Hi there,

Ok I'm ready to try for number 2 and feeling a bit nervous and in need of company ! anyone out there in the same boat, how about the mutual support group starts here.

my son is nearly 21 months. i conceived really easily last time but had 2 consecutive m/c before he came along so spent about a year and a half pregnant ! i'm scared 2nd time round won't be so easy and m/cs might come back but also sooooo excited. also i'm 36 and keep feeling really old and like i have to get it sorted soon ............

aaah, little one is dancing round the sofa to annie on the telly, need to go and join him. would really like to hear from anyone in the same boat,

can't bore my childless friends with all the boring details constantly,

cheers

C

usuallytooshytochat · 17/12/2007 22:53

Is this cycle going really slowly, or is it just me?

twinklingfairy · 17/12/2007 21:08

oh dear, poor you bambam an dancerandprancer

I don't think I am going to get my BFP this month. Just don't feel pregnant at all and no symptoms of any description. Last month I have sore boobs and spotting by this point and was convinced I was pregnant.
Then again, 3 days later AF arrived so, who knows

Am going to leave it until the weekend before I test, unless AF arrives sooner. By that point I will be 14 dpo.

The only way I have heard to choose gender was to wait until the last minute for the boys, cos they swim faster and die earlier. Then to get in early for a girl cos they swim slower and the boys will die off before the egg is ready. We tried for a boy by leaving it as late as pos. Possibly too late.

loopybear · 17/12/2007 21:00

Fruitloop have you seen GP yet? I'm trying to hold off buying a test. I'm due tomorrow, have had no PMT but no PG symptoms either. Just stinking cold.

bambam30 · 17/12/2007 20:30

TEUCHywithallthetrimmings · 17/12/2007 19:02

bambam30 · 17/12/2007 17:55

DebitheScot · 17/12/2007 14:40

ese- someone on this thread here is using a book about how to conceive a specific gender of baby. Bottom of page 21 in the thread tells you a bit about it. I didn't even know you could do anything until I asked that poster about it.

fruitloop- oh my goodness can't believe you're having a 3 month cycle!!

bambam30 · 17/12/2007 12:51

have hope dancerandprancer when are you actually due on maybe you have done a test too early..... it is so hard tho you do wonder if the symptons are in your head or if they are real it IS a nightmare i will keep my fingers crossed for you. by the way good morning everyone a week today i get married yipeeeeeeeeee i am beginning to wonder too if iam imagining all my symptoms i just don't think i am pg i dunno we'll see i due thurs

fruitloop79 · 17/12/2007 12:40

Hi Teuch, yes still on mega cycle , day 82 today.
Blood test results come through next week (great! xmas week) so will have to wait till following week I imagine. Should get a pelvic ultrasound in Jan, fingers crossed.

dancerandprancer · 17/12/2007 09:46

Morning all. Did test yesterday but BFN.
Still feeling nauseus and peeing all the time and not feeling particularly pre-menstrual. DH thinks maybe I have tested too early, but I dont want to be lulled into thinking that.

ese · 17/12/2007 08:59

I am new to this chat but wondered if anyone was using any methods to try to concieve a girl. We are trying the gender selection choosethesexofyourbaby.com but would not reccomend it to anyone. Their promises are not fulfilled and they do not provide the informatino they say they will provide. After sales service is also non existant. Has any one else hasd this experience?

TEUCHywithallthetrimmings · 17/12/2007 08:23

Hi all, thanks for the good wishes. DS and I are now at my parents', DH is at new house, don't know where the furniture is but I don't get there till Monday so as long as it gets there before me...! I'm spending the weekend cleaning which will not keep my mind off wondering where AF is. 2 BFNs so not hoping thats why she's late, but want to move on. How can I plan BDing when I don't know where I'm up to? I know its just moving stress and hormones but the RAF has messed up the last six months of my life and I can't even sort out this one little bit!
Whinge over.
Congratulations libbyssister, and all the best for sunday dancerandprancer

bambam30 · 14/12/2007 19:07

bambam30 · 14/12/2007 17:56

libbyssister · 14/12/2007 09:47

fingers crossed this time!

bambam30 · 14/12/2007 08:54

DebitheScot · 13/12/2007 09:53

I just posted on the ttc after christmas thread and then saw this one which might be better for me to be on. Or I could try to keep up with both but don't know if I'll manage that. Here's what I posted:

Can I join your thread? I'm not bothering to wait till after Christmas but then from the quick look at this thread I see some of you have got impatient and aren't waiting either. We've just tried trying for number 2 (ds 19 months), I wanted to start a couple of months ago but put it off for a couple of months as if it had happened straight away the timing wouldn't have been good. My brother is getting married in July and I'm a teacher and would quite like to get to the end of the school year before having to leave so we held off a bit.
Had no probs conceiving last time so keep having to tell myself that it might not happen straight away (esp as last time we were on holiday and now I'm working and its nearly Christmas). My AF is due on Christmas day I think (cycle been a bit erratic recently so could be a few days after Christmas) so hopefully if it does come I'll be too busy to think about it. Obviously won't be too sad tho as we've only just started trying.

Anyone else quite nervous about it all though? I'm more nrevous this time round. Esp at 7am when I'm struggling to get out of bed and I think about how much worse it'll be with another baby in the house.
