@ttcissoboring @EmiGoiko I didn't really have a choice to distance myself as my best friend had her baby 3 weeks before my MMC. I have however distanced myself from people who have announced since we had our loss. The hardest is my cousin who I love like a sister, but she's 2 weeks behind where I would have been and she's having a boy which is what I felt I was having... got to protect ourselves at the end of the day

ttcissoboring · 27/08/2021 22:38

@Babyghirl I'm fine now and got a solid smiley in my sticks today so next few days I shall be giving it my best shot 🤣

Babyghirl · 27/08/2021 22:37

@ttcissoboring
I have been doing it for 3 years now just makes me so in contol of something. How r you feeling 💚
@kiwi17. Tots normal I feel the same sometimes lol.

kiwi17 · 27/08/2021 22:18

Thanks @EmiGoiko @Babyghirl yeah I think DH is just doing my head in!! They've gone now luckily haha

ttcissoboring · 27/08/2021 21:58

@EmiGoiko I have distanced myself from friends with babies the last few weeks. Feel terrible for it but I suffered another loss and just needed to be by myself xx

Babyghirl · 27/08/2021 20:10

@kiwi17
You going through the holiday blues 😢😢😢😢 hope you feel better soon 💚

EmiGoiko · 27/08/2021 19:32

@kiwi17 that's not ideal when you aren't in the mood! Hope they don't stay too long!

kiwi17 · 27/08/2021 19:29

@Spotsmama how you are feeling is completely normal and I think how we have all felt on here at times.

I've been in the worst mood all day today and now I just want to go to bed but my in-laws are downstairs 😖 arghh

EmiGoiko · 27/08/2021 19:29

I'm sorry @Spotsmama I think it's a completely normal way to feel. I also have distanced myself from friends and avoided anyone with babies, I find every baby announcement painful even though I'm happy for them. It's taken me many months and I'm only just starting to reconnect with people, and I'm still finding it hard tbh. I agree with the other girls, the best thing I find is to make lots of plans and have things to look forward to, drink wine and try and do some things just for me. For example I started acupuncture so I felt like I was doing something practical (and I've found it actually really relaxing and theraputic and now it'smy special time every week where I just relax). Just be kind to yourself, don't rush to do anything you aren't ready for and don't feel guilty about anything. Focus on doing what's right for you. Sending love xxx

PeanuttyButter · 27/08/2021 15:49

We are always here to listen and to offer a virtual hug.
They way I started to cope was to remember that wanting and deserving a baby won't make it happen any sooner. Being stressed won't help either. I decided to try and enjoy the now (TTC in the background) and tried to remember when I went backwards, that it will happen eventually (even if it meant fertility treatment) when it's meant to happen and there's nothing more that I can do. Be kind to yourself xxx

Babyghirl · 27/08/2021 15:12

@spotsmama
Quite normal I'm the same as u I lock myself away from everything and anyone baby related don't feel bad for it your only protecting your self so what you have to because if you don't no one else will. 💚

Bundaberg84 · 27/08/2021 13:48

So sorry @Spotsmama - don't feel ashamed to feel that way. It's perfectly normal and the whole journey is so overwhelming, as most of the times we don't really talk about it too much with friends and family so it feels lonely on top of that.
I can only offer my coping strategy if I feel like that - and that is enjoying my life to the fullest with everything I can do that I couldn't do if I were either pregnant or had a child. Eating and drinking whatever I want. Sports that aren't recommended while pregnant. Spontaneous restaurant or bar visits, beauty treatments that you shouldn't do while pregnant (most of them aren't possible while pregnant, my friend found out). And vent! Maybe not to your pregnant friends, but to us!

Spotsmama · 27/08/2021 13:43

Hi all, I am after some helpful words of wisdom and ways to cope with life after a loss and TTC.
I'm 4 months into TTC after 2 mc and a chemical pregnancy this month. I feel horrible for saying it but Im finding it hard to be around friends and pregnant people. All my friends have children so I've not seen any of them for a while now, I'm dreading going back to work after summer as I have collegues who are pregnant and to top it of sister in law is now pregnant. I'm obviolsuy happy for them as all babies are a blessing but I'm doing everything possible where as she is overweight a drinker and smoker. I'm in perfect health and have never smoked and not drank since Christmas. I'm just angry at the world I guess but need to find a way to cope or else I'm never going to leave the house.

PeanuttyButter · 26/08/2021 21:04

@EmiGoiko those lines look great. In fact the test is a dye stealer from the control.
I know what you mean about analysing every little niggle or pain. I don't think I will relax at all so you're not alone. Fingers crossed this is your rainbow too x

EmiGoiko · 26/08/2021 20:13

@kiwi17 your holiday sounds so amazing. So jealous! Sounds like it was just what you needed. Fingers crossed in your tww.

@SLCxxx that's amazing news. Congratulations. I don't think the worry will ever go after what we've been through. But hope you can start to relax soon.

@PeanuttyButter that line looks great and sickness is a good sign there is lot of hormone. I'm keeping everything crossed this is your rainbow.

I'm 5 weeks today. Tests attached, nice and strong which but even so I have to admit I'm freaking out today as having some weird pelvic pain and pain in the legs which reminds me of last time i miscarried (around this time). And having also had a MMC I know tests don't always mean good news (sorry to be a downer). So Im anxious as you can imagine. I am preparing for the worst. I really have no other symptons except for tender boons.

@PeanuttyButter congratulations! I know how nerve wracking it is. 🤞🏻 This is your rainbow 🌈

PeanuttyButter · 26/08/2021 09:47

Thank you for all asking for updates. Will attach the picture of my test this morning from a 25ul test. Think I'm 16dpo which for me Is CD29.
I am very sickly. Which is not like me at all I work in a job (hospital) with lots of smells so I have a very strong stomach. But I nearly threw up this morning rinsing last night's dinner plates. Starting to think it's not a chemical now which is something but super stressing about another MMC. DH is excited I can tell but he's trying not to let it show.

@babyghirl fingers crossed that September is the month for you.

@kiwi17 glad the fertile week is over for you and you've had chance to chill. 6dpo is exciting just get the weekend out the way which always fly's doesn't it.

@Annny27 don't lose hope yet, not all pregnancies are the same. My friend had implantation bleeding with her first but not with her second. Not out until AF shows up!

kiwi17 · 26/08/2021 09:10
