Grrrrr phonecall from friend who's recently had her 2nd, both children conceived after about 1week ttc, telling me I need to relax and stop over analysing things and thinking about it generally. Oh, great, I'll just do that then shall I, why didn't I think of that?!?!
Am I bad person?

alittlebitshy · 06/12/2007 13:24

lots of hugs for aqua, lcy and jules.

hi to everyone else.

we had dd's school play this morning. It was her class (reception) combined with nursery, and was the cutest thing ever. She looked around really anxiously and couldn;t seem to find us (we were right in the cntre of the second row) and just had a big beam on her face when she saw us. .

Went to EPAU with letter from Gp. Was woman i saw when i m/c in march. Not keen on her at all. . anyhow, going on the assumption i was about 5 weeks she said it would be too early to scan so i have an app for next weds. Scared i won't make it that far - this week is my danger week . She just didn't get what I was saying about the test being positive early in my cycle so maybe last month's wasn't a proper af (it now sounds silly saying it, but i'm still baffled as to how i got bfp so early), so.... we'll see what scan shows next week. Hopefully.

nh101andhertwinbeans · 06/12/2007 13:00

Kasha I would definitely recommend going private - the appts are £100-ish each and I only needed one. As you have been PG before you may not need many. But then you might. It is worth having an initial consultation to find out what the costs might be and what the prognosis is.

It may be expensive but what price your sanity?

nh101andhertwinbeans · 06/12/2007 12:58

Popsy just read your post above - totally relate to everything you are saying. It has been the hardest year of my life too and I too cannot believe how it affected me. I know you're probably thinking 'what have you got to be sad about now' but even now when people get PG around me and fly through the first trimester without so much as a tummy cramp it makes me really mad. I think 'why did I have to go through what I went through when everyone else just gets PG and has a bloody baby!'

nh101andhertwinbeans · 06/12/2007 12:54

Hey Popsy! Glad to hear you're not obsessing too much about babies - that is the right way to go about it! I was thinking after my last post about my friend who had 40-day cycles. She went to a refexology/acupuncture person who got the cycle down to below 40 days the first month and 31 days the second - and by then she was PG!

(DH doesn't know his pic is on MN!)

Lcy · 06/12/2007 12:02

Thanks TJuice - seeing doctor at 2.00 so will let you know how it goes.

sweetkitty · 06/12/2007 11:58

hi lovely ladies

jules - I think anyone in your situation would be sick of everything, you have been through far too much already.

big hugs to anyone going through a mc right now I know theres a few

EllieG · 06/12/2007 11:28

Popsy - please keep your mental image of me as sylph-like (not that I was ever). It's the only place I am not ginormous. Went to aqua natal last night and felt like a manatee.

EllieG · 06/12/2007 11:25

((((hugs)))) to jules. Sorry you are having to worry so much.

TJuice · 06/12/2007 11:19

hi jules

bollox! it could still just be the heparin and your womb growing . . . big hugs, i know it must be awful but so far, all tests, visuals etc have been good so let's keep on trucking together

lcy - very best of luck with doctor today. hope he won't be rubbish. if there is a question mark about ectopic, I was thinking they would send you for a scan immediately? maybe you should go to to an A&E - better to see soon then risk and injury to your tubes or anything. don't know much about ectopic so may be talking rubbish . . .

sfxmum · 06/12/2007 10:57

Jules you are normal but this cr*p gets to you doesn't it? horribly unfair and painful but please don't start thinking of it as a personal failure - IT IS NOT
{{hug}}

merrylissiemas · 06/12/2007 10:55

oh jules. i wiosh i could take it away for you! when do you go back?

Lcy · 06/12/2007 10:53

BIG BIG HUGS TO YOU JULES - are you ok?

Lcy · 06/12/2007 10:50

Jules are you still about? I am going to the doctor today to check what is going on. Unfortunately i now have right side back and abdominal cramps so i wont to get checked out in case it is ectopic (oh joy ). My doctor is a usually crap so just wanted to check what he should be doing - i am assuming he should be atleast giving me a blood test. i am only 4.3 so i doubt they can scan me yet? Can anyone help?

sfxmum · 06/12/2007 10:29

jules that is great, am always so pleased when things are hopeful for someone, brings up the average

aqua thinking of you

popsy dh is actually quite good and helpful but very english with emotionbut last time when we found out at 12wk scan he cried in the room. this time he was looking after dd so not in the room with me and it was all more controlled.
his parents are ok, both medical people who would probably try to advise sensibly like last time.
but they have been talking about another grandchild for well over a year at every opportunity.

popsy76 · 06/12/2007 10:22

Hi SFXmum I had an MC late in March and we went to see his folks and mine at Easter - they all knew and that worked well with my folks as I told them i wasn't ready to discuss it so please don't ask but his mum told me all about the neighbours she had been discussing it with and that they had had MCs but that she hadn't (perfect womb woman ...ayhoo the long and the short of it is they'll get it wrong whatever you say cos what you are going through is totally devastating - I kind of hid away alot then poked my head out, got drunk, cried innapproopriately (too many letters . I can honestly say it has been the hardest year of my life - maybe even harder than losing my dad the year before - had no idea how life changing was going to be - and is particularly hard cos everyone just seems to be PG around you so there is no getting away from it
DH and I still discuss it now but to be honest he always gets it wrong too ha ha now he just agrees with me bless him!

good morning all, how is everyone today?

had long talk with dh last night, the first since 'it' happened and about what happened, quite helpful but difficult

he is not keen on telling his parents but we are spending Christmas with them and the subject of babies is bound to come up and honestly I am not sure how I would react, it is all still so raw

popsy76 · 06/12/2007 10:08

Hy Gilly glad you are getting used to the big smoke! Job is in same place but different area - although got totally trashed at xmas party last night so am sure they'll be withdrawing their offer today why can't I just have one or two drinks and keep my big gob shut?????
