Oh sugar, sorry Jules - just scrolled down and saw you have been having bleeding. Good to hear it does not = bad news though. Make sure you get lots of R&R xx

ladylush · 06/12/2007 23:15

CONGRATS TS

Back briefly to let you know that I asked for a thyroid function test a few weeks ago and found out I have high TSH levels (thyroid stimulating hormone) which carries greater risk of miscarriage and problems with conception. I started Thyroxine today and am hoping the levels will come down to an acceptable level very soon. Hopefully some light at the end of a long tunnel

Jules - hope all going well for you and beanie

TwilightSurfer · 06/12/2007 23:11

Never a dull moment around here is there.

littlewifey · 06/12/2007 22:55

Congratulations Twilight, that is wonderful news

teeheelaydee · 06/12/2007 22:53

So many posts to read spilshspolsh I was just catching up and thinking "blast I need pen and paper" when I read your post- I also am not that organised so will probabaly forget something big.

TS I had a feeling you would get a BFP.

jules You seem a bit more positve this evening. I was just thinking of asking what wonderful concoction your DP had made you and you provide the info - I swear there are strange brainwaves online tonight.
lcy You also sound loads better today, sounds like you were pleasantly suprised by the care you got today - make sure you demand it from now on (teehee becomes all big pants mc avenger like for a moment.)
popsy What is ANTM ?
kate Your latest winner in the insensitive comment Oscars did make me smile but only after I had done this several times.

Like I said lots to catch up on - we are an animated bunch tonight.
Hello to everyone else.

aqua will be thinking of you tomorrow.

TwilightSurfer · 06/12/2007 22:08

Thanks for all the congrats. I'm holding tight to them. This thread has been a lifeline for me this month. TWENTY-EIGHT days ago I MCed. Now here I go again, with a different outcome I hope. Had bloodwork moments ago for HCG and Progesterone levels. The results will be in Monday. Until then I'll just try and relax.

aquababe · 06/12/2007 21:54

hey people
feel strange like it's still not real.
got a scan booked for tomorrow going to go so I can get checked out.
thanks to everyone whose thinking about me. it does help to know you guys are all here for support.

jules wow that doesn't sound great bed rest for nearly nine months, still if thats what it takes.
If it is this subchorionic hemorrhages then hopefully it re-absorbs soon

lovelylou congratulations on scan

twilight congratulations on bfp

Add to that soon to be clomid-induced...

After Image, Blurred Vision, Depression, Diplopia, Dizziness, Drug-Induced Hepatitis, Fatigue, Gynecomastia, Insomnia, Jaundice, Mastalgia, Menorrhagia, Metrorrhagia, Nausea, Nervousness, Photophobia, Scotomata, Thromboembolic Disorder, Vomiting....

I'd be worried if only I knew what they meant....

popsy76 · 06/12/2007 21:47

Fck jules* am now totally obsessed with eMedicine - am staying up cos DH out gtting ratted and my turn to pick him up - by the time he calls I'm gonna have no end of medical issues (starting with snake headitis and RSI :-))

splishstr you reminded e of my MILs corker... "I know this sounds funny but I think your dad and I have got PND" ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?

so much to catch up on, i feel like I need to sit here with pen and paper, making notes on all the things I want to say to you all as I read through, but I'm not that organised? Mad? and my memory is awful these days.

Aqua - I'm so sorry for what you're going through again, it's so unfair

Jules - wow, this must be so stressful and worrying for you having all this bleeding. I really hope everything settles down soon, and your lo flourishes

TS - congratulations!

Ellie - great to hear that your baby is well and active and interacting, it must be so exciting for you

Lcy - so glad to hear things seem to be ok, and also nice to hear of someone getting good support from their gp

HTGG - I'm in Croydon. I went to Sutton High as my sister was at Nonsuch at the time, and I travelled with her. Odd logic, but there you go!

I only had the 1 insensitive comment (I'm not counting the dozens from dp, as I've given up expecting better!)
His mum said next time we shouldn't tell her so early, so she wouldn't get upset if anything went wrong again!

I still haven't gone back to the gym, and I don't think marching around pushing a buggy is enough to counteract the appalling amount of food I keep scoffing.... mmm, that reminds me of the tempting treacle tart languishing in my fridge, needing eating up. It would be awful to have to throw it out as past it's eat by date....

popsy76 · 06/12/2007 21:26

If anyone cando it Jules you can

popsy76 · 06/12/2007 21:25

ooh ALBS get you all preggars and nautious yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

Jules if anyone deserves this you do - the sheer will of all of us mad as snake MNutters rooting for you is enough to short circuit the laptop I am sending strong sticky vibes
hope you don't have a subchorionic abruption but you are right could explain the bleeding - cue pops hunting down more info online when she tells her students is not a sound source of info

Off to look up Clomid obsessively online ...permission to daydream about big tummies, gone off meat sickness and bouncing boobs (mine stayed for a few months but are smaller than ever now )

God can't believe that was ever me - so bizaRRE! OOPS CAPS LOCK NOT SHOUTING SORRY

lovelylou · 06/12/2007 21:22

Hi ladies, just wanted to let you know that scan was fine. Looked like a little peanut and it had a heartbeat. So relieved. Now just have to worry and wait for scan at eleven weeks x

alittlebitshy · 06/12/2007 21:05

that sounds not v nice Jules. Has someone said that or are you being dr Jules ??

Jules - send your dp round to cook for me. I had to do sandwiches for me and dd for dinner cos i couldn't face cooking food that might smell. ugh.

Lcy · 06/12/2007 20:57

I'm off to bed now - i hope you are ok x

Lcy · 06/12/2007 20:56

Evening ladies sitting on sofa with my fur baby watching ANTM with a bowl of crisps and a chocolate mousse to follow BLISS
I really look forward to reading the posts - some make me laugh out loud, others make me cry - . I hate the fact that we all have to be here - so much pain and suffering!

For anyone new to the MC game I can sa things do get better but I am now ping my pants at thought of getting PG again (i should be so lucky) and at thought of going into that scan room - I really think I would shatter into a million pieces if it happened again SFXMum your story really touced me as it took me back to that moment - i call it the sliding doors moment - when your lifechanges monumentally one way or the other and some faceless medic says "it doesn't look good I'm afraid ughhh even writing those words makes me feel ill

Hey nh I know what you have been through to get here and I can imagine it is really just another hurdle in a crappy year - but your pics are so fab and you are going to be super duper mum!

We should start a wall of shame for all of the insensitive comments we have endured - am sure most of them will come from MILs or maybe DH buying me Tena pads by mistake after the ERPC (never let him forget that one - gotta see the funny side eh?)

gilly I had the tests and scans back in the summer - might go see doc after xmas - will have started new job, had a boozy xmas and been on fab hols so a new start to the new year (I am scared in case it works and in case it doesn't work IYKWIM?)

Jules how are you doing?
acqua hope you're okay?
Congratumalations twighlightmummytobe

lady with long cycles (forgotten your name but don't want to go back a page cos I'll lose this message) nh101 had relly really long cycles after MC but went on clomid and got PG first time...there is hope

kate2179 · 06/12/2007 19:00

LoveAngel that totally makes sense. Girl I work with is due 3 days before I would have been and right now I hate her. Of course I'm happy for her, and their baby wouldn't be our baby IYSWIM, but really tough even so...

On the subject of people saying insensitive things, forgot to mention the worst one I've had which (I think) is so awful I hope it may make you all smile. Told a "friend" that my boobs which were pretty tiny before I got pregnant haven't returned to their normal size post mc, she told me to look on the bright side, how lucky I am to have had the benefit of being pregnant without having to ruin them by breastfeeding!!! Couldn't believe it - is it just me or is that totally astonishing?!?

SK I hadn't heard that theory before but I love it, totally gave me goose bumps, thank you. I hope it brings you some peace.

Keeping everything crossed for all the bfp-ers, really hoping to join you soon!
