just been to see the gp, saw a different one this time and she agreed to refer me to Liverpool Womens Hospital straight away. her exact words were "mr b doesnt seem able to help you, so it would be negligient of me to deny you specialist care"

so in 6w i could be seeing one of the leading recurrent miscarriage specialists at a top clinic. feel so muych more positive now!

Thanks girls. I'm seeing the gp on thursday morning.

cedar12 · 03/12/2007 13:23

They dont start scanning until day 10 and I am about a week of af I think so I ahve got to ring them on day 1. But I cant remember where I have put the letter!

merrylissiemas · 03/12/2007 12:10

cedar, how did it go?

cedar12 · 03/12/2007 12:10

I mean great news you have found out whats wrong! not that you have got an under functioning thyroid.

cedar12 · 03/12/2007 12:09

Thats great new Ladylush, Good luck

merrylissiemas · 03/12/2007 12:02

wow ll, finally an answer! when will you see your gp?

ladylush · 03/12/2007 11:58

Have just found out that my thyroid is probably underfunctioning. At last I have found a possible cause of my recurrent m/c. Hurrah! Now all I need to do is convince my gp to px thyroxine

ladylush · 03/12/2007 10:06

Thanks Cedar. If you are over 35 and have been unable to conceive for 6 months, you are entitled to investigations. It's 12 months for under 35's.

cedar12 · 03/12/2007 09:42

Ladylush your gp can tell if you are ovulating by doing some blood tests. They dont usually look into fertility problems until after a year though. But I dont see why they wouldnt do I blood test. They do it on day 3 and day 21 if you have a normal length cycle. Good Luck.

ladylush · 02/12/2007 23:12

Lissie - got fingers crossed that they find out what is wrong. Good to hear that you are more positive

Cedar - am interested in the folicle tracking. Hope it works out for you. Might make some enquries myself. Problem is that I have a regular cycle, but don't know if I am actually ovulating. This is the longest it has taken me to conceive - 5th month trying since mmc. I know that isn't long for some women but I have always fallen quickly before. 36 next month and getting bit worried. Have also noticed that the brown blood pre and post period seems to be getting more pronounced.

No not ivf. Its when they scan you ever other day from day 10 to tell exactly when you are going to ovulate so you can time the deed not sure if its going to help much as I am pretty sure when I ov but my cycle has been a lot longer since the ivf. But at least it feels like we are doing something.

lissielewzealand · 27/11/2007 19:15

oh, so trying ivf again?

we are good now. had a BIG chat and sorted loads of stuff out.

to find out once and for all!

cedar12 · 27/11/2007 19:13

Pretty good trying to be relaxed about all this ttc. Saw my consultant last week he said he my tube looked much the same as last time so no further damage, and he removed some scaring near the top of my tube. I wish he done that a year ago! I am having follicle tracking next month. How are you and dh doing?

lissielewzealand · 27/11/2007 19:12
