TTC first baby , anyone else ?

Hey everyone

Glad I found this thread as it’s helpful to see I’m not crazy for having these feelings.

I too cried today as I woke to see my temp massively drop and knew what was coming… basically been waiting for AF all day and started to get the spotting when I wipe. Ugh! I am getting so frustrated as we’ve been TTC for five months and our friends seem to get pregnant on the first go. I’m 31 and had my mirena removed in feb, but was on the pill for years and years before that! I’m worried my cycles aren’t long enough - only 25/26 days with ovulation on day 16. I’ve been taking vit c and vit b complex (100mg of b6) but doesn’t seem to be doing anything. I’m finding the emotional stuff the hardest… I can’t help but get so invested and think “what if” between the ovulation and AF only to be absolutely gutted when it arrives. We spend our whole younger lives being told how not to get pregnant which led me to believe it must be easy.

I’m going to try another test on Thursday which will be 10dpo!

I've had an increase in CM but more like clear which is odd I think. Haven't checked my cervix - never heard about it until yesterday on one of the forums on here. Might do some research!

Oh wow you’ve really seem to be experiencing symptoms! Iv only had a really sharp pain but didn’t last long. Also, not sure if you check cervix but mine is really high and lots of creamy mucus (sorry for the tmi!) x

I'm the same. I know it'll be a BFN for a while yet but I can't help it 😩

I'd love it to be this month as on the weekend we're going to the place we met - it would be the best to tell my DH there 🥺

So symptoms currently: cramping low down, nausea, headaches and like a weird stabbing pain in my left breast.

I very rarely cramp with AF and it's never been before that I've had cramps so it's really odd!

@Itsjustme20 oh thank god I’m not the only one!! I tested today - bfn and 8dpo! I have ordered some on Amazon to come. I just have a feeling this is the month…! Do you have any specific symptoms?!

When is everyone planning to test? I’m 8dpo and itching to test already although I know it’s too early! X

@MiniSmartie that's really cute! I'm glad he's getting into it! My DH was understandably terrified about the idea for the first few months (whereas I was in denial!) but now I think he's as impatient as me 😂 I forced him to watch Netflix's 'Babies' series, and have been keeping him updated on my cycle (although this month I didn't tell him when ovulation was until a couple of days later - he probably figured it out from all the compulsory BDing though haha)

I've been ttc #1 since January. Now in the tww of cycle 6. I'm 33, no known issues and quite a regular cycle, but not a hint of a positive yet!

I hope to see some BFPs on here in the next few weeks! 🤞

So DH surprised himself and was sad that we didn't conceive this month (despite him initially not expecting us to conceive for a good 6 months) He's already drawing up our planned evening activities for next month and getting in some exercise to ready himself 😂 It sounds daft but him being so determined now has cheered me right up! Any other DH or DPs out there who are getting really obsessed with your cycle?! 🤣

My ovulation came bang on prediction which was quite incredible. I had an implant for 4 years and was on pills for 15 years prior to that so a first month ovo was a bit of a surprise! Now in the TWW. This is agony!

Hi all, just to update you AF arrived this morning I'm gutted, once again. I just dont understand how some people fall pregnant so quickly! After my MC in April they told me I am more fertile for 3 months but I feel like it's not happening

Thanks everyone I'm not getting my hopes up because I told myself I wouldnt put myself under pressure! Amazing how it was so easy to conceive the first time and partly because I wasnt thinking about my ovulation window. And everytime AF comes or i get a bfn just reminds me that I could have still been pregnant with the first one to think I would have been due in November.

@Teaandcrumpets95 this is exactly how I'm feeling now having been unsuccessful on the 1st cycle. It's nice to know I'm not alone and I'm glad to hear you've been able to be kinder to yourself now. I don't think I can deal with the tension of another month like this! 😩

Trying for first also, at the cd 6 of cycle 3.
I'm going to be honest I was quite disappointed with the first cycle (ridiculous I know) just because you here so much about people getting pregnant first time. But after the first cycle I'm feeling less pressure on myself if that makes sense.
Absolutely obsessed still but feeling positive and hopeful which I want to try and keep because who knows how long this could take 😅

First month trying to digital blue advanced opk which is very exciting. But I'm unsure when to start testing- first cycle was 25 days (first off implant) and last cycle was 38 days. I'm thinking of going in between what the leaflet says and start with cd 10. Don't know if anyone has any other ideas?

I really enjoy reading this forum as none of my friends or family are in a similar position and I can't talk to them, so nice to know I'm not alone in this boat 😊 xx

3rd cycle of TTC number 1. Finding it very hard to not get disappointed every time I get a BFN. Had some mean evap lines this time but no joy. I'm 24 and my OH is 27. Everyone I know seems to have conceived straight away. I know 3 cycles is not a lot at all. Just keep plowing on... Literally 🍆😂

Hey everyone! First time posting, first time trying. This was our first month TTC and I did an early test today with a negative result. Feeling a bit gutted but also not particularly surprised. We've wanted a baby for years but me and DH are finally in a secure enough position in life to try. It's nice to be on this journey with other people!

Hi everyone! Just an update for you, I had some pink just on wiping this morning and nothing else. I also had the tiniest bit of pink last night So I'm hoping this is implantation and not AF! Lol but will see what happens by the end of the day. Normally I spot brown before AF and she comes very quickly! So I'm keeping everything crossed today

Hi everyone, we’re TTC #1. I got a peak reading on clear blue 13/7 but not sure exactly when I ovulated so going off latest 15/7 so 8 dpo with no symptoms really... I had some cramping Monday and a massive headache Tuesday and now cold symptoms that came out of nowhere, but it could just all me a coincidence. I’ve done a PT and BFN - it’s our first month trying but still disheartening. I’ve become quite obsessed with symptom spotting and testing. I’m due tomorrow, but usually run late. I found the Flo app also didn’t predict my ovulation time right so thank goodness I started testing early and frequently! My cycle has always been irregular as well. Good luck to everyone! 🤞🏼
