Find a private Doctor. Will be the same one you see NHS but you will get appointment in days/weeks.

gillystarrynight · 14/12/2007 13:34

hey, pops - I'm going to the docs on monday to collect by blood tests so I'll be wanting to know average times etc.. too.

I think you just need to keep in touch with the GP so that you are not forgotten and the refferal is being processed. Also try to get hold of the hospital dept so you can check with them too. Up to 4 mths does not mean it will take that long. The NHS have waiting lists to contend with and cannot afford to have people hanging around. Have you choosen where you want to go? Our GP has given us a choice of 4 London hospitals and we have chosen UCH for our refferal. If DH ever gets round to providing his sample then she will refer us.

Jules how did the scan go?

Lissie I think 2008 is going to be the year for lots of us - I'm soooo pleased about your refferal to LWH. Such a great early present

Tjuice, take it easy and rest.

BTW office parties (other than Popsy's of course) are not all that wonderful. I have been to a fair few and to tell you the truth they are over rated. Our dept one last night was in a pub and I left after a couple of hours. The museum wide one is this coming Wednesday and DH has joked about tinsel round the Egyptian sculputres and red wine bottles on the mummies heads

Christmaspartypoppers · 14/12/2007 12:25

just back from docs
is arranging for me to see specialist which is fab but he says may be up to 4 months wait
I want him to just give me some bloody clomid and be done with it - anyone managed to get there quicker? needs tips ...

merrylissiemas · 14/12/2007 12:07

ahem

TJuice · 14/12/2007 12:05

hi ladies
i hit the wall today and phoned in sick although i still may turn up for the food part of the xmas party - so naughty - but to hell with it.

i had my first midwife appointment as well, which turned out to be way too early but she seems quite nice - they all seemed to be my mums age which is reassuring, in terms of all that experience they have.(although i have heard that they are not into pain relievers during birth here - which scares me slightly)
since it was early, she warned me that if we try and hear the heartbeat now, we may not hear it and i shouldn't worry etc. but it was totally loud and clear! was a really amazing moment and i wish my dp was there. i still feel a bit overcome with emotion now . . .

sfxmum · 14/12/2007 10:17

Morning ladies (popsy struggles to find a hangover emoticon but has to make do with this one )

Took me ages to log in this morning cos I had forgotten I had changed my name - you try typing christmaspartypoppers in my state (just had 3 goes at that noe

Actually not feeling too rancid this morning - think my liver is just pleased that I wasn't as bad as this time last week .

Did get slightly ratted of course but no falling over on the dancefloor and no walking around talking to people with my chicken fillets hanging out (oh yes that really did happen with my new boss who has not spoken to me since . Wouldn't be so bad but I'd been taking complements on my stupendous new cleveage all night ...my student really enjoyed letting me know just as I was leaving....howl howl the shame.

Sitting here trying to finish of this pesky portfolio with a berocca and big bowl of naught crunchy nut conrflakes (they're for DH honest

Wheely fab news about Kensgirl - she was so lovely - it'll be one of us next I can feel it in my slightly dehydrated bones

Ronny Save your work xmas do for the new year and we'll come and help you celebrate hon (popsy books herself in for dialysis in preparation)

ronshar · 13/12/2007 23:08

Wheely no way, I cant imagine such a sensible lady like you falling out of your dress

I wonder what naughtyness Popsy has got herself into.
My Christmas party for one is going to be really boring! I wonder if I can get drunk and embarass myself? I dont have a photocopier at home mind you.
Being a SAHM is crap at Christmas

Wheelybahhumbug · 13/12/2007 21:22

Jules, SK, Lcy, Aqua - how ya doing ?

Popsy -Kensgirl is pg. She only found out a couple of weeks ago so guess she is keeping head down and fingers crossed. Looking forward to hearing about the christmas do. I always drink far too much at DH's do's because its the only way I can cope with a bunch of dullards but my most embarrassing moment was (apparently, I don't remember it) falling out of my dress at his bosses 50th and then falling down the ramp for the dancefloor. I now wake up in the morning after going out with them and ask if I did anything embarrassing. Thankfully DH doesn't mind

TJuice · 13/12/2007 19:35

can't wait to hear what popsy did next . . .

TJuice · 13/12/2007 19:33

hi aqua

hope you are okay. its so tough right now, i know. i hope you manage to get in some luxuriating of some sort - whether its getting away, treating yourself to stuff or food or something. Its a horrid time of year for it,I know but i think its important. anyway, hugs to you, lady.

aquababe · 13/12/2007 13:08

Thanks for asking georgiegirl.
still bleeding. Will be a whole lot better after that stops.
still tearful alot too
had dd's birthday yesterday, I tried to make it fun
I got a lie-in this morning as she was soo tired from last night. still got party at weekend
trying to get in festive christmas mode but struggling

albs jules so happy for those little heartbeats

lcy still got those fingers crossed for you

sk really hope you manage to get a scan.
I once turned up on the wrong day (1 day early)and they managed to squeeze me. not suggesting that you just turn up or anything of course. It is really frustrating

LoveAngelGabriel · 13/12/2007 12:52

Hello all, just checking in to say 'Afternoon' and hope all who are going through m/c or suspected m/c are looking after themselves and getting the care they need (and all who are ttc and waiting for bfp's have got good news around the corner!). Did some Xmas shopping this morning and got into the spirit of things. Helps to keep my mind off my m/c and all my pregnant friends! Lots of positive energy and babydust to you all x
