@anoki congratulations!! 🥳 how long have you been TTC since your mc?

anoki · 02/09/2021 14:16

I took a cheapy test this morning and again it came out with nothing, but I was convincing myself I was seeing a line. It was my last one, so I went to boots this lunch because my appetite has gone, no sign of AF and something's just been off.
I'm not going crazy right? There's a line there isn't there? Husband's on a work call and I don't have anyone else to speak to about it and I'm now freaking out!

@kiwi17 I'm sorry for your loss. Awful as it is to say and hear 1 or even 2 miscarriages are so common. In fact, I don't know how many women with several children I know that didn't have 1 miscarriage before or between. Im sure you will be absolutely fine. You have lots of time and since your first pregnancy took 9 months to conceive perhaps you just need a little longer post you MC for optimal conditions. You have had a baby and carried to term. I had many tests done after my second mc and stroke but nothing found just the low protein s. The doctors keep reassuring me about age and saying many women are still having babies at 37-39 but I'm still scared. I know it can take longer as you get older but my sister just had her second at 39 nearly 40 and friends all around me are giving birth at 40. I just fear the worst for me and oh but then I'm very down at the moment and just really looking for someone to tell me it's all going to be ok (which obviously no one really can!).

Bundaberg84 · 02/09/2021 12:26

@PeanuttyButter glad to hear everything is fine so far!! Just try to focus on the facts that the chances of everything turning out fine is a lot higher than not.

@Annny27 so sorry :(

PeanuttyButter · 02/09/2021 12:21

Had my early scan. It's a singleton pregnancy at 5 weeks and it's in the correct place, no ectopic which I was worried about. Obviously no heartbeat as it's too early but got a repeat scan in just over 2 weeks so all being well will be 7.5 ISH at that point. Feel like I can relax for the next day or two but then will be back to stressing. I just hate that my MMC has made me like this. I can't be positive or enjoy it yet it's all I think about!!

PeanuttyButter · 02/09/2021 12:18

@Annny27 sorry AF came, be kind to yourself xx

Annny27 · 02/09/2021 12:09

Period just arrived 💩

So sorry for being shit on here but I am just bored of it all haha. I know my cycle inside out , it's the same every month I convince myself I am pregnant and then get disappointed when she arrives.

Manager to perk myself up for ovulation week and then it's back to depression 💩💩

@ElsieGm3 we have dd who is 3 and took about 9 months ttc but was a straightforward pregnancy but I had a mc at 10 weeks in march after 3 months of ttc #2 and since then have had no bfps. Trying to not think about secondary infertility but it's looking more and more likely that might be the case. It's just the worst we have ever felt and seems so wrong that the first time round was relatively simple and this time it's just not going to happen. If you've had several mc have you been referred to rmc team? Not sure about the age thing although I know it's a big factor - I'm 31 and dh is 30 so at least for us i don't think that's an issue yet. Feel free to ask questions on here everyone is very helpful.

Babyghirl · 02/09/2021 09:45

Well my luck changed this morning girls got an email from curry's pc World I put my name in for the vip PlayStation 5 bundle months ago but was not successful but got and email this morning and I'm successful this time around yeha my man sorted for Christmas get in there on cloud 9 this morning 😁😁😁😁 and his other PlayStation blew up a few weeks back to lol x

ElsieG3m · 02/09/2021 09:45

@Babyghirl thank you so much. I'm so sorry for your losses also and I really hope that the progesterone helps you this time 🤞🏻💛 have you had all of the clotting investigations? Mine revealed nothing but I have low protein s during pregnancy (not outside pregnancy) which makes me "clotty" so I take 75mg aspirin and add heparin if I become pregnant xx

Babyghirl · 02/09/2021 09:39

@ElsieG3m
There's a few on the thread that have had babies and miscarriages after hopefully they will pop along to talk to you. I have only had 4 miscarriages and 1 cp so I'm getting progesterone on my nxt bfp to c if that helps hold on to it so sorry for your losses tlk away on here nothing is ever tmi 💚

anoki · 01/09/2021 18:18

Keeping everything crossed for you that it's a healthy and full pregnancy! It's lovely to see some good news, keep us posted @H0peing !!

I have no idea what dpo I am, I think about 12 if the opks were to be trusted, and I'm having some pregnancy symptoms but I think it's all in my head (extra saliva, period cramps but some in lower stomach, a sure sign for me last time and lack of appetite) but boobs are completely pain free. So I'm just hoping I get my period this weekend, or something to know my cycles are getting back to normal! Very frustrating 😔

SunnySideUp2020 · 01/09/2021 18:06

@H0peing
I was 196 at 13dpo and then 559 48hrs later.
And then 19000 at 21dpo (did a random blood test as i was worried :/)
Sounds promising for you! 🌈

ElsieG3m · 01/09/2021 14:27

Hi all, mind if I join you?

Currently mid-miscarriage conceived after 7 months. We are TTC #2 but with a complex history. Two MCs and a stroke subsequent to a DVT before we had our little girl (though she was a text book pregnancy, born full term, & is happy little 2.5 year old now). The three previous pregnancies happened v quickly (1-2 months of actively trying for each so 7 months for this one came as a bit of a shock but I'm 37 and OH is 44 so maybe the age factor?) I've lost this one v early at about 4.5 weeks.

Wondered if anyone else has had a mix of healthy pregnancies and MCs and whether any treatment has been advised? Eg progesterone? Or is it just a waiting game do you think? Clinging to any hope I can find as pretty distraught at the moment.

H0peing · 01/09/2021 13:33

@PeanuttyButter I'm far from being an expert but it seems like a healthy level to me. Thankfully, you've got your scan tomorrow. Xx

Bundaberg84 · 01/09/2021 13:00

@H0peing that sounds promising!

PeanuttyButter · 01/09/2021 12:46

@H0peing glad things are progressing.
Do you think the 1800 is high? I was cd 33 or 21dpo

H0peing · 01/09/2021 12:29

The EPU just called me and told me that my hcg level from yesterday's blood test was 103. I called Clearblue to find out what the minimum hcg level is for a 2-3 weeks from conception result and she said that it's a minimum of 156 so this pregnancy seems to have progressed between 5.30pm yesterday and around 8am this morning, if the CB test was accurate. I'm only about 13dpo according to CB's ovulation kit so it's still far too early to scan. They've offered to measure my hcg and progesterone levels this Friday anytime between 8.30am and 4.30pm. They said that if I can get in earlier in the day then I might be able to get my results before the end of the day so I'll probably go in my Lunchbreak. Depending on the results, they may offer me a scan at around 5.5/6 weeks. She mentioned that at this stage before having a scan they are unsure where the pregnancy is and that there's the possibility that it's ectopic before they see the pregnancy in the right place so, as always, all I can do is hope that this pregnancy is a healthy one. Xx

Bundaberg84 · 01/09/2021 10:28

That's really promising @H0peing!

H0peing · 01/09/2021 10:22

I tested this morning due to worrying and I know that it definitely isn't always helpful to test but it's changed from 1-2 weeks with Sunday's fmu to 2-3 weeks with this morning's fmu!

Thankfully, my hcg blood test will confirm what level I was at yesterday and the blood test will be the most accurate measurement. Xx

H0peing · 01/09/2021 09:56

@MrsF111 thank-you! I hope you can get tested quickly through the NHS rather than having to pay xxxx

H0peing · 01/09/2021 09:53

@PeanuttyButter the hcg results from my miscarriage went down to 2 the last time they measured them to confirm that pregnancy had ended. They said that I probably won't get the results of yesterday's hcg test until Friday afternoon. I'm definitely not an expert but your levels seem really high for 5 weeks! Glad you could get them checked so quickly! I hope your scan goes really well tomorrow! Xx

H0peing · 01/09/2021 09:31

@anoki thanks xxxx

H0peing · 01/09/2021 09:30

@Spotsmama Scotland sounds exciting! I've visited Edinburgh and thought it was a really beautiful place! Glad that I'll be very busy with work from tomorrow so that will help. We're daydreaming about moving to a beautiful home near a beach but that's probably a long time off, maybe our retirement home or something lol.

Nervousnelly21 · 01/09/2021 09:27

Thank you for the lovely welcome 🤗

I came on my first period (full flow) 4.5 weeks after my MC. It was different to what I'm used to, longer, more days with just brown spotting before & after and more days with heavy flow, guess that's normal!

Hopefully corrects itself in the coming months, glad to have had the first one out the way.

I haven't started with OPKs this time round, just seeing how it goes seen as I'm still a bit nervous! 🙈

Has anyone ever had a fertility tarot reading done? I bought one from pregnancy unicorn on Etsy before this recent pregnancy, it's only about £3.50 you literally just pick a number out and I guess that determines your card. Well she estimated my conception/when I'll see a positive pregnancy test spot on, so I bought another 🤣 this time round she has predicted early feb-March. I wouldn't haven't bothered if the first one was incorrect?! My OH thinks I'm a loon pot honestly!
