Your MIL sounds psychic to me Lissie

Lcy · 06/01/2008 17:53

Hi - i have been on the pregnancy boards worrying about everything to do with current pregnancy. I have kept lurking on this thread but didnt want to post about pregnancy worries as it feels to insensitive. How are you doing Lissie?

hi ILTS x

iliketosleep · 06/01/2008 10:48

hi all

how is everyone?? xx

OracleInaCoracle · 06/01/2008 10:38

thanks. how are you? not "seen" you for ages!

Lcy · 06/01/2008 10:35

Good luck at LWH lissie x

OracleInaCoracle · 06/01/2008 10:23

kasha, congratulations!!

and hi to all.

verso, it will get easier, i promise. i dont think it ever totally leaves you, but it does get easier.

well LWH on thursday! cant believe im travelling halfway acrossthe country to see a doctor (but so relieved that we have been accepted by them) bit nervous but sooooo excited. MIL keeps saying "this time next year you'll be holding your baby" i hope she's psychic

Verso · 05/01/2008 22:44

kasha - congratulations.

I don't have much to add except waiting for first AF post ERPC here. Am on day 30 - not that that necessarily means anything after a m/c.

Thought I was ok but then had a bit of a wobble at Sainsburys this morning. There was a six-week-old baby with his sibling and Dad at the checkout next to ours. He was grizzling a bit and I just couldn't bear to hear it. Kept thinking about my first m/c and how my baby would be about the same age - give or take a week or so

Been ok the rest of the day - but it really surprised me, the intensity of the emotion at the time. I had to go off to the loos to have a cry and compose myself! DH stoically bagging the groceries, and wondering where I'd gone...

(Will it get easier?)

ClairePO · 05/01/2008 20:33

aqua its awful that lurking feeling of impending edd isn't it? I think the turn of the year made it feel worse, 'here's 2008, where's my baby?' You have a few days to sort out for feelings and talk to OH and if necessary go back to the docs to talk to him/her about ttc without waiting 3 months.

Congratulations Kasha

KashaSarrasin · 05/01/2008 20:02

Hi everyone, hope you are having a good weekend!

aquababe it's so hard trying to know what the right thing to do is, isn't it? I guess at least if you've got AF back you know your body is getting back to normal.

I'm starting to feel sick here which I hope is a good thing! I think I'm around 5 weeks, if I did O on the 16th that would make 5 weeks tomorrow. I've had some spotting but trying not to stress about it, the pg I had most spotting with was the one that worked out OK (DS). Other than that, just sore norks and feeling dizzy all the time!

kate2179 · 05/01/2008 17:46

Hi TJuice did you mean THAN get obsessive rather than THEN get obsessive?!? LOL because THEN get obsessive sounds much more likely in my experience!!!

TJuice · 05/01/2008 15:30

kasha - yaaaaaaaay!

congrats lady!

that is so fab. i know you must be worried but its great news.

aqua - its good to have a break in terms of headspace, but you'll also know when you are ready to try again. i kidded myself that i needed a break mentally but i think i just didn't want to be disappointed every month. better to just get on with things and secretly see what happens then get obsessive (at least that is what i thought). hope it works out for you, either which way. xx

hi lilypink, loveangel (you'll be a better driver for failing the test - at least that is what i told myself!) and sfx.

sfxmum · 05/01/2008 14:02

hello all

aqua take heart I know how you feel, I keep taking out the due date wheel and checking 'If I conceive here then the baby will be born then' etc and in the back of my mind factoring in any possible mc
BUT I am positive
hand holding if needed

kasha how does it feel this morning?

hope everyone else is feeling ok

aquababe · 05/01/2008 12:37

hey people got my first af since mc through yesterday and spent day feeling totally sorry for myself.
I had decided to wait a little while before ttc again as this second mc has affected me so much ,but the thought of having to wait so so long for another dbaby is wrecking me too. my doc wants me to wait for three months this time (also gives him time to check out the fibroids I guess) then if I conceive after three months I'll get another christmas baby, but if I wait then it will be the due ddate of my first mc.
I guess I just don't know what to do I was confidently going fine take a 4/5 month break but now my periods here all that seems to go out the window.

Congratulations Kasha!
and a happy and fertile new year to us all!

That is really good news - well done! It was obviously meant to be! No ways would a strong line be left over from m/c so it is def a new pregnancy. I guess it is just going to be difficult to date the pg - but then seeing as you seem to know by your chart when you ovulated then prob you can guestimate a date?

I do hope it all goes well for you xx

kate2179 · 04/01/2008 22:43

Yippppppeeeeeee Kasha fantastic news !!!!!

That all sounds really positive, especially as the lines were so dark and appeared so quickly. Don't worry about conceiving so quickly after mc, we decided to wait for a normal af after erpc and also because of waiting for blood test results (had them since, all fine). So we didn't ttc last month even though I'm positive I ovulated, and now this month when we've been trying, temp and lack of EWCM says I haven't ovulated... so what I really mean is that I wish we'd tried when we had the chance last month! Will be keeping everything crossed for you! xx

KashaSarrasin · 04/01/2008 20:29

Still can't believe it, even after 4 tests. Once I had the little pot of wee sitting there I got a bit carried away with the testing!

sfxmum · 04/01/2008 18:21

Kasha fingers crossed now it all goes well

KashaSarrasin · 04/01/2008 18:10

ClearBlue digital says BFP - result in less than 30 seconds.

Normal Clearblue says BFP - line showed up before the pee got as far as the control window.

Accessdiagnostics test strip says BFP. Have compared with the 10 or so strips I did with last m/c and line is stronger and darker than any of them (even the one I did at 7 weeks), as dark as the control line.

Poundland cheapo 3 for a £ says BFP.

Still shaking. DH is chuffed but I'm terrified. I'm guessing that with such strong +ves it can't possibly be left-over hormones from the m/c, unless something is seriously wrong...

I'll have to phone the GP tomorrow (are they even open Saturdays) and find out if clotting blood tests are back yet (hospital was supposed to be sending them on the 2nd).

Oh bloody hell!

sfxmum · 04/01/2008 17:20

I love that advert for clearblue digital
'the most advance piece of technology you will ever pee on' PMSL rather appropriately
best of luck Kasha

will nibble at cake but really must loose lard was looking quite matronly in all those Christmas photos[v. scared emoticon]
or maybe it is just my advancing years

Lilypink · 04/01/2008 17:17

Just thought as well Kasha - the spotting you mentioned on NY day - could be implantation??!! Timings seems about right for it to be that too. I have had implantation bleeding about the time af due

Lilypink · 04/01/2008 17:13

Good luck wth the testing Kasha, Have you got any symptoms - sore boobs etc?

Its a shame that having a m/c takes away all the excitement - I remember testing for my first pg it was such a brilliant time!
All my fingers and toes are crossed for you that whatever the result is will be the right one. Sweet that you dh is buying the test, don't reckon mine could do that!!

KashaSarrasin · 04/01/2008 16:56

lilypink ooh cake, don't mind if I help myself

Sorry about your driving test loveangel. DH took his three times before passing, and I haven't got around to taking mine at all yet!

sfxmum I know exactly what you mean about not feeling ready, I really wanted to get in tip top physical and emotional state before TTC again.

DH is on his way home with a ClearBlue Digital test. Really don't know what I'm feeling at the moment, I think I'll be disappointed if it turns out negative, but at the same time terrified if it's positive. Plus feeling a bit daft at having got into this situation in the first place, I'm definitely old enough to know better

Lilypink · 04/01/2008 16:30

Kasha - from what I have read, your chart looks like it may be worth a test. I think yor temp should have dipped a bit by now and stays elevated if pg?? But I am certainly no expert - although slowly getting there with each pg!!

Its nice to see that there are a few of us who are going for it again after m/c. I am on CD22 and usually have 30 day cycles but managed to convince myself from CM that my most fertile day was cd11 but I guess I was wildly out!

Oh I do hope we start having some good luck xx

ps as a welcome I have some scrummy chocolate refridgerator cake which is here on a plate for you all to help yourself x

sfxmum · 04/01/2008 16:22

yes I would feel the same loveangel it is not on medical advice but very much how I feel, I could do with loosing a few pounds, post Christmas too.am actually feeling better than I though I would iyswim

like you say all positive things this year onwards and upwards
