And it makes picking a name easier 😉 x

Marvellouslymadmum · 09/10/2021 16:36

@Catconfusion it must have been so strange having no scans, I know mum mum didn't with me, but I guess you can't miss what you've never had! I think knowing what it is makes it all more real and definitely helps you bond too xx

Catconfusion · 09/10/2021 16:11

Thanks @Marvellouslymadmum scanning is definitely a big business now. It must have been so hard, especially for those who’d been through losses. Going back further, people didn’t even have scans. We’re very fortunate to have had 5 NHS scans so far. Ironically the only private scan I’ve had before was with my first pregnancy as my midwife wouldn’t refer me due to a small amount of spotting. It was a mmc so it wasn’t nice finding out at a private clinic. We’re going back to the same place for the gender scan and I think I’m only just ready. I’m just hoping it helps me bond with the baby knowing the sex. Xx

Marvellouslymadmum · 09/10/2021 15:06

@ponymum1980 that's great news, glad you're feeling better now!

@Catconfusion so pleased your scan went well, I don't know how I coped with waiting so long between scans with my children! Though there weren't as many facilities for paid scans as there are now I suppose. It was just one at 12 to check everything then one at 20 when you found out the gender of you were lucky, sounds like I was pregnant in the stone ages rather than 15 years ago 😂

Catconfusion · 09/10/2021 09:59

Just checking in to say my 15 week scan went well and I’m feeling lots of movements. I’m still feeling anxious and I wish it would just go away but I guess I can’t help how I feel. We’re going to have a gender scan in a couple of weeks. Mainly to break time up as it’s 6 weeks until the 20 week scan and I won’t see a midwife until 28 weeks! We’re so pleased baby looks healthy though and EPAU have now discharged us. Xx

Catconfusion · 09/10/2021 09:56

@ponymum1980 that’s great news. Great to hear you’re feeling a bit better now. Good luck for the scan.

Love to everyone else! Xx

ponymum1980 · 08/10/2021 10:05

Hello ladies, sending love to everyone. Think that's me at 11 weeks today. Slowly starting to feel more human again 8-10 weeks were hellish with constant nausea, extreme tiredness and mood swings, but tiredness is lifting, nausea has bigger and bigger gaps where I feel genuinely good and human again and loads less emotionally volatile. Got a pregnancy yoga DVD too and my body is feeling lovely now I've mobilised bits of my back that have been really sore from old injuries. Everything from classes and exercise programme says not til second trimester but everything I did before pregnancy that helped my back was advised against (lots of abs stuff) and too sick to ride and I was getting desperate. Taking it gently though and not overdoing it. The fiancé has been magnificent doing the lions share of housework and cooking and walking me 'like a colicing horse'. It's lovely that we can laugh and joke again. I get my first scan in a couple of weeks. Nervous and excited.

Honey2 · 07/10/2021 22:25

@birdbybird glad it sounds like they are going to try some things for you both. I really hope it makes the difference xx

birdbybird · 07/10/2021 21:52

Thanks for asking @October1979.
She suggested a HSG or Hycosy in the next month or so, as well as a 21 day progesterone check and semen analysis for my husband.
Period due in 2 days and temperature is down and had a negative test. Will be onto Cycle #11 shortly.

October1979 · 07/10/2021 21:36

@birdbybird how did you get on with your call from the gynaecologist? Hope all went well xx

birdbybird · 06/10/2021 20:36

Hello all, nice to see some BFPs. I have a call with the gynaecologist tomorrow. It’s the 9th cycle following miscarriage and no bfp. Anyone know what I should ask?

kirinm · 05/10/2021 16:41

Have miscalculated my AF date. Thought it was meant to arrive today so have been half excited it hasn't turned up. But I think it's actually tomorrow 🤦🏻‍♀️

October1979 · 05/10/2021 12:22

Thanks @kirinm they day o get any kind of bleeding I count as cd1.

OP posts:
Honey2 · 05/10/2021 11:10

@kirinm if it’s proper bleeding I would count it as day 1 even if it’s the end of the day…

kirinm · 05/10/2021 10:41

I've had ovulation spotting before and it has come shortly after ovulation rather than when I ovulated. It could be that? @October1979

I've got a very basic question to ask and I should know the answer by now AF due today and feeling very much like it'll come. Last month it arrived part way through the day. Would you count that as CD1 - as it wasn't just spotting. Or would you count the following 'full' day as CD1?

Catconfusion · 05/10/2021 05:42

@October1979 could the pink cm be ovulation spotting? I’ve never had it before but I did the cycle I got pregnant. Got a positive opk and then some pink tinged cm with ovulation pain. I don’t think it’s common but it can sometimes happen.

Glad to hear everything is going on @Honey2 I’m still getting that who am I kidding feeling and I’m 14 weeks now. I don’t think it goes away after loss. There is every chance this is it for you. Sending you lots of luck for your scan. Xx

@Mattieandmummy I’m sorry to hear there’s signs it’s not your month. It’s good to keep a sense of humour. The chemicals really do knock you down. Hoping you get done good news soon. Xx

Gemandi2 · 04/10/2021 21:48

@Mattieandmummy your husband has made me laugh - we have to take the humour when it comes our way - altho we can hope every month no matter what but I agree it does wear you down

Mattieandmummy · 04/10/2021 20:33

Definitely try and stay positive although it's so hard, the continual chemicals really wear you down. I got my 21 day mucus today which I always get when I'm not pregnant - my DH pointed out that I couldn't expect to be pregnant every month which made me laugh at least.

October1979 · 04/10/2021 20:16

Thanks @Gemandi2 I am kind of thinking the same as you.**@Honey2* will keep an eye on things thanks for sharing both your experiences it definitely helps. I hope this is your turn @Honey2* try to stay positive. I know it's hard. I'd be the exact same xx

Gemandi2 · 04/10/2021 20:09

@October1979 after my miscarriage in June I had a period approx 26 days later but then through the second month I had spotting and pink tinged cm for about a week which has never happened before or after. For myself I just assumed it was my bodies way of healing and resetting - don't know if this is the same for you but just thought I'd share in case it helps x

Gemandi2 · 04/10/2021 20:04

@Honey2 congratulations so happy for you 👏

Honey2 · 04/10/2021 19:53

@October1979 did you have a proper period in sept, following the MC bleed in Aug? I had a period bleed around 25 days after the mc bleed and then ovulated normally after that. (I didn’t ovulated between the MC bleed and the Period bleed)

In FF app ovulation is only confirmed after a sustained (3 days) temp rise, so maybe see what tomorrow brings? Or could it be spotting caused by ovulation itself is that a thing???

I’m doing ok. Called the clinic this morning and they have booked me in for an early scan on 19th Oct. I’ll be 6+6 by ovulation dates. I’m 4+5 today and so far ok, no spotting, feel pretty nauseous and sore boobs. Early Progression with the FRER tests was pretty good. I’m going to take a CB weeks tomorrow and see what it says. Sometimes I feel quite positive about this one… other times, (like when I booked the scan today) I thought who am I kidding! Not sure how I am going to make the next 2 weeks!!

October1979 · 04/10/2021 19:12

How is everyone doing? I think I ovulated on Saturday as had positive opk and temp rise. However today had pink mixed in with cm when wiping. Anyone else experienced this after miscarriage? I miscarried on 5th August and no bleeding for last few weeks? Confused x
