Hope the titles ok

OK so I have a reasonably positive start to the new thread.
What I thought to be AF turned out to be a bad case of theruns
And so when I poas'ed last night I actually got a BFP

Very nervous about it, but happy too. I actually went to the place(shopping centre) I got the positive with my dd for good luck
My dh thinks I'm mad but hey don't they all
now if I can just get past the nine week stage without going insane

ALBS glad your finally able to admit your pregnant

Lissie glad your getting that referal at last
ilts sorry it didn't happen this time

kasha so sorry about your experience, is that your regular GP? I would put in a written complaint. don't don't about private but will ask as know someone who used one.

it is awful, am complaining about my hospital, nothing to do with NHS shortages just plain careless people displaying inexcusable behaviour

georgiegirl think not that far from you, near the end of another branch of District line

KashaSarrasin · 05/12/2007 09:53

Grrrr.... Just back from appointment with the most useless GP I've ever seen! He was completely dismissive, I managed to get him to refer me to the Gyne dept at the hospital but he doesn't think they'll see me, and even if they do it won't be for months. He made loads of excuses about the NHS (while grinning the entire time even though I was in floods of tears) then practically pushed me out of the door, I was in there less than five minutes I'm so upset

Does anyone know how to find a private gynecologist and how much it costs? I hate the idea of going private but it's clear I'm not going to get much support from my GP. So fed up and despondent, really not sure what to do now

Good morning everyone anyway.

Verso so sorry about your m/c, this is a great place for support though - welcome.

Aquababe hope your bloods results give good news today. I've got my fingers crossed for you.

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 05/12/2007 09:26

Morning. Wet, rainy and cold here today .

Can I just, aaaarrgghhhh, because what i thought was AF arriving last night wasn't. Just little bit of blood that has now stopped. Am v v v v paranoid now that it was implantation bleed from unprotected sex on Sunday. Haven't a clue where I am in my cycle. 32ish days after ERPC. I can't be pg can I? Really really really not ready. Didn't someone say that it took 53 days for AF to return after m/c? Guess i should just chill out because AF will never turn up if stressed. AAARRGGHHHH .

Hi Verso - am newbie too. Great bunch of here that a re v supportive when you decide to join. I lurked for a month or so after my ERPC (2nd Nov). Hugs to you.

Cricri - Did gymnatics for 8+ year (4 - 12) and then trampolining right through til uni.... fab way to meet the fella's . Quick straddle jump and back sommersault is enough to get you noticed .

Morning to everyone else. Hope things are OK, bearable and not too frantically-knicker-checking-ly-awful in your neck of the woods. Peaceful vibes going out to everyone today.

sfxmum · 05/12/2007 09:10

hi Verso hug to you, I am not ready to ttc yet either, still bleeding and all this has not really hit me yet.
still I rather hang around people who will understand all my wobbles.

aquababe thinking of you.

someone mentioned trampoline and climbing sounds fab. I like to do things on my own like running, hope to find motivation to go out at the weekend.

hope everyone ok today, rubbish weather, my toddler has a nasty cold seems like indoors day today

EllieG · 05/12/2007 09:05

(((((hugs))))) to verso and aquababe
thinking of both of you x

Verso · 05/12/2007 07:45

Not ready to join in here yet (found out about 2nd missed m/c yday - D&C on Friday) but sfxmum mentioned the thread so I thought I'd come over and wave. Don't think I'll start TTC again until I've seen the consultant - which they said might be up to six months (unless I pay for a private appt). It's good to see so many of you pg after m/c.

Still v v v wobbly. Good luck to all of you who are pg.

aquababe · 04/12/2007 23:40

ALBS - good news about scan date keeping everything crossed for you, don't you just wish you could sleep for the next few weeks and wake up at 12 weeks I do?

cricri - which opks are you using? You are rght sometimes they don't pick the surge up or miss it, regular BDing is teh way to go nad good to see you btw

nh101 - glad to see you 15 weeks already well done

Lcy - sorry to hear about the bleeding sorry to say it sounds to me like a chemical pregnancy (I had one as well and in some ways easier to deal with than a mc) look after yourself x

Georgie - waves hello trampolining wow all my flab would bounce up and knock me out!

jules - great news about the scan, am keeping so much crossed this is the one for you, keep brave x

hello to anyone else I have missed out, am completely shattered so off to bed now xxx

Lcy · 04/12/2007 18:07

Thanks Cricri - how are you doing - i did some OPKs this month and did not get a positive once - but obviously ovulated - so keep at it with DH regardless

Thanks alittlebitshy - glad you have a scan date

Knicker checking is getting ridiculous x

alittlebitshy · 04/12/2007 18:00

Love the pics (and the names) nh. Wow - you're 15 weeks!!!!!!!!!

Jules and Lcy - hoping there's no more bleeding for either of you.

went to Gp - she was really nice (she had her ear thingy out when i walked in cos i've been seeing her about a long running ear infection for weeks now... i told her that's next week's appointment lol) - and has given me a letter to go to EPAU and get a scan (mainly to check I am 5 weeks not 10)... I'm waitng til thurs when dh is back, so i don't have to park the car myself, but also so i don't have to go alone and also to give it a few extra days cos if i am only 5 weeks, each day gives a chance of seeing a heartbeat, i think........
ARGH - scared though.
Told her how scared I am.
she was lovely and said congrsts, and i said i don't want congrats, so she just crossed her fingers!

Am knicker checker extaordinaire!!!!!!!!!

cricri · 04/12/2007 17:35

Lcy Keeping my fingers crossed for you - I was delighted to read about your BFP last night! Really hope it works out.
Jules Great news about the heartbeat! Keep taking it easy - your DH sounds like mine, always busy cooking!
HTGG I did trampolining for years - it's excellent fun! Know what you mean about the pelvic floor muscles though, and I haven't even had a DC yet!
CD18 for me and still no on the OPK so not sure what's going on there. I know they don't work for everybody so am bd'ing regardless!
Hello to everybody I've missed - too much to catch up on!

nh101andhertwinbeans · 04/12/2007 17:29

Hi everyone else! I am now nearly 15 weeks PG. I really hope the baby dust settles for you all soon. I have been off work most of last month through sickness and holidays so haven't been on MN for a while.

Check out the pics on my profile.

nh101andhertwinbeans · 04/12/2007 17:23

POPSY!!!!!!!!!!

Mate I have missed you! Been off MN myself for a month or so but yes I am having twins! Sorry you are feeling down - I completely understand. I think I was close to breakdown . I am so so so praying it happens for you.

Get yourself off to the gynae who did your D&C (go private if necessary). This is what I did when my cycles were long and he said an egg released so far into my cycle may not be viable. He gave me Clomid (hence the twins). It worked first month. I think cos he'd seen me before he was happy to give me Clomid after just one appointment (which cost about £100 - it was covered by my insurance). He said there was obviously nothing wrong with my tubes as I'd been PG before so he just let me have the magic pills. Getting PG straight after coming off the pill is common in people with OV problems (I think you got PG straight after coming off the pill like me didn't you?). So maybe Clomid will work for you. Don't wait any longer, it doesn't have t cost a fortune to go private.

xxxxxxxx

Lcy · 04/12/2007 17:04

Hi Jules - crossed posts - so glad all is well with you - despite the stress. I am also sitting on the sofa eating chocolate

Lcy · 04/12/2007 16:59

Hi TJuice - thanks i will try and stay positive. I have had no more bleeding today - will just have to wait and see. I am quite realistic that alot of people mc this early on - i just hope if it does go wrong it happens earlier rather than later.

Hello to everyone else

Jules that is really lovely

TJuice · 04/12/2007 16:33

lcy! my heart just leaped when i read about your bfp. I am totally contorted crossing everything for you that this was just an implantation bleed and that you and nugget are ok.

don't feel negative about your body's abilities to make a grow a baby - it ain't over til its over and at this point you have no reason to think that at all love. the stats are totally in your favour and you just have to chill and stay positive.
i know this is all pointless really - because its a horrid feeling but only a few days after my bfp - i had that horrible searing cramps and brown-pinkiness. i think it must have been implantation. it was too early to do much and i had to wait the weekend to get hcg results. i think i ran through the gamut of emotions but in the end, felt sort of determined/decided that I will try and think/hope/feel for the best outcome and not let my mind keep returning to the thought that this may be my 2nd mc and what was wrong with me etc etc.
big hugs xxx

aquababe - hope things will work out. so stressful, really feeling for you right now.

coolkat - sorry you had to join us. hope you are doing ok.

jules - fantastic. I am so pleased for you. its great seeing that heartbeat, isn't it?

i am still having a mad time at work and am shattered. also having my stretchy womb pains a lot, so hope that i am about to experience a growth spurt or something. am officially addicted to scans and this is my cold turkey week . . .its horrid.

hi to everyone else

xxx

EllieG · 04/12/2007 16:30

KashaSarrasin · 04/12/2007 16:08

Jules! A heartbeat!!! That's fantastic news! I hope the bleeding settles down, enjoy the toblerone .

htgg 2ww = 2 week wait (between O and AF/BFP). We're also hoping to see The Golden Compass this week, if one of our friends can have DS for a few hours - it will be the first time we've been to the cinema since he was born (he's 2.6) !

coolkat · 04/12/2007 16:06

Oh Jules that is great, keeping everything crossed for you. You must take it easy now though.
