Just poppin gmy head round the door to see how everyone is doing....quite envious of your meet up! Flosstot is 16 weeks today and all's well I think...she (I think it's a she) naturally sends lots of festive babydust [where's the icon for that??]

TJiuce- party sounds wicked, but know what you mean. did DHs last night and the other pg women all svelte and glamourous whereas I look like I've eaten a spacehopper. Oh, and still hungry all the time. Thought it would have slowed by now....you can quit lurking now, y'know!

Big smooches to ALBS and Jules...yay!!!

And festive hellos to all others....

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 13/12/2007 12:48

Hi ladies. Haven't been on for a while and missed a whole load of stuff. Hope I can remember everything and not put my foot in it by saying wrong thing....

Jules and ALBS - congrats. brill news that everything sticky where it should do. Sending sticky vibes to you both.

Kitty - How are you hon? Wish I was nearer so could come and take DD's off your hands for a while and you could go to EPU. Hopefully just a small bleed and everything OK now. Fingers crossed for you. Take it easy. CBeebies and sofa for you and DD's this arvo?

Aqua - how are you?

TJuice - as a SAHM I don't get a Christmas party so yours sound fun . Just make sure you take a camera to catch all those drunken party antics from your work colleagues. Hopefully your boss will try and photocopy his/her arse and you can use the pic as leverage for better bonus .

Lcy - Sofa and CBeebies for you as well! How's things today? Any change?

Sfxmum - LOVE giraffe, but we've got a Tootsies near us that has become our 2nd home . DD's better behaved than some kids in there but still make a mess. Ahem!

DH out tonight and Wagamama delivery sounds just the thing. Yum....

Hello to everyone else. Hope that you're all having a good day. Agree with Ronshar, positive vibes and hugs for everyone today.

Oh. Forgot to say that I think AF has arrived. Yay. About bloody time. Got HUGH hormonal bumps on chin, under nose and forhead. Look ridiculous. Need paper bag over head!

Christmaspartypoppers · 13/12/2007 12:46

Hey ladies, hope everyine is surving enjoying the cold and frosty weather - took AGES to get car out this morning and i always leave it till very last minute!
Hope all the ladies waiting for scans/info get the help and support they need (though don't count on the NHS!)
LOVE the sound of you xmas party TJ - off to DHs tonight - last year got toally wasted and made complete arse of myself - apparently they are all looking forwad to my speacial popsy entertainment tonight ughhh and

imdreamingofawhiteKITTYmas · 13/12/2007 12:13

Thanks ladies will phone EPAS in the morning and lie see if I can get a scan although it will probably be next week.

Jules - glad you are hanging on in there, every day is one less to that magic 12 weeks then you can relax a bit

Lcy - aww sorry you have had more bleeding, try and enjoy your weekend away though (easier said than done I know)

Tjuice - can I come to your works party? Sounds fab, When we had our works do I was about 8 weeks gone with DD1, it was a posh cheese and wine followed by non posh karaoke afterwards. It was a different wine and cheese a course and I was terrified people would notice I wasn't drinking but you know what after a few glasses they were too drunk to care. I sat with one glass all night kept sipping from it and also changed glasses a few times so it loked like I had had a few. Even got texts the next day asking how my head was

sfxmum - thanks

ronshar - thanks too thats what I keep thinking I CAN have babies, I had 2 huge bleeds with DD1 she was fine. It's hard though as even the site of the blood brings it all flooding back. I know you ladies unfortunately know what I mean.

Little bit more brown gunk this morning hope thats it now.

sfxmum · 13/12/2007 11:48

Morning everyone

I am going away for weekend - sadly had more bleeding this morning and period type cramps so not good news. I am just going to try and forget about it this weekend and will see what happens next week. I am only 5 weeks so dont wont medical intervention even if i do miscarriage.

Sweetkitty - i hope you are ok i am sure you are. Give those DD's big hugs x

TJuice glad all is going well x

Hope you all have a good weekend

sfxmum · 13/12/2007 09:19

and I love Wagamama mostly because it is a great place to take dd, that and the Giraffe is where we always end up when out as a family

sfxmum · 13/12/2007 09:17

Good morning all

SK - so glad to hear things seem hopeful. hope EPU are helpful particularly since you have to take dds.

Tjuice - what a fab party one can be happy about PG and down about the weight it is all one big emotional journey.

hope those going through MC are holding on and being looked after.

have not yet started feeling festive, barely bought any presents, but hey don't actually feel bad atm.

{{hugs}}hope everyone gets one

TJuice · 13/12/2007 09:07

kitty - i know it must be so horrible right now. i have had crampy periody type pains a few times too. apparently that can just be part of the growing pains too.
i know this is doing your head in, so i hope you can get a scan asap (and that you get no more red stuff at all)

i was at work until 11.30 last night! so i am shattered and am "working" from home. that means that i am sitting here in my pjs with my smudgy specs on and crack-head hair.

and i am dreading tomorrow which is our Xmas party. i have been part of organising it and usually would throw myself into it (champagne and chocolates and gift exchange, followed by private gospel singing lessons in church, followed by five course gourmet meal and paired wine menu, following by open party in our groovy basement with dj, tons of booze etc, with a sausage van turning up at the front of the office at 11pm for late snacks)

but a) i will look cack because i am tired, spotty and too puffy to fit into my party dresses b) I can't do justice to the wine, champagne and vodka-colas.

I can eat though . . . . but i am getting fed up with how skinny danish people are. everyone in my office is whippet-thin apart from size 14 me. (picture fatty sitting in corner, stuffing face with sausages in roll)

sorry, its a really lame thing to whinge about and i actually just really happy that the year is drawing to a close at work and i can start to get excited about being pg.

hope everyone has a fab day.
healthy and well, healthy and well

ronshar · 13/12/2007 09:07

Morning Kitty. How are you holding up? It is such a worry when you bleed. Try and take what the quack has told you as good advice. We all know what the alternative is but try very hard not to automatically think the worst. You have carried two very healthy beautiful DD's before so you can do it one more time.

I saw the thread yesterday. I still torture myself by looking at pregnancy after MC. Poor Cece. I can only imagine the pain that she is enduring today. All my thoughts are with her.
lcy Good news if boobs are sore
Tjuice Excellent they gave you a rise. You dont have to tell work here until you are 20 weeks and need a Mat cert. Is it the same in Denmark?
Jules How are you this morning? Did you have a scan yesterday or is it today?
Kasha How was your date? Hope you had a great night out.

Another cold day here but lovely and sunshiney, if that is indeed a word?
Hello to everyone this morning. I am feeling good and positive. We shall see how long it lasts

imdreamingofawhiteKITTYmas · 13/12/2007 07:45

Morning lovely ladies no bleeding overnight but have dull ache across my pubic bone TBH it feels like period pains DP has just left for work this morning and won't be back until 7pm tomorrow night double . Not feeling very positive today but have to get up and make an effort for the DDs.

Will see how much bleeding and/or pain I have today and will phone the EPAS tomorrow, no childcare so would have to take the DDs with me.

I hope everyone else has good stress free days.

Tjuice - wagamama in Glasgow lovely food they don't deliver out here though.

cece - sending you some thoughts of strength and support xxx

TJuice · 12/12/2007 22:05

kitty - sorry you are still bleeding. good plan to kick up a fuss. i like your doc's explanation of womb moving around though and its so likely too. hope it just disappears tonight . . .big hugs

lcy - wagamama is a asian food chain in london which has just come to copenhagen too- pretty nice. glad you are okay now.
there isn't much food delivery here either - only domino's pizza. well, there is a company who will pick up anything you like but its costs 15pounds for the service. its an expensive country . . . my boobs are a bit sore too but not as mahooosive as i was hoping they would be. still, plenty of time for that

kate2179 · 12/12/2007 21:46

So sorry you're having to go through all this Kitty, will your Doc do hcg's for you?
Healthy and well, healthy and well...

Lcy · 12/12/2007 21:45

TJUICE what is wagamama? I live in North Wales and there is no food delivery service here at all!

Lcy · 12/12/2007 21:43

Poor cece

Are you ok Sweetkitty? I am really sorry you are bleeding. Phone EPAS and ask for a scan if they say no go to A&E and they will probably organise one for you?

I am no longer bleeding - trying to forget about being pregnant but boobs are so bloody sore.

Congrats Jules and ALBS xx

I am of your meet up and champagne ronshar and popsy!

imdreamingofawhiteKITTYmas · 12/12/2007 20:25

Ordered in wagamama

I know what you mean it is bloody awful what is happening to cece

I had a bit of red bleeding again this evening and more brown, am scared shitless now. DP away tomorrow with works do if I am still bleeding on Friday will phone EPAS tell them I am rolling around the floor and they must scan me.

TJuice · 12/12/2007 19:27

hi ladies

i am still at work at 8.30, doing this bolloxy alzheimers project.
i only got a mini-raise but its okay . . . for now
and when i tell them i am up the duff they will probably be horrid to me anyway . . .

i am reeling from checking out the pg after mc thread (on which i lurk but don't post as i am chicken).
thoughts and prayers for cece . . .

hope everyone is doing okay this evening.
all this chocolate talk is making me hungry although we just ordered in wagamama. it was good but i am suddenly ravenous all the time . . . .

kate2179 · 12/12/2007 19:00

Yay ALBS and jules !!!! !!
But SK although glad GP was nice at least... My private scan was £50, there seem to be more and more places aroud who do them. A list of places in each county who are recommended by the Fetal Medicine Foundation is available on this page Good luck!

KashaSarrasin · 12/12/2007 14:55

Fantastic news ALBS and Jules!!! SK that's awful that they won't scan you . Is there any chance of you being able to get a private scan? The one I was booked for (but never got to go to in the end) was £70, so OK not cheap but maybe worth it rather than just stuck at home worrying?

Good afternoon to everyone else! I'm very excited as a friend is babysitting DS tonight so that me and DH can go to the cinema and then for a drink afterwards - oh the novelty!

imdreamingofawhiteKITTYmas · 12/12/2007 14:30

jules - great news what a little battler you have in there

ALBS - good news for you too

right me update - had a bit of brown gunk when I wiped this morning so phone EPAS at 9am. Got passed up to the maternity word and then passed over to someone else so had to tell my story 3 times. Anyway was told EPAS is booked solid so no scan appointments and that if it was old brown blood then it was probably OK and I would be having a scan in 2 weeks anyway. Was told to phone again if the bleeding went red and I started cramping.

Had to see my GP today anyway to tell him I was pregnant and to get booked in with the MWs. GP was lovely tried to be reassuring, even got his uterus and placenta pics out to tell me about the placenta sometimes lifts at this stage causing bleeding and that brown blood is old blood. Also told him that last time I only had brown blood yet I went on to mc so I don't believe the brown blood is OK thing. Anyway he told me not to worry and to go and enjoy Christmas! Receptionist that took my details said I wouldn't see a MW until 16 weeks but I don't think this is right as last time I was booked in to see a MW at 12 weeks.

So thats where I am at, sent home to worry and not to phone unless I start bleeding heavy or in pain.

Part of me is seriously thinking about faking some symptoms next week so I can have a scan but I think that would be tempting fate too much. DP says I have to put it to the back of my mind and try not to think about it.

Christmaspartypoppers · 12/12/2007 14:27

p.s. is popsy here in case you didn't get it - abit far fetched I know but some of us aren't blessed with festive sounding nicknames

Christmaspartypoppers · 12/12/2007 14:26

Hey ladies check out the new festive name ...all the others I could think of were rude or food-based (or a bit of both )

popsy76 · 12/12/2007 14:21

bring on Gloria Gaynor... all together now ladies..."First I was afraid, I was petrified....la la la la la

Wheelybahhumbug · 12/12/2007 14:21
