Good afternoon ladies,

I hope you are all well.

Would any of you like to jump on this 2WW train with me?

Time is going by so slowly but hopefully we'll be able to keep each other sane!

Just a little but about myself.

Hubby and I lost our first baby at 19+4 due to my incompetent cervix. We were absolutely devastated and we still are to be honest. We have decided to start trying again partly because we really do want to start a family but also because we know that women are more fertile after miscarriage/baby loss and we want to make the most of this window. I have PCOS and my cycles are typically long and unpredictable. It was a bit of a miracle I managed to get pregnant so quickly the first time.

I definitely ovulated last week, I had the cramps, EWCM and everything. The only issue is i have no idea which day I actually ovulated. The last day of my fertile was Monday this week. Hubby and I did quite a bit of baby dancing last week including Sunday so I'm literally praying for good news at the end of this 2ww.

I'm just going to act as though I ovulated on Monday so I should be at least 2dpo now.

Praying this thread turns into one of those lucky ones where we all get good news xx

Can I join? I am 9dpo (4 days post a 5 day embryo transfer) after two previous early losses. My clinic have told me not to test until next Friday Shock

Blondiebrownie6 · 10/09/2021 14:09

Yes holding on to the 2-3 sign @Anxiousnewbie @Daisyamelie. Another cheapie today is stronger still so something is happening. That must be tough with your partner being away :( but I understand why you’d wait so that he can be there to support you. Keep you chin up, you still have time

Anxiousnewbie · 10/09/2021 10:05

@MaltyJones92 it sucks that feeling of a BFN. Hope you're okay. As they say it's not over until AF arrives hopefully cramps could mean you've conceived?

MaltyJones92 · 10/09/2021 09:39

@Anxiousnewbie I'm 9dpo today and caved. BFN on a FRER as usual Sad Also had some cramping yesterday/this morning which always happens the week before AF.

Anxiousnewbie · 10/09/2021 09:19

Welcome to all those who have joined this thread!

BFN for me today at 10/11 dpo on a Frer and early CB sigh not feeling too positive now about this cycle😞

Hoping everyone is doing well. Got my fingers crossed for you all!

Bundaberg84 · 10/09/2021 08:40

@Bundaberg84

Congratulations *@TinyShrew17*!!! Exciting!

@Daisyamelie unless you're having very short luteal phase, 4dpo is in my opinion too early for AF building up. Progesterone starts building up, yes, but that's what happens if you're pregnant or not. And implantation wouldn't happen before 6dpo so you're still very much 'in the game'. Fingers crossed!

@Daisyamelie I don't know why or how your name popped up, sorry :) That was re: @Aims1991
FirstimeTTC · 10/09/2021 06:12

Morning girls! Hoping I can join 🤍 I'm 3dpo (chart attached) I have very long cycles which drags out our TTC journey, currently on month 10 after a MC in March 20.
I have recently been diagnosed with PCOS, patiently waiting for my fiancé's fertility appointment next week!!
We are both 24, getting married next year after postponing due to the big C 🙄
Have been on lots of these threads and always love to see people's success stories as it gives me a bit of hope (which at the moment I am lacking)

Heya can I join you please! I'm 4dpo and highly impatient haha. Congrats on the BFPs to this dog you who have them already!

Aims1991 · 09/09/2021 19:39

Hey looking to join in. TTC month 7! And now 4dpo! Trying to stay optimistic but had little twinges in my stomach and I think it's AF building up to hit in the next week🥺

MaltyJones92 · 09/09/2021 19:11

@TinyShrew17 I definitely see it!!! Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

I'm also 8dpo but trying to hold off until Saturday as the amount I've spent on tests over the last year is shocking 😭

hoola23 · 09/09/2021 18:58

@TinyShrew17 I see it! I got my BFP at 8dpo but it was fainter than yours!! Good luck! Xx

TinyShrew17 · 09/09/2021 18:49

I've altered the lighting so you can see it a little better on the photo- what do you think?

TinyShrew17 · 09/09/2021 18:40

I caved and tested about an hour ago. 8dpo, I know it's very early...but I think there is a very faint line. Shock

Bundaberg84 · 09/09/2021 10:29

Interesting. I'm now having that metallic taste in my mouth which I had in both my pregnancies. I really don't know if I start to imagine things or not. But it started after drinking water, so no weird thing I ate. And I haven't had it after my coffee. hmmmm!

Daisyamelie · 09/09/2021 10:22

@Blondiebrownie6 that does sound really stressful and I am sending lots of positivity your way!! Really good that you’ve got the 2-3 on your digital bow as deffo meaning hcg is rising!
I’m going to wait until Sunday which will be 10dpo as that is when my period is due (I think - I’ve had short literal phases the last 2 cycles which makes me nervous) but if it’s a bfn will wait until later next week if no AF. I’ve been very bloated last night and today and lower back ache which is what I usually get before my period so I’m trying not to stress too much.

My partner is going away next summer in august for 6 months (military) and if it’s not this month or next that it happens we are going to have to wait until after he’s back to try again as I don’t want to be giving birth alone! Or having a tiny newborn and him being away for the first 6 months of their life.

So I’m feeling a bit rubbish tbh.

Hope everyone is doing okay xx

Anxiousnewbie · 09/09/2021 09:29

@Blondiebrownie6 that's sounds so stressful, and I hope everything turns out okay. It sounds positive that your clear blue got to 2-3 weeks! Keep us posted and hopefully Monday will lcome round quick so you can get some answers!

I'm on 9 or 10dpo I'm holding out until tomorrow to test with Frer, although it's taking me all my might not to do one today. Symptoms so far are just cramps and frequent peeing. How's everyone holding up? When is everyone thinking of testing? Hoping to see lots of BFPs soon!

Blondiebrownie6 · 09/09/2021 07:52

Thankyou @Bundaberg84, yes you’re totally right! The lack of control is a killer! I’ll Defos keep you posted xx

Bundaberg84 · 08/09/2021 22:15

I'm so sorry you're in that position. Waiting is so gruesome. I'm not particularly a controlling person but the lack of control in these situations kill me. Please keep us posted xx

Blondiebrownie6 · 08/09/2021 22:12

@TinyShrew17 good idea writing it down, will help keep track and help you understand your body better :) thankyou, I’m trying to keep calm, it’s a very nerve wracking time , I think I cried myself out this morning lol but ok now. Just a few days to get through!

@Bundaberg84 it was because I took Clomid this month and was being monitored by the Infertilty unit, they check progesterone to confirm ovulation. They done 2 bloods (at roughly the same time each day) as they couldn’t be sure what day I actually ovulated. If they re check hormones and progesterone and it’s decreased again, it possibly won’t support the pregnancy as it should be rising. I said to her today about some reassurance as I had read that it can fluctuate but she wasn’t particularly positive and just said there was nothing they could do just now as it’s to early and to wait until next week and that it could be biochemical. I’m holding on to the fact I got the 2-3 today and the line on FRER has progressed so HCG is rising, I’ll do another tomorrow to see. Who knows , I just need to relax I know x

Bundaberg84 · 08/09/2021 21:42

@Blondiebrownie6 I have never heard about measuring progesterone levels in early pregnancy and to potentially find out if it's a chemical. Couldn't that be a coincidence? For example how many hours you were on an empty stomach? And your pregnancy test showing 2-3 weeks is a really positive sign no?

TinyShrew17 · 08/09/2021 19:52

Update on symptoms:
6dpo- nothing new really, just a bit grumpy- little things annoying me
7dpo- creamy cm, bloated/gassy, bit of dull cramping, back ache (but I've had this for a few days, think my backpack was a bit heavy!) but it seems to be more lower back today

It's so easy to get lost in symptom spotting- but also, I kinda want to write it all down so I have this to refer to next month!

@Blondiebrownie6 sending you lots of good wishes! Wait until Monday and hopefully you'll have some clearer answers, don't give up just yet. A bit of cramping in the first week is normal I think, while your body adjusts. Got my fingers crossed for you Smile I'm sure it will all be okay!

I don't understand the whole checking the cervix thing really. I've read about it but haven't tried!

Blondiebrownie6 · 08/09/2021 17:52

Thankyou @Daisyamelie, I spoke to clinic today just to get my progesterone results out of curiosity and they were 51 but dropped to 36 a few days later 😩😩 they think I could be having a chemical! I’ve to wait until Monday before they’ll do any further bloods!! I got my 2-3 on clear blue today (ovulated at the earlier date so would be 14dpo today) so I’m unsure what to think now. In limbo until then. Feel so crampy and that AF is gonna start any moment!

I keep hearing about checking the cervix but I’ve never done this! Defos be careful with the thrush lol. Could all be symptoms for you , the wait is the worst! Will you wait until 10 DPO do you think?

Enjoy @Bundaberg84 sounds like fun and the perfect distraction! Enjoy xx

Bundaberg84 · 08/09/2021 16:02

@Daisyamelie after the first cycle I was pretty relaxed in the 2ww, but not THAT relaxed. And as I'm having a wellness weekend Saturday - Monday and don't plan to bring tests with, I won't be tempted to test :)
