I meant *knew up there, not nee

@Kay00 imagine 😭

I don’t know what pink tinged CM and cramps means for you, but keep us posted.

Kay00 · 10/10/2021 20:15

@thislittlebird haha 😄 let's hope at least one of those eggs is clever enough to get fertilised. The last thing you need is to give birth to tweedle dee and tweedle dumb 😂

AF hasn't shown just yet, but im still getting mild cramps on and off and pink tinged CM.

thislittlebird · 10/10/2021 20:08

@Kay00 yeah I felt a little like that, I kinda nee. But you’re not out until AF arrives and all that. Yep, cycle 2 is in the tww now, I suppose. I triggered on Friday. Been having a lot of left ovary cramps today, let’s hope those two dumb eggs come out.

Kay00 · 09/10/2021 15:08

@thislittlebird hi! I'm on 11DPO and waiting for AF to show. I was living in hope this cycle so did an IC last night and got a BFN. I know it could still be too early to test at 10DPO but I just don't think it has been successful. I am feeling quite down about it, but don't have the space to mope (sis in law is living with me and there are 10 dogs to look after) so I am decorating to keep myself busy. Are you on your 2nd Letrozole cycle now?

thislittlebird · 09/10/2021 14:50

@Tillybabs it was a crap day, but weirdly I felt better after the trigger. Migraine had time to go I guess.

@Kay00 how’s the clomid going? I took the failure of my letrozole round quite hard but it was sort of slow to sink in, it sucks when another intervention fails I guess. I’m very sick of going for scans this month, I’m shattered, but I’m done now for a few weeks although I might go back for a blood test.

Tillybabs · 08/10/2021 18:55

Thanks ladies! I'm very happy and just hope they stick

@thislittlebird it's the worst when you aren't in the mood but you have to dtd. It feels robotic. But I hope it's worth it this round for you x

Kay00 · 08/10/2021 18:08

@tillybabs 4 is great!! How bloody exciting xx ❤

@thislittlebird hopefully your two follicles will give you double the chances 🤞🤞

paintfairy · 08/10/2021 13:41

@Tillybabs 4 is a great number! Brilliant news.

beckyCarlos · 08/10/2021 12:59

@Tillybabs thats amazing! Well done!! @thislittlebird sorry you feel so naff, hope you feel better soon x

thislittlebird · 08/10/2021 12:28

Great news @Tillybabs! I would be very happy with 4 embryos.

I have my two follicles ready to go, they gave me a trigger but I have a migraine and I really don’t fancy taking it plus having to dtd. Not great but will have to get on with it.

Tillybabs · 08/10/2021 08:41

Morning ladies.

I just got my update and I have 4 embryos that made it to blastocyst and are good quality.

They will now be frozen and my next step will be to have the hysterocopy and MRI

I'm really happy with that result especially given my age.

I know I still have a long road ahead but so happy I have some to work with.

paintfairy · 07/10/2021 13:17

@Tillybabs I actually think this bit is potentially more nerve racking than the 2ww?! Sounds good though so far, but yeah its a bit stressful just waiting. Not much longer though xx

Tillybabs · 07/10/2021 09:27

Morning

Ive had an update and 2 two embryos have made it to blastocyst stage and 3 others are a day behind which she did say is common.

Tomorrow they will check, grade ones that make it and let me know if I have any to freeze.

I hate this stage! The nerves are horrible

thislittlebird · 06/10/2021 20:01

@paintfairy yeah I’m short protocol because I’ve got high AMH. I think we’ve done everything already tbh, except the drugs stuff, because we were due to start in September and then put it all on hold when the nhs told us 2-3 months.. I’ve text my doctor to ask what’s possible, I’ll see what he says.

paintfairy · 06/10/2021 19:30

@Juno231 2 bleeds? Why?
@thislittlebird I think to be honest you might as well wait until January. The clinics do shut down for Christmas and they won't risk doing anything near it. I started down reg on Saturday. But if it delays my AF then this whole process could carry on to December. So if I had waited one more cycle it might have been too late to start. So by the time you get seen, paperwork sorted, and are the right time in your cycle, you might have missed it anyway. Unless you do short protocol, then you might just catch it, but you don't get a choice in the matter.

thislittlebird · 06/10/2021 16:39

@Juno231 I don't have any appointments, they just said we're on the waiting list when we met with them in August. I contacted them this week because the Christmas closure dawned on me and they basically said they're on late June patients now, I'm an end of August patient. So that takes me to January, because the Christmas pause is Nov 30th-Dec 27th. My cycles are late in the month so we're really talking a collection in February and a transfer in April, because I'll likely need a freeze all, and I'll be 39 in May. That's a long time. It's a year after I told myself we'd start looking at/starting IVF. I gave myself a deadline of April this year, clearly that went out the window.

Don't get me wrong, I don't WANT to do a self-funded cycle with my clinic because they're not cheap, and it's awful value for money outside of an access package, but what's the point in paying for two cycles if i have an NHS one lined up as back up? I think we might need to take the hit, if they can fit us in.

What's the thing about two bleeds?

Juno231 · 06/10/2021 16:20

@thislittlebird would you not have any appointments before the new year with the NHS? Mine is end of this month for a Jan start as they usually close over the Xmas period and need to wait until the second bleed to start treatment (at least that's what my clinic said!). So if you don't have a meeting until Jan your timeline might actually be end of Feb/early March? All of a sudden that would push it to a 5 month wait and I'd consider private in the interim in that case (if you can afford it)

thislittlebird · 06/10/2021 16:04

I’m not sure whether to do a private round or not. My nhs round is not going to be until the new year now which is pretty upsetting. My friend said it’s not worth it for a few months but she’s not infertile and I am, she had her kids before she was 39, I’m looking at not starting ivf until then. I don’t know if I can do a few more months just waiting and waiting for an unknown date in the future when we’ll get to try. I hate all of this so much, and I hate how slow my clinic is.

thislittlebird · 06/10/2021 10:48

@Tillybabs making me come back again on Friday for another scan 😑. Commuting here is very annoying I won’t lie. I have to do OPKs in the meantime in case I get a surge.

Tillybabs · 06/10/2021 10:29

@thislittlebird did they give an idea of what they might do?

thislittlebird · 06/10/2021 09:45

Had my scan for cycle 2 of letrozole. Two follicles this time, 20mm and 14.5mm on day 8, but because it’s only day 8 I have 6.4mm lining (although it is triple layer). I’m waiting to see what they decide to do with me.

thislittlebird · 03/10/2021 13:45

@dogmam nothing different, just a scan timed differently because I seem to respond fairly fast. They’re trying to trigger me with two follicles, last month I only had one mature so this month’s quantity remains to be seen. I think they won’t trigger if I have 3 or more.

Yeah, I really have doubts about how seriously some doctors take the progesterone issue. I’ve been on b6 before which increases progesterone and I had sore boobs that month. Now maybe I actually ovulated that month and on others I don’t, but not getting any bodily changes at all on the progesterone worries me. If I get tested this month and my progesterone is still super low I’m going to ask for more for the ivf round. If the nhs clinic won’t increase my dose or give me the injections I’m going to ask my private clinic to do it for me, I don’t see why they wouldn’t if they know my history. Good point about asking to pay, Guys definitely have a private wing too.

paintfairy · 03/10/2021 12:05

@Tillybabs I'm impressed they called on a Sunday too! I think 9 is pretty good, I'd be happy with that.

dogmam · 03/10/2021 11:51

@Lori23TTC @Tillybabs just reading your updates, hope you're both feeling better after egg collection. Fingers crossed for good news, hopfully you get a day 3 and a day 5 update from the embryologist. Personally for me, this was the hardest part of the whole ivf, waiting to hear how your embryos are getting on. It was harder than the two week wait and even the result, which sounds crazy. I didn't sleep or eat a lot due to the anxious wait, it's likely you'll have drop off but that's completely normal. From 19 eggs collected I only ended up with 2 frozen but I now feel very lucky with that. Hope you can keep busy whilst waiting xx

@thislittlebird good luck starting round 2, will anything be done differently? Good point about checking progesterone ahead of ivf.

I am waiting to hear back from the clinic on when I can start by second FET. I want to ask for a change of protocol this time after a recent study has been done suggesting progestorone support via injection has much higher success rates compared with progestorone support from pessaries alone. I know they'll say no but I'm going to try and insist and will pay even though it's an nhs round.
