🦕 Catching up - ttc after miscarriage part 7 🦕

@kiwi17 glad everything looks great on your scan, even though I know it's frustrating. I feel like I need to fast forward time or something through all this waiting.

All this talk of baby aspirin is making me think, might be something I look into if things don't progress in the next few months.

I know it's weird isn't it but you're right it's that desire to have something to fix rather than it just being really bad luck that it's not working. @EmiGoiko sounds like you're in a similar place with testing to me. Fingers crossed for you! The only plus side was she said I was ovulating soon so at least we have some kind of definite on that front 😂

@kiwi17 glad the scan went well, it does sound reassuring.

But I totally get what you and @H0peing mean. I had some basic blood tests done recently and everything came back normal and I felt disappointed. Its ridiculous of course, it's good everything is fine, but like you I was almost hoping there would be something with an easy fix and then I'd have reasons. Don't get me wrong I'm grateful nothing was found, but you know what I mean.

I got a letter today and have a scan booked for mid Sept checks. So that's good but seems like ages!

Yes, it's always mixed feelings for me as well because I don't want them to find anything wrong with me but I also think that if there was something small that could be easily fixed then it would solve my problem! One of my recent blood tests was for prolactin levels but no results yet. X

@Babyghirl I've already taken today's dose with breakfast but I may try taking them after dinner tomorrow. My gynaecologist definitely recommended having them with a meal. I just find it easier to take all of my tablets in the morning because then if we happen to be out somewhere for dinner I don't have to worry about carrying them with me and keeping them at the right temperature etc (especially during any ocassional hot Summer days).

She definitely recommended taking the progesterone at night though and when I asked her if she recommended any particular 'hole' lol she said that 'back passage' was preferable. She recommended taking the progesterone pessary at night because then you are lying down. I have two per day after peak O so I told her that I was taking one 30 minutes before I get out of bed in the morning and one when I go to bed at night and she said that's fine. X

Good news about the appointment @Babyghirl!

Just had my ultrasound and she said everything looked fine and there's a dominant follicle on my right ovary but the left looks fine as well (said I always only feel like I ovulate on the right) so it's reassuring to know I am ovulating and working properly just got to wait for my repeat bloods to check prolactin now and then dh having his sperm analysis. Does anyone else feel that weird mix of relief that things are fine but also frustration that nothing is 'wrong' that can be fixed?!

I read up on aspirin When's the best time to take them and it says night time but when I was on another thread the girls on that said night is what there consultant says to them as I knw we r not taking them for heart attacks but most happen during the night so moat be when clots form when ur lying in bed girls xx

@H0peing I take two 75mg tablets every morning and have done since March when the consultant told me too. I just buy a couple of packets at a time from places like Savers or Home Bargains. Really hoping it works.

Well got an app through for my results with my rmc consultant for the 15th of September feels like ages away lol 💚

@EmiGoiko Yes, she said to take the whole dose in one go so I can take two 75mg tablets at once. She didn't tell me what time to take it but just said it's really important to have them with / just after a meal. I was told that I can buy low dose aspirin without a prescription and I guess it's probably cheaper for me to do it that way because I pay for my prescriptions. X

@Babyghirl I just spoke to my doctor to check and she said that I can take it everyday as hopefully it will help to support the next pregnancy after my current bleeding has stopped, which I think it has today so I'm planning to take it every day too. X

I got told its better to take at night time to yea take it all at once that's what I'm doing anyway can't do any hard lol.

@Babyghirl hard not to overanalyse isn't it! Crossed my mind could be implantation but likely being to hopeful. Seems to have gone this morning....it was probably indigestion lol

Also I read about a study the other day that said women that take asprin every day, not just after bfp had better outcomes. So definitely worth us trying!

I was told to take it only after a bfp but I knw people who get ivf take it from the start or after etf so going to start taking it after ovulation hopefully it will help will blood flow on the dip in my urters.

@Babyghirl She doubled my aspirin dose from 75mg to 150mg, telling me to take 2 instead of 1 and to make sure that I have them after food and I think she said to take aspirin every day now but she said there would be a written report for my GP so I'll ring her tomorrow to get a copy of it and double check that part when I check my blood test results. I was previously told to only take aspirin from bfp. X

@kiwi17 Yes, sounds like you got a referral through the NHS. I really hope it's helpful for you. Saved a lot of money that way! I went through the long list of tests that I've had so far when I had my consultation with the gynaecologist and checked the cost online and it looks like it would be around £1350 privately! Thankful for the NHS right now! I know they're not perfect but at least they're free. X

It's now 150mg of asprin they recommend to take so I have started taking it lol. It was a chicken curry pie was great, June cycle I had bad cramps cd21 so of course I thought it was implementation cramps but obviously not cause I'm still here lol.

I'm also interested in the asprin. A midwife told me to try it after my second miscarriage and so I've started taking 75mg as soon as I ovulated. I thought I'd read they'd up'd the amount so now not sure whether to go up to 150mg (given I'm self prescribing 🙄)

I have really bad crampy pains this evening. Never had anything like this at this stage in my cycle or for any of the other pregnancys. It just doesn't feel right, I think my body is just seriously messed up. Anyone ever had this? 😕
