That's horrible he spoke to you in this manner. But you know what's horrible? That he is a doctor and despite that he still didn't know any better, and behaved in this way.

OP, please change clinics, doctors and everything. Next time you go to a doctor's visit, please remember that you have to choose them like you would a partner/friend. Chemistry and trust are important.

I’m so sorry, OP, it sounds like you’ve had an incredibly tough time. That doctor sounds useless. It may be that losing weight would help you, and fair enough to discuss that constructively and supportively as part of a treatment plan, but spouting nonsense about the war...! He or she is in sore need of some targeted retraining, to say the least.
I agree with PP who have advised you to push for an appointment with a specialist and if you can afford private care it sounds like that would be a good move. I really hope you get the tailored and sympathetic care you need soon. Xxx

But the harsh truth is you need to lose weight. Excess weight in itself causes huge hormonal fluctuations and in combination with PCOS (I know to some extent they might be linked too) it really is doing you no favours. I know it might be harder for you to lose. I had friends who had to go on a very strict diet for a year or so, together with metformin and then they saw the results TTC wise very quickly. You need a referral to a good dietician as well as an obstetrician specialising in PCOS and quick.

You really don't want to be worrying about weight in pregnancy, it does lead to increased risk of all sorts of issues, miscarriage, gestational diabetes, cholestasis, pre-eclampsia...the list is really long. I'm not saying this to make you feel bad, I'm saying this as someone who wishes I shed a stone before my own pregnancy (currently at 35+1) because maybe that would have stopped gestational diabetes from developing...I don't know, but it's not fun. After such a long wait you don't want to worry about you and your baby's health. I waited half as long as you after 3 miscarriages and it's been hell, so I do have a lot of sympathy OP

What the hell are they playing at? PCOS is one of the largest causes of infertility; what other category could you possibly need to fit in? You should not be having to order Clomid on your own. Doctors should be guiding you through this. It’s completely ridiculous, as lack of ovulation (or lack of consistent or “quality” ovulation) is a huge hallmark of PCOS and something many sufferers struggle with the most when it comes to pregnancy difficulty. You need a referral from your GP to maybe a specialist obstetrician, and hopefully they will be a much bigger help.

If that's the case and you've been trying for so long then you absolutely need a specialist referral. They'll likely introduce management for you, for example special diet and metformin and failing that, IVF. If your husband has other children you might not be eligible on the NHS, but after such length of TTC it would really be worth having a go privately if the meds don't help with regulating your cycles?

OP if you’re in the UK then you will be able to have basic testing at your GP - both you and your partner.
So basic bloods for day 3 and day 21 and a sperm analysis for your partner.

If you’re in the UK it will vary on what happens after that - postcode lottery on things like IVF but they may still provide a referral to the assisted conception unit at your local hospital where you can have some slightly more detailed checks done.

I’m sorry OP, that sounds really difficult for you. Have you been thoroughly tested by the GP or are they just dismissing you? Has your partner been checked too?

Sorry, I can't see anything I'm afraid. A FRER would usually have a stronger line at 15/16 DPO, BUT how long are your cycles? You might still be testing too early?

Are you sure you're 14/15 dpo? Any chance you ovulated a bit later this month? Also, the concentration of the urine can make a difference -- try again in the morning with FMU. Hope you get the answer you want. x

I'd have thought a frer would be a strong positive at 14/15dpo

Have you dipped all with the same urine sample? I can see lines on the ics but a frer is more sensitive than them so I would expect to see a line on it by 14 dpo
