Awh @SkeletonSkins I’m so sorry 😢 it must be soul destroying for you to keep going through that. But like everyone has said at least you are more informed now. Hopefully the next one is the one for you

Urgh so sorry @SkeletonSkins ... like HRP said the positive is you know more, but it doesn't make it any less frustrating. Hope you had a relaxing evening last night xxxx

Peachycream · 04/07/2021 08:38

I decided to do an OPK this morning, which I haven’t bothered with all cycle so I’m not really sure why. Trouble is, I’m now not sure if it’s coming down after ovulation or rising ready for ovulation 😂

Premom says I should be in my fertile window on the first day of my peak 2 days. However, looking at my chart from last month, today would have been my ovulation day, so I can only assume it’s coming down after O as it’s only 0.4 so surely far too low when O is expected in 2 days time.

Not that it matters, we haven’t done anything this cycle and don’t plan to, I’m gonna have to test tomorrow as well now aren’t I 😂 what a knobhead

I’m sorry @SkeletonSkins ☹️ I hope you ate the whole box of chocolates last night! I think the positive you take from it at least you know. If you were just using OPKs you’d be none the wiser! At least now you can keep on temping for your ovulation dip and rise. ❤️

Eli707 · 04/07/2021 08:14

@SkeletonSkins so sorry - I can't imagine how frustrating that must be. Sending love your way - hope it happens soon

SkeletonSkins · 04/07/2021 06:30

Massive temp drop for me today, failed ovulation :( I’m gutted, hate PCOS so much.

Mrsspoon3 · 03/07/2021 22:42

Thanks @SkeletonSkins! That’s good it doesn’t mean I’m definitely out. It’s so hard waiting each month to find out isn’t it?

SkeletonSkins · 03/07/2021 22:34

@Mrsspoon3 no not at all, in fact some people talk about an ‘implantation dip’ in temps at around 5dpo so it could even be that! But don’t think there’s any hard evidence that that’s a real thing haha!

Mrsspoon3 · 03/07/2021 21:20

That sounds a good strategy @SkeletonSkins! I’m regretting buying pregnancy test already as it’s too tempting to use them all! 😂

Mrsspoon3 · 03/07/2021 21:19

Thanks @HRP1990 and @SkeletonSkins, that’s helpful to know! Obviously all charts are different as you say, but you think it’s a bad sign if my temp went down after rising? This is my chart…

🧙Witch day did I ovulate?!🧙
SkeletonSkins · 03/07/2021 20:49

Yes generally if your temp goes higher it can be a good sign of pregnancy, but equally I’ve seen graphs where the temp has been up and down after ovulation and they’ve been pregnant so think nothing really rules you out! Your temp will drop generally the day before or day of AF though so that’s a sign.

I’ve not ordered any preg tests yet in the hope I can delay myself doing it too early but not sure wjo I’m kidding lol

HRP1990 · 03/07/2021 20:38

@SkeletonSkins No it’s not sad 😂 I’ve drank once the whole month since I’ve been temping haha

@Mrsspoon3 I thought that was the case.. I’m sure all the other ladies will be able to verify this or not 😬 this is only my first month tracking BBT!

Mrsspoon3 · 03/07/2021 20:18

@HRP1990 Haha so true! Who knew it could be so addictive to poas! I’m impressed with your self control! Are you more likely to get higher temps if you’re pregnant? I didn’t know that! I know they obviously stay higher for longer if you’re pregnant, but I didn’t know the actual temperature meant anything, so long as it’s over the cover line/higher than pre-ovulation temps.

SkeletonSkins · 03/07/2021 17:35

@glasspaw oh that’s so rubbish he can’t come in with you! Glad you’ve got the scan booked, and he can attend that. So exciting for you!! If I’m lucky enough to get pregnant I’ll absolutely be booking a private scan!

@HRP1990 haha I don’t really drink but I’ve got a box of chocs to take with me tonight so that will definitely be a well earnt treat!! Is it sad that I also avoid drinking cause it’ll mess up my BBT chart 😂😂

HRP1990 · 03/07/2021 17:17

@glasspaw I posted too soon! Glad he can come to a private one! I’m obvs not there yet, but I’d probably book a private one too as I’m impatient lol

Also I’m probably about to jinx myself here.. but I’ve guzzled a shit load of water this past week 👀

HRP1990 · 03/07/2021 17:15

@Mrsspoon3 like you said it’s probably too early to know, but sometimes you need to poas to get it out your system 😂 I’m going to try and hold out for 🧙🏻‍♀️ unless my bbt chart gives me some high temps towards next week!

Congrats @SkeletonSkins sounds like you deserve some wine for.. ovulating, passing your exams and looking after a 2 kids 😂🍷

That’s such a shame he can’t come with you @glasspaw! Hopefully he can come to a scan like @KayL1988 said 🤞

glasspaw · 03/07/2021 17:13

@KayL1988 we’ve booked a 10 week private scan which he can definitely come in for. At the moment it seems to depend which hospital you go to as to whether partners are allowed into nhs hospitals for scans, so we figured at least if we booked a private one first then he can be there for the first one.

Loads of nausea but not much actual sickness which is good. Also mega thirsty, but craving salty food which makes the thirst worse haha.

@SkeletonSkins congrats on getting the assessment done! That’s a long time to be working towards something!

KayL1988 · 03/07/2021 17:01

Oh my god that's great news @SkeletonSkins !!! 3 years of a qualification is such a long time, perfect timing as well as lockdown is ending!

Peachycream · 03/07/2021 16:56

Oh wow well extra congratulations to you @SkeletonSkins! 🎉
It must be a relief that it’s all done now. On to bigger and better things for you!

KayL1988 · 03/07/2021 16:52

Oh no @glasspaw that is sad he can't come with you! Hopefully he'll be able to come to the scan though??

Yeah stretching feeling freaks me out! No itchy skin, but definitely thirstier than I've ever been! Have you had much sickness?

Your right @HRP1990 apparently it's your uterus starting to stretch out.... which is very strange when you think about it!

SkeletonSkins · 03/07/2021 16:34

@Peachycream thank you for your combined good luck and congratulations, I’m glad it’s over as it was the final assessment in a three year qualification and means I can now look forward to the future!

Busy day for me, been for a nice walk and then tackled the weeds in the front garden, babysitting my friends two children tonight so maybe I’ll regret TTC after that 😂😂

glasspaw · 03/07/2021 16:06

@KayL1988 the stretching cramps are so odd. I also found my skin has started to get really itchy on my stomach and boobs so I’ve had to moisturise every day to stop it from being unbearable. Feels a bit early for that but looking online some people do seem to be particularly sensitive to it!

I’m having a very tired day today. Heading into week 8 tomorrow and this is the most exhausted I’ve felt so far. I have my booking in appointment with the midwife this week. Partner isn’t allowed to come in cause of Covid :( feels so sad that he can’t be there.

Peachycream · 03/07/2021 14:46

I’m okay @HRP1990 I’m just having an early onset midlife crisis I think 😂 nothing seems to be coming up peachy……and hasn’t for a few years haha

OP posts:
Mrsspoon3 · 03/07/2021 13:53

@Sparklingwine1 my temperature changes are quite similar to yours if I get up for a wee a few hours earlier, but they seem to be quite consistent if taken at the same time each morning (even if I’ve been up for a wee 2 or 3 hours earlier). I’d go for the 7.30 one if that’s the time your normally take it!

@HRP1990 I’ll tell you something ridiculous - I actually did a test this morning even though there’s no chance it would show up as positive just yet! 😂 Since my chemical in May I promised myself I wouldn’t test early again and I didn’t test at all the next month, but I was too tempted today as I bought loads of cheap tests the other week, and also I’m been having loads of discharge (sorry TMI) which I also had the month I tested positive and had my chemical, so it got my hopes up. I think in a weird way I tested to know that I wasn’t pregnant (even though it’s too early to know) so I didn’t get my hopes up and end up disappointed! Trying not to test now though until/if I’m late!
How about you?

HRP1990 · 03/07/2021 13:50

@KayL1988 I think the stretching feeling is literally everything stretching inside lol or so I’ve read!

I get why they make you wait, however it’s such a vulnerable time! You’d think they’d want to give you the reassurance/guidance/whatever it is you need in those first few weeks?

@Peachycream well I’m happy to have my ear chewed off if you need it!
