats Excitable and Starlight what a lovely start to the new year for you both.

twinkling sorry you feel so down. Hope you feel a bit better today.

Madold No AF is a good symptom! Hope it stays that way for you.

Well I'm on the 2WW now. I'm on day 22 (hello cycle buddy DG - hope your test goes well), but I had a little bleed (TMI alert - just brownish not red) on CD 18 and 19. Any ideas anyone?! Is that too early for implantation? I have no idea when I ovulated which doesn't help

SH and DG I agree on the healthy eating AFTER the chocs run out! I wouldn't want to waste them.

digitalgirl · 02/01/2008 09:49

Today i have sore nips. haven't had these for a while hope it's the progesterone. going for a day22 test at lunchtime, wonder when I'll get the results this time.

Last cycle I did this test on CD29 and the results (when i finally got them) showed I hadn't ovulated by then.

Anyway, must get back to work. My NY resolution is to not spend as much time obsessing over symptoms on MN (ha ha yeah right think I've broken it already)

fairy not everyone sees their EWCM, but your temp rises about 0.1 degree every hour hour so if you took it late then it might have shot up because of that...it might not be too late, I'd keep bd-ing just in case!

bucky what about sore nips? how are they caused?

MOB maybe the flurry of festivities has caused you to ov a bit later than usual? hopefully you won't get AF today (or for a further 9 months), otherwise it may be a week late.

SH I'm with you on waiting for the chocolate to run out.
