Hi there everyone. There's so much going on on this thread. It is reassuring that although there's some bad news, there's also good news and so much support. Whoever thought up MN should be given a sainthood. It's certainly saved my sanity on a number of occassions.

Lcy - how you feeling? Hope you can get some time to have some peace and quiet and let yourself rest (mentally and physically).

Aqua - I've got prbs with my cervix (have to have a stitch in it for each pg) and I know that if it's closed that's a v good sign. Fingers crossed for you.

Coolkat - agree with everyone else. Take time off and don't struggle back before you are ready. I think the emotional issues that surrond mc take time to show themseleves and you need to be as strong as poss to deal with them.

Fingers crossed for all of you waiting to test. Am sending pink and blue sparkly baby dust your way.

Things quiet here today. DD2 off to nursery this arvo so got an hour to myslef to run and do christmas shopping before picking up DD1 from school and taking her off to tennis in wet, cold, dark park. Brrrr. Only high point is big fat hot choc that I drink to keep warm .

Still not got AF. 31 days post ERPC. Had sex on sunday night without protection (desire took away all rational thought ). No idea where I am in my cycle. Guess I'll have to wait and see what happens..... Although did seem to have EWCM on Sat and Sun, but seem to have had this on and off for weeks???

What does 2ww mean?

popsy76 · 04/12/2007 11:29

Hi everyone
Good luck ALBS you'll be fine - was thinking about you yesterday and how chuffed I am for you!

Hi Lcy hope everything goes okay for you - your cycles sound like mine - 36-40 days - and temps (which i stopped doing this month as wakes me up early and gets me even more stressed) show OV day 22 ish this one has been weird - have given up trying to predict anything cos doing it at the right time doesn't seem to work - and I am much happier now not dragging poor DH to bed when I think we should be doing it - so unromantic and totally not sexy - let us know how you get on! I think I have had a couple of very early MCs over the year - one before my PG in December 06 as I bled a week earlier than if was AF and had weird cramps beforehand and one in June - not testing anymore cos i reckon just makes you more stressed - I'll soon know if anything sticks

have a good day everyone

alittlebitshy · 04/12/2007 10:15

oh Lcy
Hope you're holding up ok. I can imagine the feeling in the pit of your stomach.

I'm off to GP this morning. Simply to tell her that I'm pg and nervous as hell, and to mention my slight worry about dates.

Lcy · 04/12/2007 09:20

Hi - bleeding has stopped. I guess it is a waiting game now to see if AF arrives. I am hesitant to go to the doctor so early so think i will give it a few days. Such a nightmare - feeling so crap because body just doesnt seem to be able to grow babies

Hope everyone else is ok.

sfxmum · 04/12/2007 09:09

hi Kasha - i have similar issues but am trying to avoid the drugs route, my major struggle is to keep weight under control thereby reducing PCOS symptoms.but it is quite hard to do when I feel low.
winter is hard and finding daylight hrs to exercise even harder.

hope everyone ok

Lcy how are you?

KashaSarrasin · 03/12/2007 23:34

Hi everyone

Haven't posted for a few days and the thread's been really busy! So so sorry for those who have had to join but this is a great place to get support.

coolkat take as much time off work as you need - I took a week off but still feel much less than 100% now (2.5 weeks after ERPC).

Lcy I hope it's just implantation bleeding - I had this with DS and everything was fine.

aquababe hope the bleeding's stopped. Cervix being closed sounds good, I hope the blood results come back OK.

Twilightsurfer fingers crossed for a BFP! When are you going to test?

I've made a GP appointment for Wednesday. I'm hoping to get more information - although I've "only" had 2 m/cs I was diagnosed with PCOS before conceiving DS. I'm hoping that the GP will agree to some hormone testing or even Metformin rather than risking a 3rd m/c. I don't really know my GP (only moved here in Feb) so not sure how helpful he's going to be...

TwilightSurfer · 03/12/2007 23:30

Okay I REALLY thought that once I posted my question AF would arrive...... OMG wouldn't that be an amazing Christmas surprise.

kate2179 · 03/12/2007 23:12

Twilight, I'm sure there was someone on here recently who is pregnant (and everything fine) having conceived 2 weeks after mc with no af in between....so definitely possible! how long do you think you can hold out before testing?!?! Good luck!

Anybody here know anyone who's conceived two weeks after they miscarried?? I'm about four days away from breaking down and testing because "things" just seem positive for me. Now I'm probably making this all up in my head and if that's the case, typing it will cause AF. BUT...give me your thoughts please:
Last of pregnancy parts pasted 11NOV.
BDed 2 weeks later on 25NOV after 2 days of EWCM. I've not been temping this whole cycle (if you can call this a cycle) but my temps have been consistently up the past four days. I'd only be MAYBE 9DPO so too early to test really. But do you think I could be?

iliketotrickortreat · 03/12/2007 22:00

hi all,

still here and lurking just keeping a low profile for my own sanity iyswim...

everythings going good, keep testing every couple of days just to be on the safe side and for my own piece of mind and those lines are getting darker everytime

unfortunatly i've exchanged the battered sausages for veggie burgers but i dont think it matters what it is i'll eat it! I'm constantly hungry I'm going to have put on 20 stone by the time this babys born!

Lcy · 03/12/2007 21:17

Unfortunately it is alot of bright red blood.

sweetkitty · 03/12/2007 21:03

oh Lcy is it a lot of blood could be an implantation bleed

Lcy · 03/12/2007 20:51

Just started bleeding - that has to be the shortest pregnancy in history - LIFE OFFICIALLY SUCKS!!!!!

sfxmum · 03/12/2007 19:40

fantastic news Lcy congratulations

Lcy · 03/12/2007 19:18

Bizarre really - i have been having 6 week cycles since mc so peed on an ovulation test this morning thinking CD28 this is when i should be ovulating. I thought the test looked funny and when i checked i had picked up a pregnancy test by mistake (access diagnostics ovulation and preg tests are both in purple packets). Anyway there was a faint line and coulnt work out if it was evaporation - so i got a proper test this pm and BFP!

Strangely - i was so upset about crazy cycles that i kind of gave up this month and we only had sex twice (which happened to be day 13 and 14).

Sweetkitty - i am knicker checking already!

aquababe · 03/12/2007 19:12

ok so just got back from hospital
lovely on call gynie who explained things clearly my dh understands it all. I'm nearly there (heads very fuzzy)
seems cervix is still closed so there's still a chance. he didn't seem to think I'd bleed excessively (sp?) so that was positive Couldn't explain pains, but said it was possible to experience pains and still go on to have healthy pregnancy. taken bloods so got to go back on wednesday so as long as nothings been encouraged, I should know whats happening after then.

truth is still not very positive. going to stay at mumns house so I can get rest and have someone there should the worst happen

big congrats lcy

Lcy - brilliant news congratulations now you can come over and be an obsessive knicker checker

teehee - I'm sure everyone on here has their moments, before I had the mc I would have never believed it could affect me the way it did, it was such a shock, keep visiting even if it's just to write down your thoughts it really helped me

grinningbee - hope the CBFM works for you I have heard they are really good

alittlebitshy · 03/12/2007 19:05

congrats LCY.
was af late or did you do a sneaky test???
yay!!!

Lcy · 03/12/2007 19:02

Sorry teeheelaydee i also wanted to say that although everyone on here seems strong we all had our moments - i have them regularly (poor Dh regularly gets the brunt of my hysterical crying). Enjoy doing your Christmas things x

Lcy · 03/12/2007 18:59

Hi everyone

Coolkat- sorry about your mc - i miscarried in August and had two weeks off work and would recommend time off for physical and emotional health!

Sorry that you are having such a hard time Aqua and for the others who are bleeding/spotting.

I hope this isnt insensitive but i have some news and have wanted to post all day - i found out this morning i have a BFP - I am now feeling completely freaked out!

Lcy

teeheelaydee · 03/12/2007 17:47

coolkat sorry you have had to join us and any other new additions that I've missed. You will find lots of support here.
As far as work is concerned take as long as you need. Everyone is different and try not to worry about what people think, they don't matter at the moment - you do. Be selfish for once, is my advice.

Haven't posted for a few days as I have been feeling rubbish. I keep asking myself when I am going to start feeling better. Everyone here seems so strong. I am in awe as the last few days I have been really weepy. I am putting it down to AF - it has just made me feel so unpregnant iykwim. Am on holiday from work this week so am going to take it easy and do a few christmas things.

Finally caught up on thread and it seems I am not the only one who feels like a loon. Thinking of the knicker checking corner of the room.

ronshar · 03/12/2007 17:02

Coolkat dont ever worry about what you say here. The more the merrier.

Why are hospitals all so very crap when it comes to MC. I am currently tracking down the MC policy with DoH. I am also writting to my local MP. He is Tory and fab. Saving our local hospital as we speak!!
