Hi everyone, it’s my first post on mumsnet, I spent a LOT of time reading through these threads when ttc my son and they helped so much.

Now I’m back ttc my second and it is only our second cycle and I am already much more desperate for it to happen than I was the first time around with my son 3 years a go.

I think it’s because it took us 10 cycles to conceive my son and I’m already heartbroken over it potentially taking that long (or longer) this time around.

Anybody else out there ttc their second baby and feeling the same anxiety? I swear I drove myself mad last cycle, it’s no wonder it happened really, I was borderline insane with googling, symptom spotting and even poas as early as 4dpo Confused

Hi ladies

It's been a while, but after the loss at the start of December we have decided to try again. I'm now in my first 2ww of this TTC. I am both desperate for and terrified of good news.

Received letter from fertility clinic saying my blood results will be discussed at a follow up appointment in 3 months time. Previous blood results were deemed “borderline” due to incorrect dates by GP. Awaiting appointment for gynaecology scans; will keep you all updated.

May I join this thread please?
Me and my DH are thinking to try for #2 around feb/March - seems a away off but trying to get my head back into it all. We adore our LO and we promised ourselves conception wouldn’t take over our life last time - it didn’t but we desperately want a sibling for our LO so need to keep grounded!

Looking for some help... I've done some tests yesterday, all of which i'm not 100% they are negative...

first I done 2x tesco tests
then a clear blue early detection
and then a FRER

Am I crazy or is there a slight line on the FRER? It appears pinker in person very hard to make out but i'm convinced there is something there for sure?

Do these look like evap lines or am I going crazy :(

All pictures were taken within the 3 minute window aswell TIA xx

Well that’s me out for another month. Af got me this morning, bang on time 😩 I was feeling hopeful this month! But I guess it’s on to month 6..

Welcome @AmberRH1993 hope this thread can give you some good luck! A lot of the ladies who were commenting on the beginning have gone on to get their BFPs now 🙂

@Moonshine160 Oh that sucks! How are you feeling with it? Half of our family tested positive just after Christmas but we’ve managed to evade it somehow! Take some time to rest, try not to worry too much about ttc!

Morning all. I tested positive for COVID yesterday and I feel so poorly. Ovulation is today sad manage to DTD last night (with DH putting all the work in) while we both wore masks! If I didn’t laugh I’d cry. Just really didn’t want to miss the window of opportunity. I feel really rough though so I doubt my body will let me get pregnant this cycle sad does anyone know of anyone who managed to get pregnant while they had covid?!

Omg yes the bloating is bad for me too same with nausea , sore boobs & totally exhausted

@Kiaa all good thank you. About 10 weeks now, still no appointment for a scan yet. Did pay for an early one though at 7 weeks as I had some bleeding, we saw a heartbeat and they were measuring bang on time so all good hopefully!
Just lots of nausea and bloating!!!

Happy new year ladies - I was hoping I could jump on 😊 DS turned 2 last month and I came off the pill in November - now cycle 2 TTC baby #2. Currently CD5 and looking forward to this month after a wild cycle with all of the symptoms you can imagine and faint lines making last cycle very confusing indeed.
Opks at the ready and app suggested Ovulation on 11th.
Has anyone had their BFPs or anyone around the same stage as me?

@L0ts yes it was kind of reassuring at the same time so just keep trying in the meantime whilst waiting for these tests. Have a good Christmas:)

@Borolass84 Ergh, sorry they’ve said that! It’s not fair really because it can take even the healthiest couple up to a year to conceive! I don’t know why she would make you feel like that by telling you it should have already happened. I really would try and not worry too much about it just yet!

As an update for myself I am on cycle day 19 and I had positive OPKs on days 12-14 which is the exact same as last cycle, I also had a temp rise on day 15 which made me believe I’d possibly ovulated on day 14. I tested again the following day and they were negative. Anyway, I have now had 2 positive OPKs on day 18 and 19 so I’m a bit confused really as to if I’ve even ovulated? Temp is a little lower today too. Ergh this is so confusing 😩😩

Just got off phone to gynaecology department. OH results are fine despite low testosterone his sperm count motility etc all fine. My bloods are confusing; she said the bloods aren’t quite right time she said with that level I’d suspect you’re pregnant already! Which I’m not :( Going to hospital for bloods in Jan which include progesterone again, thyroid and amh. Then got to go back for stomach and internal scan. If found that I’m not ovulating, il be prescribed something for it. If no joy after trying for 2 years we get 3 free cycles of ivf as OH in military.

AF arrived today, a day late and I was so hopeful so I’m gutted. We conceived our DS straight away so I don’t know what’s happening this time. Onto cycle 4 now.
