My dh thinks I'm mad but hey don't they all

Hi - sorry not to have come back.

well, we called the epu at a diff hosp (the one i plan to have baby in actually, rather than the one thr gp automatically sends you to) and they said go to a and e.

the a and e was fabulous. so efficient. whipped me up to epu.. internal (ugh), scan......
11 week baby WITH heartbeat. Was sure it was over when baby looked still, but then they showed heartbeat, and then prodded and woke baby up. what a relief.
no idea why the bleed. was just a few wipes worth then a bit of pink on panty liner, but it panicked me.......... they said poss to do with placenta kicking in? TJUICE - what you said about blood vessesls is actually reassuring
they said is good sign to see heartbest at this stage.

hope i don't have repeat performance.....

thanks for all your concern, and sorry i came on with such a panicked message.

KashaSarrasin · 11/01/2008 23:43

Bleeding seems to have stopped for now, still feeling sick and boobs still sore (although I'm paranoid I'm less nauseous and sore than yesterday...) Tjuice I like the blood vessel theory, I do feel like I've developed a bump in the last few days so maybe that's why (I can live in hope, anyway. I hope you don't get any more spotting. Lily - I'm not sure on dates as we weren't actually TTC until after I'd had a normal AF, going by Fertility Friend I should be 6+3 on Wednesday but I'm not convinced by their calculated O day.

emmsy1 hope you get a BFP soon!

Emmsy1 · 11/01/2008 23:26

sorry to see that theres alot of new names that have had to join this thread!
ALBS I hope you are ok hun, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! xxx
Lilypink congratulations and lots of luck to you!
I dont appear to have 'O' this month so I'm just waiting for AF to come now. Not sure if it will actually come this month, may have to wait until I get an 'O' before the next Af? It's the first time since temping that I haven't 'O' so really sure that time is running out for me! I am going to TTC for a couple of months and if I dont get a + soon, I am throwing in the towel, I'm due back at work next june after a career break and I really need to go back then because 'finances'dictate it!

TJuice · 11/01/2008 22:57

hi ladies

so sorry for albs and kasha. i had the tiniest bit of brown yesterday and went to my gynae today. she said again that when the womb grows, blood vessels can burst and that may be what you are seeing. so please try not to worry. my fingers are crossed.

lily! congratulations! that is fab news. we all these are scary weeks but the odds are always in your favour. i think this is a great space to let off steam during the tense part. but its really cool and i hope you are as chuffed as i was (and still am).

i told my work today, and my boss was very nice. but now i await to hear what maternity package they offer (i am the first women to be pg in a mainly male ad agency).

cricri · 11/01/2008 21:55

Hello everybody, especially to molliemooma and flumpytigger. So sorry you had to join us but you'll find lots of support here.
ALBS how are you doing? Fingers crossed for you.
Kasha Fingers crossed for you too - any more bleeding?
Lilypink congratulations! Hope this one is a sticky one!
Lcy good to see you! How have things been since your scan? I've missed you, Sweetkitty and Jules but I do occasionally lurk on the Knickerwatchers thread (I live in hope of joining you all!) to find out how you're all doing.

Lilypink · 11/01/2008 21:12

Kasha how worrying for you - are you feeling pg though? Sore boobs, sickness etc? Hope you are as that will be a really good sign for you. Wednesday is going to seem a long wait for you. How many weeks will you be then?

KashaSarrasin · 11/01/2008 21:00

Hi everyone

molliemooma and flumpytigger sorry you are here, but you've come to the right place for great support!

lilypink that's great news! I hope everything goes well for you this time. Being pg after mc is terrifying, I think you just have to take it one day at a time

soamipregnant lily's right about the numbers doubling, I hope it works out OK for you.

Well, I just had another red bleed , bizarrely at exactly the same time as yesterday's, right at DS's bedtime. Just a few wipes, and mostly mucous, but definitely red not brown. I'm trying to convince myself it was dark red rather than bright red, but it's really messing with my head, especially as I can't get even a private scan until Wednesday! I don't think EPU would be any quicker (even if I could face it), I've always had to wait at least 5 days for an appointment in the past and have to go via GP so can't do that now until Monday. Arghh - why does my body have to do this to me!!! Actually, this pg so far is very similar to DS's, with regard to spotting, except that then I was blissfully ignorant of everything m/c related and didn't even realise I was pg until 6 weeks, so it was a lot less stressful.

Lilypink · 11/01/2008 20:38

SOAMI Its not actually the number they are interested in it's whether it doubles in 48 hours. So I presume they have asked you to come back for a futher blood test? For example at my last m/c at about 8 weeks I had a figure of 9,000 but as it was only 12,000 the next test although high it did not mean a viable pg as was not doubling. So you may actually be fine!

ALBS I tink you just have to be a bit pushy, I have heard of loads of women who go to A &E for a scan when they see a littlebit of blood, you cant wait all weekend not knowing whats going on.

Well, I think I have good news I got a BFP this morning! I had thought af was on her way cos I spotted for 4 days, but it stopped suddenly and my boobs felt a little tender so tested.

But obviously I am terrified as with 2 m/c I spotted for a while but with DD I literaly spotted once.

And as I have tested so bloody early (guestimate 3Wks 5days)its gonna be a long 12 weeks - if I make it that far..

soamipregnant · 11/01/2008 17:21

Hi ladies I am sorry butting in but I need advice (you might have seen me on the other thread) I am six weeks n 1 day preg and have been bleeding on off lighly only a little here ad there red and brown not alot but consistent.......

preg tests still positive.....

had scan they couldnt see anything bar thickened womb....

slight brownish on paper when i wipe but I still feel pregnant.....

she said my bloods today were 417 but wouldnt say if this was good or bad does anyone know if for 6 weeks this is ok or very low she would not hint atall only said they were keeping a close eye on me in case it was ectopic and i have to return for bloods on sun am....

any advice re whether 417 is good??????? I havent a clue.....

also is slight cramping and the odd twinge on left hand side normal please advice

OracleInaCoracle · 11/01/2008 17:20

aw lcy, tthanks its lovely to see you!

Lcy · 11/01/2008 17:12

Alittlebitshy - so sorry you are bleeding remember not all bleeding means mc. Your doctor is crap - I hope you have gone to A&E or could you speak to your midwife? Will be thinking of you tonight x

KashaSarrasin - sorry you are still spotting it is so stressful. Just so you know i also spotted for first 2 weeks and had 2 big red bleeds. I am also avoiding EPU at all costs - private scans are worth the money!

MollieMooma - so sorry you about your mc! I totally understand how you are feeling. I had a missed miscarriage and found out the baby had died at 6 weeks when i was 11 weeks. I just felt like my body was useless - try not to blame yourself your body did everything it could to look after the baby x

Lissie - Glad you are finally under the care of LWH. Poor you having so much blood taken - drink lots of fluids and some cake is probably important too. I know this is the start of something good for you x

Flumpytigger - sorry to see you on here too. My second period after mmc was 6 weeks. But the next month everything settled i ovulated on day 14 and got pregnant. Or if you are having sex could you be pregnant?

Hello everyone else - hope you dont mind me still lurking. I miss you all x

KashaSarrasin · 11/01/2008 16:41

alittlebitshy I hope the bleeding's stopped and you've managed to sort out a scan. Fingers crossed everything turns out OK for you!

aquababe · 11/01/2008 15:06

albs

go to a and e please, but go now they often have access to people that epu don't.
last time I stupidly waited till mt hubby had come home and they'd gone home for the day.

really really hope it's totally nothing

sorry to those who've had to join us.

cece that must be soo frustrating about results as if losing Hope wasn't bad enough.

shit not a 3rd time oh no oh no oh no

Flumpytigger · 11/01/2008 10:10

Hi,
I have been lurking for a while and just wondered if I could come and join you.

We lost our beautiful son Harry on 7th February 2007 at 25 weeks and then I had a mmc in mid October.
I'm feeling pretty useless coming up to the one year anniversary of his death and I had hoped that I'd be pregnant again by now, so we would at least have something to focus on.

Just feel so empty. This isn't helped by the fact that I thought I had a normal af 4 weeks after mmc bleed but I am now on cd83 - no af since the last one!
Where does this leave ttc? Has anyone else experienced such a massive gap between af since mc? Should I be worried?

I'm so sorry to those of you who have been through or are going through a difficult time at the moment. Love and hugs to you all.

xx

OracleInaCoracle · 11/01/2008 09:26

hi, first i'm sorry to all the ladies who've had to join us. im so sorry you are here and that youve lost your babies, cece: i remember you xx

im sorry if this is insensitive but i had my appt with LWH yesterday and they took gallons of blood. we have to go back on the 31st for the results (will rush them through) and for a bone density scan. will almost certainly need thinning injections and very frequent scans next pg but she seemed very confident that they can help us and on the 31st we will see the man himself (he's on hols for a month after, and he wants to see us himself) she has also done a pg test. (af has gone awol) which we get the results for today but think af has started now. i gave her my stats ands i just thought "should we give up?"ive been pg 8 times in 3y! still im lucky enough to have ds i suppose...

MollieMooma · 11/01/2008 09:17

Hi Girls
I wonder if I can join you? Had 2nd internal scan yesterday where they confirmed the baby stopped growing at 5 wks (I should be 9+5) got to have 3rd scan next week but just hospital policy and then make a decision as to whether I let things happen naturally, or medically managed. Really confused by the whole thing and today feel really angry with my body. Basically the baby died the week I found out I was pregnant, so the whole time it was all fake and my body let me believe I was pregnant (and still is as I still have symptoms) and it was all a lie. How can I believe my body if and when I fall pregnant again? Also can't believe I'm returning to work Monday and have to act normal, even though I'm carrying this dead baby around in me. Not coping at all today sorry if I've waffled needed to get this off my chest

kate2179 · 10/01/2008 23:45

Kasha stay as long as you like! Hope the scan gives you the reassurance you need, and really really hope everything goes smoothly for you this time, as you said, a bit of spotting is not necessarily a bad sign. Will keep everything crossed for you

{{{hugs}}} splishsplosh hope you're ok xx
