Hello,
I couldn't see a thread for ladies trying for baby no 2, so I thought I'd start one.
I'm nearing the end of cycle 3, 12DPO today, AF due on Wednesday. Having all sorts of symptoms that I don't usually get.
My first LO turned 2 a couple of months ago.
Look forward to hearing others' stories 😊

@MamaSJ15 I use the Premom app. I guess it will happen at some point. Good luck for the next cycle x

MamaSJ15 · 15/07/2021 13:39

@Pasha82 I really do find it irritating to be honest. Which app do you use? I know they can never be 100% accurate but it's still annoying!

I find myself just gravitating towards the app all the time when I have no reason to even be on it. It makes it all life consuming when actually I want to make the most of the time I have with my current 'baby' (she is so not a baby anymore!) While she's still little and the second will happen when the time is right 😊

I'm saying all this in the hopes it will make me actually do as Im saying 😂😂 x

@MamaSJ15 glad you feel positive and ready for #4. Well the app says I'm 2 days late but I got a bfn this morning. I think I ovulated late so who knows as I may be 11dpo instead of 14 dpo which is what my app says!! You have the right idea to do it the relaxed way as the app is irritating at times!

MamaSJ15 · 15/07/2021 13:24

So AF arrived this morning, so day 1 in cycle #4 now.
I seem to have a new positive energy about me today. The app I use for tracking my cycle has started to mess up my predicted cycle lengths because I came on early last time but it's gone back to normal now and the app hasn't so I've decided I'm going to try and avoid the app for a bit and just be a bit more casual about things. Have fun rather than just 'do it because it's the fertile week', it could be all wrong because of the app anyway 😂
If anyone wants to join me on the casual way (and keep me on the right track too!) Then please be my guest 😊
How's everyone else doing today? X

@MamaSJ15 thank you....yeah finally getting there now, it's been 6 long months of the TTC rollercoaster plus not having regular cycles and recovery!

Hopefully we will all get those little second babies soon...my 2 year old has started calling her dolly her baby sister...so no pressure haha!

MamaSJ15 · 14/07/2021 20:01

Hello @FrannyBooBoo 😊
I hope you're feeling better after having covid!
Lovely to have you here 😁 we can all go for the ride together!

@coles85

Hello! Just found this thread and hoping to join Smile This will be my first month TTC #2, my oldest is two and we were really lucky to conceive right away last time so I fear my expectations on how long this might take care skewed Confused I also have no clue when I'm due to ovulate because my cycle has been totally messed up since coming off the pill. Wishing everyone lots of luck!!!
Hello and welcome @coles85 😊 my LO is 2 as well, I've heard of a lot of people conceiving first time, fingers crossed it doesn't take much longer than a couple of cycles! I'm in cycle 3 and AF due today, tested yesterday but was negative but had loads of weird symptoms so 🤷🏼 hope your cycles sort themselves out soon!
@MamaSJ15 my DC is 6 so I can't even remember symptoms etc . I just hate the waiting and the constant knicker checking! It's exhausting 🤪
Haha it really is exhausting! Every time I go to the loo I'm fully expecting to see my period but so far nothing. How are you feeling this evening?

Hi ya,

We're trying for #2, we initially started in January but having covid and the jabs has messed up my cycles...think I'm hopefully getting back to normal now, but it's been so stressful!

My LG was conceived first month of trying, we were so lucky, so this is all new to me...I honestly don't know how couples try for years, it's such emotionally hard work!

Hello @Pasha82 and welcome :)
I completely get why you would feel down, there is always hope, even if its in the back of your mind. How old is your first, if you dont mind me asking?
Thank you, I hope so too. Still no sign, but it's not even lunch time yet. After a negative test yesterday I don't have much hope left this cycle! x

Hi, please can I join your thread. I am ttc #2 and I'm in my fourth cycle. AF due today and feeling down as I can feel the cramps and the discharge! We didn't dtd at the right time this month so I don't know why I'm upset, but you always live in hope. I am much older than I was when I had my DD so I just feel like time is against me which adds to the stress! Good luck to all and @MamaSJ15 I hope AF stays away and you get your bfp.

MamaSJ15 · 14/07/2021 08:19

@darcey87 welcome!
How are you today? Nothing wacky being tried on our end, I take TTC vitamins and track my cycle but that's about it to be honest. We conceived in cycle 3 for our first so kinda hoping it's not gonna take too much longer for #2.
No AF yet, but it's still early in the day, getting a bit more crampy which would be normal for AF but usually starts as AF appears. So 🤷🏼 but assuming it's on its way. X

Sorry you have a negative test @MamaSJ15 hopefully AF comes quickly so you can try again or maybe it's a late ov?

darcey87 · 13/07/2021 21:09

Hi mummies, I'm in cycle 1 of trying for dc2, only CD7 today so have all the trying ahead. I was meant to start CB ov tests this morning but forgot so hopefully that won't make much difference!

DH and I followed SMEP for dc1 and conceived in cycle 1, so I'm hoping it'll do the trick again this time! Except I'm 3.5 years older and overweight now... I'm not a very relaxed TTC-er, I need to have a plan. I'm going to try to avoid testing early and wait to see if AF is late.

Anyone doing anything wacky to help? I am on the grapefruit juice and also doing the usual preconception vitamins - plus extra folic due to my weight.

MamaSJ15 · 13/07/2021 21:04

Sorry, meant @feliznavidad2 😂

It doesn't come up with the names automatically on my phone for some reason haha!

OP posts:
MamaSJ15 · 13/07/2021 21:02

@feliznavidad5 I just feel really deflated, so many weird symptoms that I don't get on a usual cycle and nothing!
It's possible, I do usually ovulate a little later, I assumed I was getting ovulation pains but maybe it wasn't what I thought it was.
Ahh sorry you got a BFN but I guess it is a little early 😂

OP posts:
feliznavidad2 · 13/07/2021 20:23

Sorry to hear that @MamaSJ15 - could you have ovulated later?

I'm 6dpo and also took a pregnancy test this eve as I'm just silly. 🙈 obviously it was a BFN.

MamaSJ15 · 13/07/2021 19:34

Took a test this evening (day before period due) and it was negative 😟

OP posts:
MamaSJ15 · 13/07/2021 09:54

@feliznavidad2 I think the middle of the TWW is probably the worst isn't it!
I feel as though I've had every symptom in the book this cycle. Started from 7dpo with light cramps and lower backache which have been on and off probably most days since, had metallic taste in my mouth most nights, then became more frequently a couple of days ago, had on and off boob pain yesterday (which I NEVER get in a usual cycle), felt really nauseous a few nights ago and had more CM than usual (a lot of people say this isn't a factor, but NHS website lists it as an early pregnancy thing). If this isn't pregnancy, my body is playing a cruel trick on me!!
I'm not usually the kind of person to symptom spot either but these have been so obvious!
How are you feeling today? x

@MamaSJ15 fingers crossed AF doesn't show for you - any symptoms over the last few days?
