Very nervous about it, but happy too. I actually went to the place(shopping centre) I got the positive with my dd for good luck
My dh thinks I'm mad but hey don't they all

Hi sfxmum - hope you're feeling ok? Lots of people don't wait for a full cycle to start ttc again. As long as you feel physically well, there isn't a major problem with trying again asap- doctors generally advise you to wait so you can date your pregnancy accurately, I think. Personally, I have waited two cycles to start trying again (this is my first cycle of ttc since m/c) as I don't think I could have coped with the highs and possible lows of another pregnancy so soon afterwards. but each to their own. Good luck! xx

sfxmum · 04/01/2008 16:14

Hi all

Kasha sorry no wise words regarding chart

loveangel sorry about driving test, hope you feel better soon

this post mc AF has been heavy, dh is under strict instructions to be accountable for contraceptioneven if I try to persuade him otherwise in a couple of weeks.
I really feel, rationally speaking that we should wait at least another normal cycle

LoveAngel · 04/01/2008 16:02

Hey ladies & ladettes. Been away from the conception boards for a while, but back in the swing of things and started ttc baby no.2 this month after October 07 m/c. Feeling despondent and down about it (trying to be positive, but it's hard...). Been so physically unwell since m/c, it's hard to be all smiley and energetic right now. Also feeling very sorry for myself as I failed my driving test this morning - totally unrelated, I know, but has added to general 'UnHappy New Year' feeling!
Ah well...onwards and upwards. Hope everyone else is ok and let's hope for lots of lovely BFPs and good news in 2008.

KashaSarrasin · 04/01/2008 14:33

Happy New Year everyone! Welcome back lilypink, hope everyone else is OK.

Still no sign of my first post-ERPC AF here . I've been feeling very PMS-y for about 10 days (poor DH ) but nothing yet apart from some tiny spotting on NY day. I'm slightly concerned as Fertility Friend thinks I ovulated on Dec 16th, which was 19 days ago, although I haven't been charting my temperature every day so not sure how reliable that is. We certainly weren't planning to ttc until after at least one normal AF, but there was an occasion where DH and I became overwhelmed by Festive Spirit so I guess there's a small chance I could be up the duff. Not at all sure I'm ready to cope with that at the moment... especially as I'm still waiting for the results of my clotting blood tests.

Are there any charting gurus who'd like to take a look at my chart? Should I go and get a test?

Lilypink · 04/01/2008 09:22

Hello everyone, I have posted on various names of this thread before, but have been quiet for a while. I think a recognise some of the names from before. A quick plotted history 1dd who is 18 months and 2 m/c since July 2007. Now trying AGAIN. And although only first cycle I feel totally fed up. I am used to the whole obsessive knicker watch once I know I am pg. But now I have gone and learnt about checking CM as a way of determining fertility and when to BD. it just seems like my life is just totally revolving around what is in my pants??!!

Anyway enough about me. Happy NewYear to everyone, lets hope 2008 is a good one eh?!

TJuice · 03/01/2008 20:08

hi everyone and happy new year!
hope you are all doing well.

just a quickie, as i am so knackered (still).

but just wanted to check in and say hey.

cricri · 02/01/2008 19:22

Happy New Year everybody - let's hope 2008 brings BFPs for all of us.
Sfxmum it's always good to know that your body is getting back to normal after your mc, although I was secretly hoping for a BFP that first month and was disappointed when it didn't happen. Still, got to stay positive as you say. Good luck with the OPKs this month.
I have my first acupuncture session booked for next Tuesday and I'm hoping it will help with ttc. I know a number of people on MN who have had BFPs after acupuncture so here's hoping.
Hope everybody else is OK. xx

sfxmum · 02/01/2008 16:14

hello ladies hope you are all well and optimistic for the New Year, it is the only way to go I guess

My first AF post mc arrived today, which I find reassuring in a way. got some Ovulation sticks and will be using them this month but only for charting I think.

tale care all

EllieG · 02/01/2008 09:50

Happy new year all! Hoping that 2008 brings you good health and happiness x

merrylissiemas · 01/01/2008 16:07

hello ladies, just a quick one coz have no internet at home at the mo and am at my mums, just want to wish you all a happy new year!!

teeheelaydee · 01/01/2008 11:01

Happy New Year all.

Haven't been around for a while. Was just finding news of people having to join us too sad and also had to do xmas stuff. Literally had to ban myself from Internet entirely !

Looks like everyone has been busy as pretty quiet but glad to hear pg ladies are hanging on in there. The days keep going by.

ronshar · 28/12/2007 17:12

Hello everybody.

I hope you all had a great Christmas. I hope Santa was very kind to you all.

cricri · 28/12/2007 13:39

Hi Ele, so sorry to hear about your mc and sorry you've had to find us IYSWIM. However, you'll find plenty of support on here so welcome.
As far as ov'ing etc is concerned after a mc, everybody is different. Some ladies on here ov'd very quickly, for others it took longer. Some had AF very quickly and for others it took longer too. I can understand you wanting to get back to ttc as quickly as possible (I was the same!) but make sure you also give yourself time to recover from the mc. There is a lot of useful info here I certainly found the site very helpful in the early days.
Hope everybody else is OK? It's been very quiet around here the past few days! Hopefully you all had a good Christmas - we certainly did and we're still eating left-overs!
Verso Great news about your appointment with the consultant.

Ele08 · 28/12/2007 12:40

Verso · 27/12/2007 15:42

Hello everyone - just to let you know I've got my appt through to see the consultant - the week after next!!! Am so relieved. I know he may not have any answers, but at least I'll get the results of the bloods and it feels as though it's positive progress. Happy Christmas, everyone!

DUSTIN · 24/12/2007 17:18

Hello everyone - my family are coming up this afternoon for a week so this will be my last post before Christmas.

So ..... HAPPY CHRISTMAS

I will be thinking of all you who are miscarrying at the mo, trying to get pregnant, trying to stay pregnant and the lucky ones who are just pregnant. I hope the 2008 is a good year for all of us!

Lcy xx

imdreamingofawhiteKITTYmas · 20/12/2007 22:27

hi ladies I'm about 11+1 weeks today not had any bleeding for 7 whole days am hoping thats a good sign surely if anything was wrong I would have continued to bleed? Also have a bump and my pubic area has gone hard too, still feeling sick loads though. I read of mc association website that if you get a hb at 8 weeks you have a 98% chance of going to term at 10 weeks it is 99.something %, good odds ladies.

Got appointment through for first antenatal and it's 23rd January when I will be 16 weeks I am doesn't mention anything about a scan and I was hoping for one next week. I am going to phone MWs direct tomorrow and beg for a scan, I don't know if this baby is dead or alive and they are just leaving me to it. I am so bloody cutbacks, I get one sodding scan no nuchal fold test nothing. Sorry am a bit angry tonight.

jules - those days are ticking by for you, hang on in there, I am thinking of you every day x

Lcy - am for you too I am thinking about a private scan too if they won't scan me soon, it's bloody terrible the waiting and not knowing.

hello to everyone else hope you are all hanging on in there and all your Christmas preps are going well xxx

KashaSarrasin · 20/12/2007 21:44

Lcy congratulations on hb and DH's thesis!

Welcome wannabamummy, you'll get lots of support here!

Tjuice hope you are now tucking into fish and chips!

And hello everyone else

I had my hospital appointment this morning - not really much to report. I had a full internal examination (what fun ) and a good chat, but with the registrar rather than the consultant. I've had bloods taken to test for clotting, but not for hormones as she said that they no longer recommend metformin against mc as the latest research shows it's ineffective. Has anyone else been told this? She didn't sound like she was fobbing me off but I'm going to check Medline anyway. So no great results but tbh I'm just pleased that I've been seen, quickly, on the NHS and that they've been reasonably helpful and supportive (unlike my GP grrr ).

aquababe · 20/12/2007 20:39

good news lissie hopefully you'll get some answers

I don't really know much about fibroids either I think I'm just going to be scanned to see if it's grown. It appeared on my last scan, but wasn't seen on one 6 weeks before by same sonographer. hopefully it'll still be pea sized and they won't have to do anything.

Verso · 20/12/2007 19:06

Not the Purley Way! I live near there!!! lol what a small world, eh?

Not much else to report except enjoying the wind-down to Christmas at work and managing to stay relatively calm the past couple of days. No doubt it will hit me again at some point though...

Lcy · 20/12/2007 18:47

I know what you mean about the medical advice from in laws! Mother in law is a nurse and thinks talking about whether we had sex before i started bleeding is an appropriate conversation at the dinner table
