So glad you saw happy healthy bean Lcy, im thinking good thoughts for you!

Hope all of your ahve a lovely chrimbo x

DUSTIN · 20/12/2007 11:04

Lcy so pleased you saw a heartbeat but angry at the EPU for not scanning you again before 12 weeks. Don't they understand what a worrying time it is for a woman who has had previous mc!

Lcy · 20/12/2007 10:47

Thanks i am very proud of him

I have had a bit of an epic already this morning. I have been bleeding brown blood all this week and decided ennough was enough. I had a scan at the EPU booked for next Thursday but thought i wwould go crazy not knowing what was going on over christmas. Any way i went to EPU - they were annoyed to see me again but scanned me and

i saw a 6 week old bean with a heart beat

Not out of the woods yet because i saw a heart beat last time but positive news to keep me going over Christmas. EPU wont scan me now till 12 weeks and i miscarried last time at about 8 so i will book in for a private scan.

I hope everyone else is ok xxx

wheelybahhumbug · 20/12/2007 10:23

Hello everyone else - hope things are going ok for the preg ladies ! Well done your DH Lcy !

wheelybahhumbug · 20/12/2007 10:23

Ronshar - I am now in London but I am from (and my parents still live there) a v. small town in between Brighton and Newhaven which you probably haven't heard of as its pretty dull . Love Brighton though - am always trying to persuade DH to move there but he won't (the fact he'd have to add a long commute on to his 50+++ week seems a pathetic excuse ).

ronshar · 20/12/2007 10:03

Morning to everyone here.
I had a lovely time shopping. I was brave enough to go into Ann Summers. It wasnt any where near as bad as I had imagined.
Tjuice I saw those tassles. They look fab. No wonder you are pregnant

Following a few days of hiding and sulking the sunny weather has broken my mood and I am feeling good again. Isnt it amazing how the most unlikely of things knock us onto our arses!
I dont think DH & I put in enough effort this time so not expecting anything good for Christmas. Oh well I shall just have to drink my way through the festivities.

I have cats and when one died a few years ago I was heartbroken. So I have full sympathies Dustin.

Wheely I come from Worthing, where are you?

sfxmum · 20/12/2007 09:58

and congrats to Lcy hubby

sfxmum · 20/12/2007 09:57

Lcy · 19/12/2007 19:35

Lcy · 19/12/2007 19:33

Welcome Becaroodolf - sorry you have to be here but hope we can provide support for you x

Hello everyone else (Lcy waves with hand that does not have chocolate in it )

becaroodolf · 19/12/2007 19:29

Verso, if it is any consolation...not long ago I was doing the dishes and heard "two little boys" by Rolf Harris on Radio 2 and the tears came....

Verso · 19/12/2007 19:27

{{{hugs}}} to Wannab and becaroodolf. I don't have any answers for you but wanted to welcome you both.

and thanks to everyone for the replies to my post yday. I felt awful. Today isn't fantastic, but it's nowhere near as bad, if that makes sense.

becaroodolf · 19/12/2007 19:22

Hello.

I miscarried on friday. I was 6 weeks pregnant. Still bleeding slightly but not much. Had a scan yesterday and my uterus is empty.

Want to try again, but very scared and since the mc not sure when would be best to try....cycle & when I will ovulation etc.

The EPU nurse was very nice and told me that next time I can have diagnostic blood tests done and early scans at 7 and 10 weeks which is good to know.

Anyone else mc and got pregnant again quickly and gone on to have a healthy baby?????

Wannabamummy · 19/12/2007 14:59

tanks, its just nice to know that im not alone!

cricri · 19/12/2007 14:54

Hi Wannab, welcome, glad you found us, although sorry you had to iyswim. This is a wonderful thread for tears, laughs and cakes. I certainly don't know what I'd have done without it since my mmc.
In answer to your question, it takes time to get over a mc and everybody deals with it in different ways. Some women are back ttc as soon as they can (that includes me) and for others it takes a lot longer to feel ready. There's no right or wrong, just go with how you feel.
You'll find plenty of support on here in any case and there's always somebody here to answer any questions you may have. xx

Wannabamummy · 19/12/2007 14:40

Hi all

Been recommended to come to this threadas have been thru a mc in july last year, i seem to link this to being made redundant.. i was made redundant then mc-ed , i didnt expel(?) naturally and had to have d and c , i think its called so obv very traumatic time, and dont think ive really dealt with it, DP and i are going to start ttc in june ish as we have hol in aug any advice general messages would be welcom, just nice to know im not alone, love to you all x

DUSTIN · 19/12/2007 14:12

KateCricriAqua and Splish Thanks for the kind words. Non animal lovers have no idea of the bond you have with an animal. She has been part of my life for 14 years(alot of relationships don't last that long). She even came to work with me.

Verso Hope you feel better today. I know what you mean about eggs deteriorating- worries the hell out of me!

SantasGotABigFatEllieG · 19/12/2007 13:51

Hey all - am on leave from tomorrow for a few days which can't wait for - so happy Christmas if don't get time for internetting before! Hope you all stay well and have a great holiday x

sfxmum · 19/12/2007 09:39

Twilight - fabulous news, very pleased for you

Verso - so sorry you are feeling low, all part and parcel but very hard to take. Indulge in things that make you happy and bring you some comfort

cricri - a shindig seems like just the thing, glad you had a good time

slishsplosh - I am still to do a huge part of shopping incl. presents, at least will be away for the big day.

aqua - it is quite hard so bitter sweet, I like hearing of happy successful baby stories despite the inevitable twinge of sadness.

all ticking along ok here

take care all

kate2179 · 18/12/2007 23:20

PS how was your scan today TJuice?

kate2179 · 18/12/2007 23:19

Wooo hoo Twilight! FANTASTIC!! Looking forward to more photos of your miracle bean over the coming weeks and months

Verso so sorry to hear you're feeling terrible. I know we've all been there, but that doesn't always help that much when you're going through it... Take some time for yourself if you can, my skin which is always a bit dodgy was TERRIBLE just after my mc and with all the hormones flying around as well it was just one thing too much to cope with so I know exactly how you feel. Can you go for a facial? I'm always amazed how much better my skin is when I do, and I always feel incredibly relaxed afterwards which makes it doubly worthwhile, just wish it wasn't so expensive! I know it won't be anywhere near the answer to everything that's worrying you, but it seems to me that when there are so many big things to worry about that you can't do much about sometimes it helps to do something positive about the little things that you can do something about! Haven't put that very clearly I'm afraid but I hope you know what I mean...

TJuice thank you so much for your post last night, you know that is exactly what I wanted to hear, made me feel a lot better.

Dustin so sorry to hear about your dog, and sorry I was too self obsessed to say so last night. Our spaniel is 3 and I totally can't imagine life without him.... Really hope you're ok.

TwilightSurfer · 18/12/2007 22:32

Hi ladies. I just wanted to pop by and let you all know 1st that I'm so thankful for the support I received here and 2nd let you know that my miracle conception (17days post-mc) seems to be sticking. Doc took a picture yesterday at 5+2 (check my gallery). No MC is going to stop me!! The power of the Avengers is too strong. Keep your eye on the prize ladies. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

Verso · 18/12/2007 20:22

Hello everyone. Have been v the past day or so. I think it hit me afresh and I haven't yet heard from the hospital about my consultant appointment. Ok so it's only two weeks but I'm 37 and not getting any younger. Someone said about eggs deteriorating after 35 and that's exactly what's been worrying me.

Actually not sure if it's my messed-up hormones but feeling very very anxious and weepy today . It's most peculiar and not very nice.

Spotty face and still bleeding (but not much). Just don't want to have to wait forever before trying again - but don't want to go through another missed m/c if there's a way it could be prevented.

Sorry. Am rambling. Have had some nice Christmas parties in the meantime so it's not all bad. Except it is .

TJuice · 18/12/2007 19:27

yes - lcy - how are you doing?

cricri · 18/12/2007 19:18

Hello everybody,
I'm back after a weekend in Scotland for my sister's wedding. What a fantastic time! I got quite emotional - my baby sister getting married!
It took me a while to catch up on all the posts...
Jules So pleased everything is OK with miniJules and hope your dog is OK.
Kasha Great news about the appointment - hope everything goes OK.
Dustin So sorry to hear about your dog Non-animal lovers find it difficult to understand how upsetting it is to lose a pet but they're part of the family aren't they?
SK How are you doing?
And Lcy? Hope you're both OK.
Well, CD32 for me and no sign of AF yet. Sore (.)(.) and strange cramping sensations as though she's about to make an appearance so I'm not getting my hopes up.
Hope everybody else is OK this evening.
