OMG Misty, that's amazing! I'm so happy for you- I know you've had such a tough ride with the male factor thrown in during your last BFP cycle. Keeping everything crossed that you have a happy and healthy nine months ahead

I've also taken a break from this thread since our last ivf cycle. Had a embryo transfer done yesterday from our second cycle, which I am really not holding out much hope for sadly as it's the worst grade they'll transfer- some clinics just chuck these ones. Got far fewer eggs this time too and this was our only embryo. I have moments where I just don't know how much more I can take and if I should carry on. So lovely news like this brings me so much hope xx

@Misty84 omg - that’s amazing news. I’m going to keep everything crossed that this is the one. For me personally this kind of news gives me hope.

@Marvellouslymadmum Yeah, ideally I would have liked to be younger with two kids but eh, I only met my husband when we were 30 so it is what it is :)

I'm 9dpo today. Might do a test on Sunday (12dpo) though I didn't get a positive with my son until 14dpo. Not feeling overly optimistic but this is a bonus month anyway as we got carried away over our wedding anniversary haha. We were originally planning to start trying in January.

Where is everyone else at, at the moment? :)

Hi :) May I join? I’m 35 (somehow) and trying for our second. Hopefully it will be quicker than our son. He took two years to finally arrive: a natural surprise the day before our first cycle of IVF would have started :)

My husband has low sperm motility but that should be our only obstacle.

@Misty84 somehow I missed your earlier message. Wishing you luck on your second round of IVF. Well done on the gym going - it’s an area I struggle with, but I also find I feel better when exercising.

@Misty84 nice to hear from you, glad you're doing well with the gym, we were going three times a week for about three months then I trapped a nerve in my back and my oh has been on a big job so no chance at the moment ☹️

@Vixyvix1 I am semi naturally lol I'm currently on clomid tablets to help ovulation not that it seems to be working

@thislittlebird your jumpsuit sounds lovely. I think jumpsuits always look so good but I also can’t wear them - I think my body is too long. As @Marvellouslymadmum said it’s just a scan to diagnose unless they remove the womb.

I’ve taken your advice and have a consultation on 9th December. So that’s not too far away. We’ve decided to have one more go with our donor which will be just before Xmas. I’m not holding out much hope really.

@Vixyvix1 hi, it's a difficult decision when to go for the ivf, With it being a donee maybe ivf is the way to go
I also have adeno and was told it won't effect getting pregnant but I'm 3.5 years in now and no luck (also have suspected endo and I'm 42 with an amh of 1.2 so could be anything really)

@thislittlebird you're lucky, I can't wear jumpsuits at all, just make me look short and fat 😂 sounds lovely though! I feel like I need to lose so much weight it just keeps piling on even though I'm trying to lose it!!

Adenomyosis can be diagnosed with an ultrasound scan, that's how mine was done, the only other way as far as I know is to diagnose once the womb has been removed and dissected 😳

@Vixyvix1 I don’t know much about Adenomyosis, did you have a lap to diagnose it?

I think it’s worth doing a consultation with a clinic, even if you don’t want to move ahead with any particulate route yet. They can take a few weeks, you might want to do more than one etc.

I’m ok, I have my husband’s 40th birthday and work distracting me right now. In hindsight I’m glad I didn’t try to go ahead with a November IVF cycle. It would have been too much. But we’re away from Saturday, hence the mad dash to get sorted and packed. I cleared my inbox last night 🙌.

@Carla2601 one (expensive, ethical) pair of dungarees I kept came in a compostable bag. Every other item was in plastic. I’m sure if the Co-op and Amazon can make compostable or paper packaging so could all the high street and fashion shops. I’ll be wearing a teal, velvet jumpsuit from Monsoon which is very seasonal, it’s nice. Never worn velvet in my life lol

I’m sure the Tupperware isn’t to blame but IKEA is a good shout for glass stuff.

How did the day 3 tests go? I don’t mind a hormonal review 😂

@Vixyvix1 that sucks, I’m sorry. It’s bad enough without prehistoric rules getting in the way too. Oh tell me about it it’s enough to drive you totally crazy isn’t it!

@Carla2601 I’ve done lots of overspending on supplements but managed to avoid the Tupperware so far. I hate how TTC send us into obsessing about this type of stuff. As you said lots of people use plastics - but I think if it makes you feel better to not have them then go for it.

Yeah I think it will take a while for any funding to come through if it ever does. Due to my age and lower AMH I would probably have to go private to get seen sooner anyway as where I am it’s 2 years of trying and I’m only just over 1 year. Thanks for the luck. Good luck to you too

Haha glad I’m not the only crazy Tupperware lady...I spent £70 which I probably should be saving for IVF. I’m going to brave Ikea at the weekend to hopefully get some cheaper ones. We work late every night (just got in) so i batch cook and load up the freezer on a weekend and now I’m obviously convinced (in spite of the fact there are a whole heap of women who’ve birthed children eating out of plastic every night) the Tupperware is to blame....the irony is I did it to make sure I was eating home cooked!

Had my day 3 tests this morning so I’ll send you some hormone highlights to review later this week.....a treat for you all to look forward to 😂😂

@Vixyvix1 also totally bitter so don’t feel bad at all! I read something today about a campaign for same sex couples fertility funding but guess it might take a while to come to fruition (wild....I cannot fathom how that can possibly be allowed in 2021!!). Loads of luck to you

@thislittlebird I’ve had tests and the only potential issue is Adenomyosis but I’ve had 2 drs tell me that it’s not bad enough to impact getting pregnant - but I always have that slight wonder. I could also try the IUI route - I think I may need to take the plunge and have a consultation with a clinic. So far I’ve only done a fertility assessment and attended an open evening.

Are you bearing up ok at the moment?

@Vixyvix1 ah ok, makes sense. And tbh, even if you could get funding it can take some time to go through and you might not want to lose that time. If you have a donor, could you try IUI? It’s obviously cheaper than ivf but may be worth a shot if you have no known ovulation/tube/other issues.

It’s horrible not knowing if it’ll ever work or not. I hate the uncertainty.

Yeah this is my first. Unfortunately can’t get NHS funding as I’m in a same sex relationship so I keep thinking I should just get on with IVF if I’m going to give it a go. I have a donor I use but it can be stressful with timings and he can’t always do every month (which is why I’ve had a break). I forgot to say I had an early miscarriage August 2020 as well. I seem to go between thinking surely it’s got to happen to it will never happen

@Carla2601 the bloody discount code wouldn't work the other day, it really annoyed me, so I had to order at the normal prices. I bought a black kimono one and it is really nice, but I'm one size on the bottom and a smaller size on the top, so the top of it is loose, VERY gapey at the boobs, and my bra shows at the back, not sure I want to go braless with such a deep neckline really. I could get it altered but it won't be in time for next week. So I'm debating whether to keep it and make a couple of alterations. Not sure.

I'm likely wearing a jumpsuit now, just not sure what one because they haven't all arrived to try yet. The amount of plastic they use for every item ordered online makes me a bit sick though, it's all so wasteful.

The plastic tupperware fear lol. I've been there and now I've calmed down a bit again. But I did make the effort to buy some new glass tupperware and chuck the old stuff, also switched to milk in glass bottles.

I'm going to be drinking next week. I really don't care for the judgement of people who can get pregnant easily, I'd be living like a saint for years if I cut all this stuff out.

@Vixyvix1 Welcome! I'm 39 in May, don't love that lol. Is this your first? The low AMH thing is hard, there's a few people here with it but it doesn't scupper your chances naturally. Do you get any NHS funding in your area? You definitely aren't alone in being bitter, I'm the bitterest bitch for about a year now :/
