Some of us are waiting for initial appointments, some are having tests and some are starting treatment!

@PurpleUnicorn01 just wondering, does she have PCOS? Because usually the FSH and LH are very similar and a disparity can be a sign.

PurpleUnicorn01 · 23/09/2021 17:51

@thislittlebird she said LH levels 1.7
FSH 6.5
Oestradiol 188

And also thanks for your help x

PurpleUnicorn01 · 23/09/2021 16:45

@dogmam hope you're doing okay. Sending you hugs x

PurpleUnicorn01 · 23/09/2021 16:16

@Tillybabs even if you can't eat. Stay hydrated x

Tillybabs · 23/09/2021 16:13

Thanks ladies I hope they are sufficient!

Anyone else taking or taken it Gonal F found they are less? I'm feeling full quickly

thislittlebird · 23/09/2021 16:11

@PurpleUnicorn01 no worries. Her low AMH might qualify her for IVF as long as it’s not too long (they have a cut off of 5 something, I think?).

@Tillybabs that’s a good number!

PurpleUnicorn01 · 23/09/2021 15:55

@Tillybabs that's great news x

Tillybabs · 23/09/2021 15:27

Hi ladies

Just a quick update. I had a scan and have 14 follicles. 10 in one and 4 in the other. Starting cetrotide on Saturday!

PurpleUnicorn01 · 23/09/2021 15:24

@thislittlebird i know she has low AMH il find out about progestrone. Thank you for your help

thislittlebird · 23/09/2021 14:50

@PurpleUnicorn01 no, they mostly ignored this issue and definitely didn’t think it was a problem. But clearly I don’t ovulate properly and I’m now Letrozole with a private clinic. We were referred for ivf based on male factor.

If I were her I would try asking for a trigger injection with the clomid (or Letrozole), I’m assuming she didn’t have one? And see if she can get progesterone too. My levels were very low, are hers do you know?

PurpleUnicorn01 · 23/09/2021 14:36

Yes she tried clomid and got a faint positive. She's just had her tests done to see what treatment they recommend. Did they refer you straight for ivf?

thislittlebird · 23/09/2021 14:30

@PurpleUnicorn01 yeah I have an LH and FSH level of 1.something. Did they tell her she doesn’t ovulate properly? That’s interesting because everyone just said my levels were fine and clearly I do not ovulate properly.

PurpleUnicorn01 · 23/09/2021 14:11

Hi ladies

Quick question for a friend have any of you had a low LH level. Hers is 1.7 so doesn't ovulate properly.

Thank you

PurpleUnicorn01 · 22/09/2021 10:10

@dogmam im so sorry to hear your update x sending you lots of love x

Juno231 · 22/09/2021 09:46

@Jazlyi you'd have to either be referred by the GP or go privately to a fertility clinic for clomid. The weight limits (usually 30 BMI) is normally for IVF but depending on your size you could be turned down for clomid too. I think the worry is usually how well you'd respond to medication and also the difficulty in accurately scanning you - putting you at risk of OHSS for instance. I second the metformin suggestion.

@dogmam I am so so sorry it came to this. It's so unfair. I hope you're as okay as can be and that OH is taking good care of you. Take the time to grieve.

@kay00 TEN DOGS?! That sounds messy but also like puppy heaven. Got any pics??

pinkginpls · 22/09/2021 09:31

@dogmam so sorry to hear this. sending all my love. xxx

Kay00 · 22/09/2021 00:29

@dogmam so sorry to hear about your hcg levels xxx I guess they wouldn't insist you keep taking the meds if there wasn't a chance of a viable pregnancy xx

@jazlyi it's unlikely a GP will prescribe Clomid as the fertility clinic will want to monitor you (scans etc) to see if you are ovulating. Do you know if you ovulate?

I have PCOS and have been given Metformin. It helps regulate your cycle and can help reduce weight so is offered to women with PCOS. Perhaps you could tell to your GP about this?

@juno231 life with the SIL is busy!! Its hard having someone else in your house, esp. When her dog has 7 puppies 😅 🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕 (I now have 10 dogs in my house!)

Jazlyi · 22/09/2021 00:07

Hi girls, i just want to ask now i Know my GP need to recommend me to fertility clinic
But one more question
It is some criteria there about weight? Or something else?
I have Pcos and My BMI its highest
I just want to try Clomid first as I already had IVF but not in the England but we failed..
So i am Not sure if i am not too fat😀😀😀 I already been in fertility clinic in the UK
3-4 years ago but I remember they always talk just about weight i am Not sure if i amble to gey Clomid because of my weight

BritInNZ · 21/09/2021 23:10

I had a pelvic ultrasound last week and today was told I have a septate uterus. It does say it's a normal variant so I'm hoping it's not too bad. Now have to wait for referral to a gynaecologist who will decide if I need surgery or not. It's kind of a blessing because it can cause recurrent miscarriages, but I haven't been able to get pregnant yet. I'd rather be in this situation than keep having miscarriages. Anyone had something similar?

I have private fertility appointment next week which I will still go to so I can get AMH, 21 day bloods and SA results, and will take the septate uterus report with me too.

paintfairy · 21/09/2021 22:54

@dogmam I'm so sorry to read your update. That's really unfair. I do hope you are OK xxx

PurpleUnicorn01 · 21/09/2021 22:21

@dogmam how are you getting on?

How are you all?

thislittlebird · 21/09/2021 22:13

Ah no @dogmam I’m really sorry to hear this. I would hate taking the meds too, it’s hugely upsetting. Did the clinic say much else?

beckyCarlos · 21/09/2021 22:04

Oh @dogmam I'm so sorry. It must feel so counter intuitive to still be taking the hormones. Sending all my love x x x

Tillybabs · 21/09/2021 21:54

@dogmam oh hun I'm sorry to read this, I really hope that's not the case.

dogmam · 21/09/2021 21:30

Update from me..
Unfortunately despite my BFPs it seems I am having a very early miscarriage (hate the term 'chemical pregnancy'). After my positive tests very slightly got darker, yesterday it didn't change, I went to the clinic for bloods and they finally got back to me this afternoon to say my hcg level is just 16. To me this isn't a viable pregnancy as levels should be way higher now yet they are making me go back in a weeks time for a repeat blood test. I have to continue on eastrogen and progesterone which I'm upset about as to be honest I just want this to end now and my period to come so that I can move on, but feel like it's cruel being kept in this limbo when we know what the outcome will be. That's not me being negative, I just knew as soon as we tested on 9dpt that it wasn't right and when my clinic told me congratulations it didn't feel right. Still getting positive tests but just going to stop testing and I guess wait until next week Sad
