Hi everyone, it’s my first post on mumsnet, I spent a LOT of time reading through these threads when ttc my son and they helped so much.

Now I’m back ttc my second and it is only our second cycle and I am already much more desperate for it to happen than I was the first time around with my son 3 years a go.

I think it’s because it took us 10 cycles to conceive my son and I’m already heartbroken over it potentially taking that long (or longer) this time around.

Anybody else out there ttc their second baby and feeling the same anxiety? I swear I drove myself mad last cycle, it’s no wonder it happened really, I was borderline insane with googling, symptom spotting and even poas as early as 4dpo Confused

@Kiaa I think I’m going to try and wait until AF is hopefully late!! I think I’d rather see AF show then BFN after BFN 😩 The app I use is saying she should arrive Sunday but if I were to go off what I’ve always gone off in my head without the app it should be Friday or Saturday.

I said yesterday these aches weren’t here anymore but they came back last night and I struggled to get comfy in bed. Kinda worrying if I’m not pregnant what the hell is wrong with me? 😂😂

@L0ts with my first I never knew I was pregnant until my period was really late, i only did a pregnancy test to rule it out - I thought I must be late due to work stress. Which is actually helpful for symptom spotting as I had none last time so nothing to watch out for which helps. It's hard going isn't it, knowing what to look out for, what's a good sign and what's a bad sign, it's all so stressful!

Hi everyone, I'm TTC my second as well, currently in the fertile period of cycle 7. I fell pregnant without really trying with my first so this has been an experience! This month I'm doing the 'sperm meets egg' method and with my longer cycles it means we've been having scheduled sex for 16 days now 😅. I am hoping to test my progesterone this month as bought a home testing kit but will depend if I can work out exact ovulation date from my temps, my temps seem to rise a little then jump up and I don't know if I ovulate before the slight rise or the big jump, and worried that pattern means something is wrong. Anyway good luck to everyone! Be good to keep checking in and seeing how everyone is getting on x

Also, anybody else waiting for the same symptoms they had when pregnant with their first? 😂

I had the flu for 24 hours when my son must have implanted and now when I don’t get that around 6/7dpo I just automatically assume I’m out. Even though I know all pregnancies are different.

I also had sore boobs and a face full of spots around 10dpo so I look out for that too! But I know I shouldn’t compare at all, so hard 😂

I feel very not pregnant today 😩 The heaps of cm and achiness seem to have subsided so I’m a bit like meh, maybe this isn’t the month after all.

I’m with you on trying not to test. I have 2 frer and about 15 Internet cheapies in the draw, but I made myself so miserable last month testing every day that I just refuse to do that to myself again! 😩

8 DPO for me today! My chart looks like I may have had an implantation dip yesterday but omg trying so so hard not to get my hopes up! No other symptoms at all! ☹️
I’m terrible at waiting to test but going to try my best to wait a few days - hopefully I’ll have a few more symptoms in the next few days too.

@L0ts @has30 thanks for your sympathy, DD was up alllllll night with the same cold so sleepy all round here today! Having said I couldn't symptom spot, I've had very definite cramping in one side today, think it's too early at 4/5dpo for it to be implantation cramping though. And a week off AF. So not sure what it's about!

@has30 Oh man, isn’t it weird when you’re back in the tww? When your period arrives you feel like you’re so desperate to get back in to your fertile window and before you know it, you’re back in the tww AGAIN 😫

@RunningOnHope So sorry to hear you’re feeling shitty with a cold. There are some naaaasty viruses going around atm. My son had a stomach bug this week, luckily me and my partner don’t seem to have caught it though! 🤞🏻I hope you feel better soon and fingers crossed for us both next weekend!

I was feeling positive the last few days but today I feel like I don’t think I’m pregnant at all and I’m just awaiting AF to arrive 😩😩

I’m 7/8 days away from my period and trying so badly not to symptom spot or let myself get carried away. I seem to have loooads more cm this cycle and all day yesterday my lower back, hips, tops of my thighs and groin area just ached.

So hoping it’s a good sign 😩 Temps suddenly gone super high as of yesterday too which puts my mind at ease thinking I surely ovulated and possibly had a delayed temp rise!

Well AF is due 2 weeks today so I guess this is the start of my TWW! Not holding much hope this month as we didn't get much chance for alone time. I hope this week goes nice and quickly for you and it doesn't drive you too crazy symptom spotting!

@RunningOnHope isn't it rubbish that a bit of a cold or illness can basically ruin a whole month of trying! Still entirely possible to conceive I guess.

Hope you both have some good news for us next week!!

@L0ts I'm similar timings, AF due next Sunday (only 3/4dpo today though, I have a short luteal phase). I'm been looking out for more CM, hardly any today so not looking good. I've also had this horrible cold that has really knocked me for six, so impossible to symptom spot and aches or twinges! Willing it to be a BFP for both of us by next weekend!

@L0ts if your temperature stays higher for 3 days means you should be around 3 or 4dpo looking at your chart anyways
Haha it so easy to forget but I put a reminder on my phone 😂 well for everything theses days lol

I have no idea what dpo I am tbh! My chart is all over the place but I seriously have the worst sleeps ever and take it at a different time every morning, sometimes 20-30 mins after waking up (bad I know) maybe next month I’ll take it more seriously 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

I know I am about 9/10 days before my period is due and the last two days I have had cm literally gushing out to the point where I’ve thought AF has arrived mega early. Last night I woke with trapped wind type pains in the middle of the night, something I complained about in the tww when we conceived my son 😬🤞🏻

Hope my body isn’t just playing cruel jokes on me, but we shall see!!

Ovulation confirmed for Saturday for me meaning I’m 4DPO today - hoping the BD on Wednesday and Thursday will have been close enough, keeping everything crossed!
My chart looks identical so far to my previous one for DD1, so I’m taking that as a good sign for now 🤞🏻
Hoping the next week goes nice and quickly haha!

Looks like cd14 you may of ovulated
Because temperatures has slowly risen
If it stays risen that's a good sign
Not sure if your app puts a coverline as that will help look for any drops/ implantation

Hi ladies! I haven’t caught up on comments just yet but I wanted to ask what you all think of my bbt chart. When charting with my son (I only did it twice before conceiving) I had a temp shift at CD18 so I’m concerned how normal this looks and as though there isn’t much of any change in temp at all??

I am a little all over the place with doing it though, I’m a restless sleeper and my son doesn’t sleep through the night. So 9/10 I’ve definitely not had 3 hours rest before taking it. I have had ewcm all week and very distinct ovulation pain at the weekend, I’m confused?

Af has arrived. Fingers crossed for next month!

I’ve bought a load of ovulation sticks - my cycle is around 33 days so I’m not sure when to start testing with them!!

I start testing around day 13 because I tend to ovulate day 15 to 19, but if you're not sure start on day 10 for a few months!

I finally got my OPK peak tonight, which means I'm just about in the running for this month - excited for the tww now!

I usually start testing after cd10
