@Lebe14 I got my BFP! The second line came up straight away 🥳😭 Cue immediate waterworks.

I know there are always mixed feelings about BFPs on these boards so I'll be thinking of you today. I know we've still got a long way to go and this is just another hurdle we've crossed, but I know how desperately you want to cross it and how horrible it is not knowing if you ever will. Sending big hugs! And I can't wait to hear how your cycle goes xx

@lebe14 Oh God I'm just torturing myself now. I just read about a study where 96.7% of late onset OHSS cases (study size of 60) were due to pregnancy. I'm going to be soooooo gutted if it's negative tomorrow. Must stop googling and just do something else.

On a lighter note, DH asked me to look up the stats on how likely it is to get twins from a single ICSI embryo transfer. It's actually quite high compared to natural pregnancy (but still less than 10%). So I'm still loving saying 'maybe it's TWINS!' every now and then but he looks slightly more terrified now 😂

@lebe14 Eeek not long to go for you then! 5 injections doesn't sound fun but maybe you'll be so blasé by the time you get to no5 that you'll barely notice it! I know 2-3 follicles is less than you hoped but you had a good success rate on your fertilisation and blastocysts last time, right? So you still have a shot.

I'm still suffering. It's now been 6 days of relentless bloating. This afternoon I found a really good article on The Duff all about OHSS and they exactly described everything I'm experiencing so I'm now pretty sure it's late onset OHSS. So then I googled late onset OHSS and apparently it's usually caused by pregnancy as your hcg rises, so yep I'm definitely getting my hopes up now! Gonna test on FMU tomorrow so I've warned DH that that will be happening at whatever crazy time of day I happen to wake up.

@taytay2020 how are you feeling? Just one more day until testing!! I'm so excited for you and still can't believe how strong you've been with not testing yet. Are you still feeling sick and sore, or has that passed and it's just the bloating now?

My scan yesterday shows just 2 good size follicles now, potentially a 3rd. So looking like we'll get 2-3 eggs. Doesn't give us much chance with drop offs so really hoping we get at least one that makes it and that we can transfer..... I'm hoping that we've given up quantity for quality this time. Trying to stay somewhat positive. I had bloods taken for progesterone to check that's low and will get the results on Monday. And my collection is booked for Tuesday morning. If we get any blasts on day 5 then a transfer will take place on the Sunday. But trying not to think of that yet as we've got a long way to go.

So this means I'm triggering on Sunday! Funny thing is, I was looking forward to a little break in injections but my clinic want me to take double Fyremadel on Sunday, and continue stims, with trigger at 9:30pm. So Sunday is a total of 5 injections haha. At least Monday is injection free and then Tuesday onwards just the 1 (if progesterone levels are low enough for transfer prep).

What are your plans for testing tomorrow? Are you going to get up early with the other half?? X

@Lebe14 I hope your scan goes well today! You're most of the way through stims now, bet that feels good 🙂
I'm onto day 5 of so much bloating it's not even funny. I've left the house when absolutely necessary but spent the rest of the week curled up on the sofa. Really hoping I'm less uncomfortable next week!

@taytay2020 oooooh twins!!! Imagine. Pleased they didn't seem worried - bet that's a relief. And hopefully you'll start to feel better soon OR if you don't, hopefully it's because you're pregnant. I'm really not looking forward to the early alarm for Cyclogest haha.

Yeah I must be re jabbing myself in the same place hence the tougher skin - I just don't have anywhere else to jab as the surface area isn't that large haha. Only a few more days to go though - it's not too bad.

@lebe14 Omg I couldn't handle progesterone injections as well! DH and I both can't wait for Saturday night to arrive so that I can turn off my 6.30am reminder for my first dose 😂

I'm sorry you're finding the injections harder this time around. I also decided to do one side a day this time to allow more recovery time on that side, but we always tried to avoid the site of a previous jab as I know that bit is tougher to penetrate. And then we also tried to avoid hair follicles. DH really had to look closely to choose his spot! I could never have done it myself.

The clinic said there was nothing to worry about at the moment, but I should let them know if it gets worse. It might be pregnancy symptoms, or OHSS, or my period, or something else entirely. I guess we'll find out on Sunday. In the meantime I'm enjoying whinging about every symptom to my DH and telling him 'maybe it's TWINS!' 😂

@taytay2020 sorry you're feeling so awful today!! Have you managed to move from your spot and have you managed to get hold of your clinic for advice? Feeling sick and sore abdomen doesn't sound like progesterone... sounds awful! And yes 3 cycologest a day is pretty standard - I was on that plus 1 injection a day. Hope you manage to take it easy today and rest up xx

Yeah 3 injections a day! Doing the x2 evening ones on the same side next to each other and then the fyremadel the following morning on the same side, to give me a 'free' side that evening haha. I'm actually finding the injections a bit painful this time - and taking more effort to get through the skin. Wonder if my stomach has just had too many injections and that's why it's hurting more? Anyway - hopefully only a few more days and then I can have a rest before the progesterone injection starts haha!! Xx

@lebe14 3 a day?! Oh you poor thing - I felt like I was running out of space for new holes with only 2 a day. Bizarrely my fyremadol jabs hurt less than the others this time - I think because DH was doing them at more of an angle so they didn't go in as deep. Still stung afterwards though. Hopefully your EC can take place sooner rather than later.

I'm definitely calling the clinic, I felt so bad this morning when I got up to do my Cyclogest. My whole abdomen was sore and I felt really sick. I've managed to find a comfy position for now so I'm scared to move from my spot 😂 but I really need to get on with my day soon...

I must be on a high dose of progesterone - 3 times a day! But that seems to be standard at my clinic.

@taytay2020 sorry to hear about the bloating - fingers crossed it's not OHSS and it's just the progesterone?? Are you taking a high dose of progesterone? Hopefully they can do something either way to make you feel more comfortable.

The injections are fine - a little more hard going this time around for some reason. I've been doing 2 separate injections since the start (300 Menopur and 150 Gonal f) and then introduced Fyremadel (ovulation stopper) from last Friday. So I'm feeling a little bit like a pin cushion at the moment with 3 a day 😂 x

@Lebe14 ok that sounds promising! How are you finding the injections this time? Are you doing 2 a day now? (I don't know how everyone's protocols differ!)

I've been getting really bloated for the last couple of days, I'm a bit concerned it might be mild/moderate OHSS. Might have to call the clinic tomorrow and see what they suggest. I'm not feeling really ill, just really uncomfortable. It's making it hard to do any pregnancy symptom spotting 😀

@taytay2020 ah you're so good waiting until Sunday!!! Scan went well - no change in meds (I'm already on the highest dose!!). We have 3 of a good size and a couple more which are smaller. So hopefully we can get 3. That's 1 less than last time but if all 3 are mature then that's a better result. Really, 1 blast on day 5 to transfer fresh would be the ideal. I have another scan on Friday to determine whether the collection will take place on Monday or whether I need a few more days x

@Lebe14 I'm definitely holding out for Sunday! I think a false result would make me more stressed.
How was your scan? Hope everything is developing nicely. Will you need to change your stims dosage or are they happy with it?

@taytay2020 sorry to hear about the cyclogest. The progesterone made me quite tired too - was going to bed so early!! Eeek exciting for next Sunday. Are you going to hold out or test earlier?

I've got my scan tomorrow - really hoping the cyst isn't going to cause issues!

@lebe14 How are you getting on? Have you had another scan yet? I'm impatiently waiting for OTD (next Sunday) and - with possibly more excitement - the day I can stop taking Cyclogest (next Saturday) cos it's making me soooo tired! I've added afternoon naps into my daily routine whenever possible 😂

@taytay2020 4 blasts = 4 chances (if needed), which is so so good!!! So great that 8 fertilised too - so clearly the change in protocol helped well! How are you feeling? Good luck for the TWW xx

@Lebe14 The final results are in - 3 frozen embryos! So that's 4 blastocysts from 17 eggs / 14 mature / 8 fertilised. I'm trying not to get my hopes up about this first transfer, but also really getting my hopes up 😂

@taytay2020 yeah defo take it easy over the next couple of days! Binge on crap TV like MAFS Australia (I'm slightly obsessed haha). That's great you have 2 frozen and potentially more tomorrow. Hopefully you won't need them!

I'm feeling okay - totally normal at the moment. 2nd lot of stims at 8:30 tonight! X

@Lebe14 thanks yes it's a relief to have more embryos this time, and better quality ones. They actually froze 2 today in the end - a 5AB and (I think) a 5Bbc. So not quite as good quality, but good enough to keep so I'll take it! They'll call tomorrow about the last couple.
I can already tell it's going to be a nerve-wracking couple of weeks now! I'm so paranoid about every pothole and bump in the road while I'm driving! Gonna try and stay home for the next couple of days I think.

@taytay2020 great results!!! A 5AA is incredible and great to have at least 1 more really good quality in the freezer. Good luck with your transfer later today! X

The results are in! One 5AA, transferring today. One 5AB, will be frozen today. One 5BC which they're binning cos C is too low quality for their criteria. And there are a few others that are too early to tell, so they'll take another look tomorrow and let us know if any are good enough to freeze.

@taytay2020 thank you. Yes, I really hope things go smoothly now and the cyst doesn't cause any issues. I imagine if everything goes to plan the collection will be around 18th. That's the 14th day after starting stims which was the timeline last time. But I guess I may need to stim for a little longer. First injections were fine - more complex than last time but fine. Oh and I have to do 2 😂😂 then on Friday I'll be doing 3!

@Lebe14 Yay! So pleased for you! Hope things go more smoothly from now on and that the cyst doesn't cause any more problems. How was your first injection? Do you have any idea when EC might take place?

We're now waiting for our phone to find out if we have any blastocysts to transfer and freeze today. 🤞

@taytay2020 better news this morning. Oestrogen levels are normal so I started stims tonight ☺️ I thought it was all over! Got another scan on Tuesday so hopefully the cyst will have reduced. Can't notice the cyst at all - would have had no idea - apparently they're very common.

@Lebe14 Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that. It's so hard isn't it - just when you think things are finally happening you get thrown another curveball. I hope you don't have any pain or symptoms from the cyst?

I'm doing ok thanks, it feels like my body is going gradually back to normal now. Still keeping everything crossed for Wednesday.
