@Equimum I'm really sorry this must be stressful. Not knowing this going on is the worst part isn't it. Can you ring the epu and see if they can see you earlier with the bleeding? They might be able to prescribe progesterone to stop the spotting xx

Equimum · 25/10/2021 08:43

I hope nobody minds me posting here again. My pregnancy symptoms seemed to come back over the weekend, but in the typical way of this cruel journey, I started spotting last night, and today, the bleeding is getting heavier 😞. Typically, it's half term, so the kids at where, and we have workmen in! I just want to huddle up in a private space, but no option for that.

Babyghirl · 24/10/2021 17:30

@skaterchick
My mil is wild but a good wild, my oh sis is gay and she bought her a card for her birthday saying all I want is dick for my birthday with a pic picture on it 😂😂😂😂😂😂

SkaterChick · 24/10/2021 16:10

@Babyghirl if we hadn't have just had the MC then I probably wouldn't have been so bothered by it!
I don't know the mil well enough to know how she's take a comment like that 😂😂😂 been with the dude for 2.5 yrs but we don't see his mum that often

Babyghirl · 24/10/2021 16:05

@skaterchick
Awkward 😂😂😂😂😂😂 very nosey mil you have 😂😂😂😂😂, I would of told mine dildos but them my mil prop would of asked for a lend of it cause she like Mrs brown boys lol.

SkaterChick · 24/10/2021 15:46

Eurgh, when you wanna nip to Poundland for opks and the dude invites his mum to walk up the shops with you 😬
We'd popped in for a cuppa and was gonna go to the shops on the way home. I had to ask him to distract her and take her into another shop while I went to get them.
She then kept asking what I had gotten in there I just said oh cheap toiletries she then kept asking what toiletries, dude stepped in and went oh she goes through so much hand cream. And when we left her he did comment about how nosey she was being 😂
She knows we want to get pregnant but doesn't know about the MC, and I'm not in the right headspace/mood to discuss it with her so I didn't want her knowing what I was buying 😂

Babyghirl · 23/10/2021 13:53

@HOpeing
I knw think I'm ovulating now as got a bit of pain in my left side so you never know lol wishful thinking 😂😂😂😂😂

Equimum · 23/10/2021 12:02

H0peing I'm sorry you're still feeling so anxious. I have everything crossed for you.

Yes, I thought it would be relatively easy to just get a private appointment, but there aren't my many places offering them near us, and they're really all super busy. Our nearest did say that have never been so busy, but then again, most 12 week scans are being done nearer 14 weeks, and they can't fit me in at the local midwife clinics. The doctor yesterday said local maternity is totally overwhelmed!

H0peing · 23/10/2021 11:54

@Babyghirl That's great news in reaching top of the list for ivf!!! Really hope everything else gets sorted out quickly so that you can start ivf ASAPSmilexxxxx

H0peing · 23/10/2021 11:51

@Equimum I am so pleased that the doctor you spoke to has made a referral for you!!! Next Wednesday must still seem so far away but glad that you have it booked and don't have to pay. Sorry to hear that the clinics near you are so busy as the main point of private scans is usually paying to be seen quicker than the NHS.

I'm really sorry to hear about your 3 week wait before. I have a friend that had a similar experience to you and in her next pregnancy she ended up having scans every 2 weeks to avoid what she went through before, a mixture of NHS and private. She is now heavily pregnant so I really hope that this time around will be a positive one for you too.

It's such a shame how our bad experiences can taint our current pregnancies. I still worry most days and I'm not sure I'll ever fully relax. I've spent far more money than I ever planned to on private scans and have been so grateful when the NHS have offered me extra scans as well.

I'm sure you'll keep us updated about how Wednesday goes and I'm hoping that it's all good news on Wednesday xxxx

Babyghirl · 23/10/2021 11:16

@skaterchick
Hopefully your landlord is OK with it for yous to go ahead.

@Equimum
Not to bad we started feeding them puppy food last nite lol they loved it.

Equimum · 23/10/2021 10:07

PeanuttyButter · 22/10/2021 18:37

Fantastic news @Babyghirl so happy for you!

Equimum · 22/10/2021 16:42

Yay, that's fantastic news babyghirl. I hope the end get their arses into gear and you can start really soon.

Miraculously, the male locus I spoke to today was way more caring and understanding that any of the female doctors I have spoken to to date. He said this wasn't usually criteria for a referral, but he felt it appropriate. He also apologised as he knows the service is terrible, but they will see me next Wednesday.

Babyghirl · 22/10/2021 14:51

Well ladies have received a letter this morning to say I reached the tope of the list for ivf 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈 but my rmc consultant asked me to put on hold until I had my mri and he had results so have phoned his secretary to see if she can get him to ring me to c if he has looked at my scan results yet and to c if I can go ahead.

Equimum · 22/10/2021 11:15

Thanks babyghirl. My DH rang our doctors surgery and said that they had misinformed me about the EPU. The reception just said that she though it was too early for them to do anything anyway! Will see what the Gp says later. Apparently it's yet another one I've never seen, spoken to or heard of.

Babyghirl · 22/10/2021 11:03

@Equimum
Awww sorry your having it tough hoping they return for you to set your mind at rest. Hoping the epu fit you in but I think giving what you been through before they should fit you in without a referral.💚

@PeanuttyButter
Hoping she shows up for you to get it out off the road the first after a loss is always the worst one in your head all over the place. I'm cd 10 today so ovulation is soon so on it tonight lol. Hope you have a great week. And get spoilt rotton 💚

PeanuttyButter · 22/10/2021 10:25

Congratulations on getting this far @H0peing it must feel amazing. I'm praying for you and baby.

@Equimum I know how you feel, you won't feel better until you get that scan. With my alst pregnancy I tried to keep in mind that 'At this moment I am pregnant, even if it doesn't last this baby deserves me to to be happy (not sad or anxious) so I am going to try and enjoy it'. I say that but if I get pregnant again il be a nervous wreck still haha

@Babyghirl got a busy week coming up as it's my birthday Wednesday so lots of plans. However I feel like the mother of AFs is on the way, first one post miscarriage. Been cramping now for 2 days, feel really uncomfortable, gassy and been in a foul mood. I actually apologised to DH yesterday as he was irrigating me by just existing tbh. Was snappy with him too. Hoping it comes soon tbh

Equimum · 22/10/2021 09:57

Thanks H0peing. I know loss of symptoms is rarely considered reason to scan, but I lived with this for three weeks in February, being told everything would be fine, and then at the 12 weeks scan, we found baby had stopped growing around the time the symptoms stopped. I can't spend four weeks like it again. I have looked at private places near me, and the two I've called can't see me until the end of next week. Apparently there's a lot of pregnant women at the moment (which may explain why my booking appointment has been made miles from where we live, at a random drs surgery I have no connection to, rather than at the clinic at my own). If my GP is as dismissive as I expect him to be today, I'll just have to book and wait.

Sorry, I've also realised that I've posted under my general MN name - I have been on here quite a lot under a different name. I've not just rocked up to moan today!

H0peing · 22/10/2021 09:51

@Equimum I'm sorry to hear that you have not had a better response from the EPU as some do allow self-referral but I really hope that your GP can arrange a referral for a scan. From listening to other people talk about their healthy pregnancies, loss of pregnancy symptoms can happen in healthy pregnancies. I'm only 11 weeks but my symptoms have been off and on so far so I did worry and I really didn't know how this pregnancy was going until I had the scan this week. I'm not sure that loss of pregnancy symptoms will meet the criteria for an early NHS scan. I've only ever been referred by my GP for painful cramps, spotting or bleeding. If you can afford to then another option would be to pay for a private scan as most companies seem to offer these from as early as 6 weeks. I've used Window to the Womb a couple of times now so I would recommend them. I'm not sure where you are based but I know that there are several branches and the Bexleyheath branch had a special offer when I called to book my scan discounted to around £59 I think. I think there may be cheaper companies out there too. Xx

Equimum · 22/10/2021 09:07

Congratulations H0peing.

Gorgeous puppies babyghirl.

So, I hope nobody will mind me putting this here, but I think I'm somewhere around 8 weeks pregnant. All symptoms have suddenly disappeared this week. I called my GP and the receptionist said it's too early for them to do anything, but as Imm clearly anxious, she'll get someone to call me between 3-6 this afternoon. She advised that if I was really worried I call the EPU. I said that I thought it was HCP referral only, and she said no, GPS don't have the time to make referrals now. So a I called the number, and guess what, it is HCP referral only. So I'll be sat here until late afternoon, and basically, well into next week, as the referral sonny even get made today, even the GP agrees to it. Sorry, just feeling really anxious and sad. As I say, I hope nobody minds me posting this here!
