@ShellUK09 it also took about 6 weeks for it to all be over it dragged on. I understand just wanting to move forward it's hard when you seem stuck in one place x

Ladylou17 · 09/10/2021 13:13

@ShellUK09 I had a mc at 9 weeks took over a month for a negative hgc, sending love know how hard it is. Hopefully it is positive news for you x

ShellUK09 · 09/10/2021 13:12

@90mamabear thanks for your advice, yes a blood test is the only way to know, unfortunately I have a bit of a needle phobia and avoid blood tests as much as I can! Getting the practice in lately though and have my flu jab this week. A week ago when they did the HCG test it was 63 which was a slight rise from the previous week where it was 43, but they said that was still very low and felt it was hormones calming down after the MC. I think I will buy a digital test and see what that says, then I'll try to step away from tests for a bit! x

@Mama500 sorry you have been through this too. It really is confusing, and you can't feel able to move on and try again, as there's still doubts about whether you actually are still pregnant. The thought of it still being the first pregnancy is scary, but I think the HCG levels would have been higher? I would be 9 weeks then! The hospital seemed fairly sure I had an early MC and I felt like I did as well, it wasn't light bleeding but it was like a full on period. I might look into the early scan, but waiting the extra week would make it more apparent on the scan so might just hold off for the EPU. Out of curiosity I'll try to get a CB digital weeks test today. Yes the ovulation test was very dark straight away. If it is a long MC it is very unfair, TTC is definitely not easy physically or mentally at times. Glad there's people here who we can talk to, really appreciate all your advice x

@ShellUK09 also when you pregnant ovulation test come back positive X

Mama500 · 09/10/2021 12:55

@ShellUK09 I went through this too exactly they same. MMC and then positive tests for weeks after and constant brown discharge. Unfortunately for me it wasn’t a new pregnancy but I’m hopefully for you. I would ask for a hcg blood test then you can know without 48 hours. Have you done a digital weeks test too?

It could be a new pregnancy, it could be your first pregnancy that you didn’t actually lose or it could also be what I had a just a very long mc. Fingers crossed for you I hope you get answers soon I’ve been in that limbo and it isn’t fair.

Are you in a position to pay for a private scan? Although I think 6 weeks is the earliest they will do them x

90mamabear · 09/10/2021 12:48

@ShellUK09 I'm thinking bloods too show hcg either rising or falling is gonna get you your answer. Sending a big hug , I hate that you are stuck in limbo :( xxx

@90mamabear sorry forgot to tag you in! x

ShellUK09 · 09/10/2021 12:30

Yeah it's a confusing situation. My GP isn't able to do the HCG blood tests in the surgery, I have to go to the EPU and after the last visit there they told me to wait 3 weeks and if it was still positive then they will scan me, so 2 weeks left of limbo! I think we would have conceived 17th September if we did, although just guessing, that would make it 5 weeks again which is why I'm feeling a bit on edge again. Just trying to relax and see what happens, work takes my mind off it through the week but at the weekend I have more time to think, getting my haircut later on today anyway so that was keep me occupied! x

90mamabear · 09/10/2021 12:17

@ShellUK09 how many weeks do you think a new pregnancy would be ? X

OP posts:
90mamabear · 09/10/2021 12:16

@ShellUK09 I would wonder too do you ovulate after your miscarriage and conceive again. There is also the Possibility of twins in the last pregnancy . The line is very dark I agree. Can you have hcg bloods done with go to see if rising or falling ? Xx

ShellUK09 · 09/10/2021 11:58

I'm still having positive tests... This is after I had an early MC on 10th September. I'm still hoping this is a new pregnancy as we DTD 16th/17th September but I won't know for sure until they scan me again, got another two weeks to wait before EPU will see me. Surely the tests would have gone negative by now? I was 5 weeks when I had the early MC. I had back cramp last night but it went away quite quickly once I got the hot water bottle out. Also out of curiosity I did an ovulation stick and that was very positive, not sure what to make of this situation! I am going to wait it out though, I'm not in any pain although I do still get light brown spotting only noticeable when I wipe x

@90mamabear just feels like back pain I'd get in the centre of my lower back a few days before AF, so that does have me worried. But AF pains are not for as long as this has been, so we shall see! But it's definitely painful.

90mamabear · 08/10/2021 20:41

@blueberryy are yours agony too? I'm so glad of this reassurance

OP posts:
blueberryy · 08/10/2021 20:32

@90mamabear yeah it's so wild. There's a 2 and a quarter year gap between mine so yeah, maybe just my body trying to remember what to do haha. At first I thought AF cramps, but usually those last for a day, not multiple. So 🤞🏼🤞🏼.

90mamabear · 08/10/2021 20:11

@blueberryy hey welcome to our wee gang. I wish I knew, mine are agony. Like really painful. Like I'm being stretched so badly. I'm assuming it's the massive gap between my pregnancies I hope that's all it is:(

@90mamabear sneaking into this thread, but tell me more about this cramping.... I just got a faint but obvious line yesterday at 11 DPO but I've had wicked back cramps for nearly 4 days now. I don't remember this at all from my first pregnancy. But they're intense!

Fairy45 · 08/10/2021 18:36

Glad everything looks good for you now @90mamabear!! I've got really sore boobs and Im Exhausted. Like could actually go to bed now!

@90mamabear I've heard so many stories now with people struggling to get to 3+ on a clear blue and it being fine.... not worth the stress. What will be will be! Minimal cramping at mo x

90mamabear · 08/10/2021 13:09

@Bridgey8 these digitalis are really stressing me because it has me worrying about progression. I'm act due 14th not 15th so I'm 4 and 3 days . I honestly need to give myself a break. Have you any cramping ? I have so much cramping but I had that last time I'm certain I recall too at this stage ! Xxx

Bridgey8 · 08/10/2021 13:06

@90mamabear so glad you're feeling better.

I have had barely any symptoms. My nipples are sore and my boobs are bigger.... and that's about it. Maybe a hint of nausea every now and then. I don't really feel pregnant in the slightest. But then I'm literally about to hit week 5 so could still be easy days.

Did a test this morn (just a Waitrose own cheapie) and it's similar darkness to earlier in week (still a strong line maybe a touch darker) but spoke to the doctor earlier in week and they told me to step away from the tests as the reality is that they are only designed to tell you if you're pregnant or not and not to show progress - some don't get dark and there are soooo many variables. So to not worry unless I start to bleed or am in pain. So I'm not going to test anymore as it's stressing me out!!!

90mamabear · 08/10/2021 12:23

@Bridgey8 hello ❤️ today my symptoms (sore boobs) have returned and feel exhausted (probably from worry). Took a digi I know I need to stop this am and it's saying 2-3. Yesterday's must have been a blip and I'm guessing symptoms
Come and go. I got such a scare. It looked like my hcg was dropping and I had so much pain also. I'm not sure what happened but today seems normal again. Have you many symptoms. Thank you so much all of you for wishing me will. I think all looks ok. That test going down in weeks really Knocked me all I could think was it must be so borderline which means it's barely went up this week that fluids have been enough to put it back but it must be a one off mistake. I hope! These first weeks are terrifying !
