Thanks, @October1979, I think maybe it's different when the pregnancy is more advanced because they say they won't medically manage it if the hcg levels are still going down. The hcg had fallen since my last blood test so it definitely isn't viable. They suggested going to an epu but I think I would just end up waiting for hours to be told they want me to naturally pass it, so it's likely that I'm going to have to speak with an abortion clinic if I want the process to be accelerated. Just so depressing, but I really can't face being faux pregnant for another 5 weeks or however long it takes to process, not to mention the abject misery of just waiting for a miscarriage to happen. I'd rather be able to control when it happens too given that I'm travelling to Spain for work next week and my last miscarriage was a bit of a horror show. The clinic called while I was at work and until then I had kind of held it together but I sobbed my way through the call. I just about managed to pull myself together before i had to speak to anyone at work - lots of deep breathing and sticking my head out of the window...!

Feeling very sad and sorry for myself :o( apologies for the very depressing post!!

@littleangle46 All fine. All tests within normal range. But given progesterone just in case also temp using Ava and have static smiles on Clearblue every month. That with 3 day rise until period suggests I'm ovulating. Just think it's poor egg quality.
@Mattieandmummy congratulations 🎉 so pleased for you.

@99pctpractice I'm so sorry to hear this. I had MMC found out at 9 weeks and babies had stopped developing at 7.5 weeks. I had medical management for this MMC and my last . I hope you have good news at next blood draw. Will keep you in my thoughts. I know exactly how you feel. As soon as I found out I opted for medical management xxx

@October1979 hi, did they ever checked your prolactin levels after the miscarriage? Hi prolactin prevents ovulation, you may still have periods but anovulatory cycles.

99pctpractice · 02/03/2022 16:57

Congratulations @Mattieandmummy !! So great that you have hit that milestone :o)

I have less good news - my hcg levels are not high enough for where they should be, so I'm going back in tomorrow for another blood test but it looks like this pregnancy is going to end in miscarriage :o( sorry, I know this is a bit of a sensitive topic, but for anyone who has gone through a similar experience, was it medically managed or did they wait for a natural miscarriage to happen? My last miscarriage I didn't find out until 10 weeks even though the development stopped at 5/6 weeks and I'm not sure I can cope with 5 weeks of pregnancy symptoms while knowing that it isn't viable :o(((((

TTCat40 · 02/03/2022 16:43

Congratulations @Mattieandmummy 🎉🎉🎉🎉That is fantastic news! Relax and enjoy! 🥰🥰
Thanks for sharing. Gives me hope ❤️

DOB78 · 02/03/2022 16:20

@mattyandmummy ah that's fantastic news!! Congratulations to you and yours x

Mattieandmummy · 02/03/2022 15:15

Just popping in to say had my 20 week scan this morning and all looking ok. Another little girl to add to our family, I hadn't really allowed myself to get excited until today but I'm starting to feel quietly really really pleased x

DOB78 · 26/02/2022 18:03

Ah thankyou @99pctpractice I really hope you have a lovely sticky little bean tucked away in there. I think we're pushing it at 44 but I'm not ready to give up hope just yet so I'll try anything

99pctpractice · 26/02/2022 16:54

Hi @DOB78 I'm 40 - I have relatively low amh (2.7) and based on the ivf, my eggs aren't great quality either because we didn't get any genetically normal embryos. Really hoping that this one is but we'll just have to wait and see!!

DOB78 · 26/02/2022 14:19

99pctpractice I've just ordered Ubiquinol and Vit D so hopefully it will work for us too. I hope you don't mind me asking and I'm sure you've probably said this before but can I ask how old you are?

99pctpractice · 26/02/2022 07:03

Hello @Maybebaby7 It's recommended to take folic acid (if you aren't already) when you're trying to conceive. Otherwise, I also take vit d and was taking ubiquinol for about 3 months as well - it's quite expensive but lots of people seem to think it helps with egg quality.

MariaDingbat · 25/02/2022 22:19

Hi ladies! My first child was concieved and born when I was 40 and now she's 15 months and we're trying for no.2. It may be folly as I'm now 42 but we're going to try! Currently almost at the end of my TTW for cycle 3. I had 2 miscarriages before my daughter and have a thyroid condition so she was hard won but absolutely worth it.

Maybebaby7 · 25/02/2022 20:04

Feeling awful I’m sure it’s nothing but I’m in bed. Feel sick and cramping on and off all day. X

@Littlemiss41andfabulous congratulations!! Wonderful news.

birdbybird · 25/02/2022 12:54

Been away for a while after my operation in January and now back into TTC.
Congratulations @99pctpractice!
And to you too @Lemonbell ! What cycle was this?
@Maybebaby7 I was told to take the baby aspirin after a bfp.

Maybebaby7 · 25/02/2022 11:50

Just wanted to ask has anyone been advised to take baby aspirin and if so at what point of ttc. ? X

Maybebaby7 · 25/02/2022 10:52

Morning ladies. How are you all doing? 8 dpo according to flo today. Hurry up test day.
Not feeling hopeful as only dtd twice this month, not taking any vits or anything.
What supplements does anyone recommend. I have previous taken boots trying for a baby tablets.
Will use cb ov tracker next month x

Momddun · 23/02/2022 23:00

@Littlemiss41andfabulous

Hi everyone,

Little Elena was born via Caesarean section on Tuesday 25th January, weighing 8lb 6oz. Currently sleep deprived but enjoying my first few days of being her mummy ❤️

What a journey since beginning to TTC roughly 2 years ago, and seeing those 2 lines back in May! Proof it's possible to conceive (your first) aged 41. I hope this encourages those of you still trying for yours.

XxX

awesome !!!!Such a cute little girl ... thank you for all the positivity... loads of love to you and your little princess
DOB78 · 23/02/2022 18:33

@TTC@40 Me either!! I was married for 22 years so condoms went out the window and I've been with my new partner 2.5 years so it's gonna be a bit strange..........

DOB78 · 23/02/2022 18:29

@stuntbubbles I know its a very weird thing to use when trying foe a baby but heyho I'll do as they ask even though they don't really give a reason.

Hahahha BD will now be known as boning daily much much better than baby dancing!!!

DOB78 · 23/02/2022 18:25

@Lemonbell congratulations 🎊!!! Hoping its a sticky little bean x

stuntbubbles · 23/02/2022 17:44

Congratulations, @Lemonbell!

@TTCat40 I vow the same each month but if I don’t have tests in the house I just go out and get some, or start googling for medieval witchcraft tests like weeing on rabbits or squatting over a fermented toad, then eventually cave and buy something expensive and waste it on a 4pm half-hour hold at 2dpo after three pints of water, like a fool. Well done on your willpower, hopes it’s rewarded with a BFP!
