Hi there,

Ok I'm ready to try for number 2 and feeling a bit nervous and in need of company ! anyone out there in the same boat, how about the mutual support group starts here.

my son is nearly 21 months. i conceived really easily last time but had 2 consecutive m/c before he came along so spent about a year and a half pregnant ! i'm scared 2nd time round won't be so easy and m/cs might come back but also sooooo excited. also i'm 36 and keep feeling really old and like i have to get it sorted soon ............

aaah, little one is dancing round the sofa to annie on the telly, need to go and join him. would really like to hear from anyone in the same boat,

can't bore my childless friends with all the boring details constantly,

cheers

fulloffestivefun · 12/12/2007 15:59

I'm trying to remember when exactly did i stop taking the pill and I think it is about 3 months now. AF is all over the place though so I'm not sure when i do ovulate, will just have to bd everynight for the next couple of weeks and see what happens! Hihihi, husband will stay at work if he knew what I just tiped, he has been really busy so has been knackered when he gets home at night.

fruitloop79 · 12/12/2007 15:17

I wouldnt be scared yet! I think you were just extremely lucky with DD. I've been off pill since beginning Aug and you'll find a lot of people on here have been trying for a couple of years. don't panic yet!

Also the pill needs to come out of your system 1st

fulloffestivefun · 12/12/2007 15:08

Can I please join you, have been of the pill for a couple of weeks but have had no luck yet. My DD is 19 months and think it is time for dc2. I'm a bit scared since it took us 9days from getting of the pill to conceiving the last time around. Hoping that it well happen begining next year.

loopybear · 12/12/2007 14:57

Hope the move goes well Yorky. DH is more obsessed with my cycle than me!!! I've told him I can't concieve to order (he wants me to get pregnant and deliver by the time he goes on tour next november!!!!) Am skiving at work and can't see page 6 even though it says there are 6 pages.

Might not be around for a few days as the packers arrive this afternoon and I don't get a fixed abode until Monday.
Either that or I'll be on loads trying to distract myself from all the stuff I haven't done yet!
I was hoping to be on around now but no signs yet so trying not to hope, must have packed the babydust with the cat basket - trying to find both quite quickly!

bambam30 · 10/12/2007 08:38

bambam30 · 10/12/2007 08:36

minkersmum · 09/12/2007 23:34

I am currently day 2 of cycle 3 of ttc, following a mc in sep. I already have ds 3yrs and dd 13 mnths. Fingers crossed this is the month. Feel like all my friends are pregnant and i'm getting more and more desperate for a bfp! Good luck to all ttc.Xxxxxxxxxxxxx

minkersmum · 09/12/2007 23:29

Hi i'm new here, i conceived number 2 easily its number 3 thats proving not to be so easy. Baby dust to all.

Yorky · 09/12/2007 20:01

Hi bambam30, nice to see you, we are on our first month too, just waiting for AF so I can see if I've got a regular pattern after baby.
Wow! a Christmas eve wedding, thats lovely, but very brave - people thought we were nuts getting married on the bank holiday Monday, the day after boxing day, I'm sure it will go really well for you. If you're around CD17 now then doesn't your next fertile time fall while you're on honeymoon? now that would be romantic!

loopybear · 09/12/2007 19:32

fruitloop According to what I've now read post "failure" to BF PCOS can cause you to under or over supply but some BF normally. A friend of mine couldn't with her first and was spraying milk with her 2nd. If I manage to concieve 2nd baby I'm going to be better prepared for trying to BF and I've already got MN as a source!!!!!

Bambam it may be a comblination of wedding stress / excitement as well.

I'm feeling abit obsessive showing no signs of ovulating. Don't want to start charting because I'll become very obsessive over it all..

bambam30 · 09/12/2007 08:50

fruitloop79 · 07/12/2007 22:09

well that would explain why my poor DS lost so much weight due to me producing barely a dribble of milk. now I'm convinced that's what's wrong with me.
Oh great, so if > I do have another baby and if I have got PCOS does that mean I wont be able to bf then either? I was kind of hoping I was just unlucky with BFing last time

Well there's no point worrying about it now is there. Probably wont see a gynacologist for ages

loopybear · 07/12/2007 21:21

fruitloop PCOS can effect concieving. I'm one of the lucky ones. DD was a complete suprise I forgot to take mini pill sometimes and well everything fell into place. GP has warned me not to get my hopes up as she maybe my 1 miricle baby!!!!Don't just ask for a scan ask for a refereral to a different gynacologist. My gynacologist was convinced that I'd need IVF and had spken about referring me to a fertility expert in London! although not for this thread but PCOS effects milk production too.

fruitloop79 · 06/12/2007 22:00

loopybear d'ya reckon? Well hopefully I'll get an appointment for next Thursday. I'll get GP to arrange another scan for me. I dont know much about PCOS apart from the symptoms. If it's treated it cant effect conceiving can it?

loopybear · 06/12/2007 21:49

Fruitloop ask for another opinon because of the nature of PCOS is a syndrome you don't get all of the things that make it a syndrome e.g. the excess hair, carrying weight etc. I'm sure I read somewhere that it included the actual cysts. I maybe wrong but definately go and ask to see another gynacologist.

fruitloop79 · 06/12/2007 21:23

Yorky No I was scanned for it a few years ago and they didnt find anything, I was absolutely convinced I had PCOS cos I've got loads of symptoms. I've got an underactive thyroid but I'm on the right dose of medication so it should be functioning normally. I have no idea what's wrong, I know it'll affect my chances of conceiving anytime soon though which is a bugger

Yorky · 06/12/2007 21:14

Hurray - I've got my internet back!
It took about six months after having implanon removed to fall with DS, I'm 29
Well done twinkling fairy for getting us all organised,
Fruitloop, do you have PCOS with your long and irregular periods?
Hate TTC as seem to spend my whole life looking at calendar and wishing the weeks away so I don't have to wait to know!
Congratulations disneystar - 7 is brave, and I want a big family!
Good luck dancerandprancer, and everyone.

twinklingfairy · 06/12/2007 20:58

Yeah, dancer I was thinking ovulation pains or implantaion?
Do you know when/if you ovulated yet this month?
I guess with only 10days until you expect AF then it is more likely to be implantation. They say it is mostly 14 days between ovulation and AF arriving and about 7-10 between conception and implantation?
Hope that helps

Well, I am CD15 now and been testing and temping, no signs of ov yet
So no BDing for me yet

I have been telling myself that I was not going to hold out my hopes for this month, but I haven't even started the 2ww and already I am impatient for a result!

halogen · 06/12/2007 20:45

Try not to stress about it, dancer! But fingers crossed that it's a baby in there. Cramps sound positive - ovulation pain?

Thanks for sympathies but I am fine. If I manage to get pregnant again, it will totally be a bonus as it took so long last time! But still disappointing. Funny how you always expect it to be the one that works, even when it's so often not the case... Anyway, counting the days until I can start weeing on sticks again. Oh joy...

dancerandprancer · 06/12/2007 17:47

Think I am going nuts with symptom spotting. Have felt really pre-menstrual for the last two days, with niggling cramps. AF not due for 10 days or so, just wondering whats going on. Any ideas?
