Any news on the tiny person front? I don’t know what I’m expecting to be honest, it’s not like he/she can pass notes out of your foof 😂

Forgot to mention earlier, all my test results were fine except the progesterone one I had last week. The doc thinks that's why I keep getting chemicals.
Hopefully I can sort it with dietary changes and supplements. I'm thinking of taking a wee hiatus from ttc after this cycle until all my hormones are sorted. Otherwise it is just heartache each month.

80sPadme · 04/07/2021 13:04

How is everyone, I'm having a mad day at work, well it's been a busy old week really. Hope you are all well.
I'm CD9 if I have any cycle buddies out there??

Also @Sparklingwine1 you will probably still be able to see a pattern even if you aren’t able to take temps at the same time every day, although it won’t be as obvious. When I first started I took my temps at all sorts of times between 4.30am and 10am!! It was very rocky and I did have to override the ovulation date they put in as they put it before my peak on the opk so thought it was probably wrong by a day, but think you can definitely still see the difference with my post ovulation temps. I started taking at same time next month and it worked much better (I’ve attached both and think you can see which is which 😂) but if all else fails and they can’t be taken at same time, you should still be able to see the shift. If that helps at all.

So sorry to hear that @SkeletonSkins, that must be really frustrating! It must be hard finding time to keep dtd also. Keeping my fingers crossed you’ll ovulate soon! Glad you’re feeling better about it.

That looks normal to me @Sparklingwine1! I didn’t enjoy temping that much to begin with either, but I actually love it now haha. I love being able to see what’s happening in my body and find it amazing you can see so much from a temperature! I actually wish I’d started before ttc now haha.

SareBear87 · 04/07/2021 11:02

@HRP1990 and @SkeletonSkins that properly made me chuckle, and I totally agree, ovulation seems to be a magical unicorn 😂

I don't know why but I find myself wondering how on earth women in Tudor or Victorian times nailed this! I mean maybe Henry VIII didn't need 6 wives, maybe he was just DTD at the wrong time 😂🤣😅

Sparklingwine1 · 04/07/2021 10:30

Ah thanks ladies.... good to know it looks normal! Yes I will definitely use the convertor I think to make it more accurate

HRP1990 · 04/07/2021 10:21

@Sparklingwine1 I just had a look at my BBT around 🧙🏻‍♀️and mine was the same, between 0.9-0.7 so looks okay to me (no expert but just in comparison to mine!)

I’ve used a BBT adjuster when I’ve woken earlier or later than the usual time, and adjusted my temperature slightly to fit. Maybe pick a time you’ll stick to and adjust the others to that? Just a thought!

SkeletonSkins · 04/07/2021 10:06

@Sparklingwine1 looks totally normal and usual to me :)

Peachycream · 04/07/2021 10:04

That’s a point, we’re almost at the end of another thread!

@SkeletonSkins well at least you can see what’s going on to some extent and you have an idea as to what’s happening so you can keep doing your best, you just gotta keep positive that it will happen.

As for the thermometer on my phone, knowing me I’d probably just move it off and still forget about it, it’s really hard to break a habit you’ve been doing your entire adult life 😂 I’ll remember one day, it’s just who knows when that day will be!

I'm a bit behind ladies- just catching up whilst I have my Sunday morning coffee in my PJs! ☕️☺️

Thanks for the advice on my temping @SkeletonSkins @Mrsspoon3 and @HRP1990
It wasn't a post ov temp as I was only CD 8 🤔 tbh I actually felt a bit unwell yesterday as if I may be coming down with something and I did wonder if that would effect it.

Im not finding the temping very fun yet (i was so excited to start!) but I think it's because I don't understand it yet 😂😂 However now i'm going to test every day between 6:30-7:30am and not stress. Thank god for all you ladies on here otherwise I'd have no idea what I'm doing. I've attached my graph so far - not sure how normal this is!! All temps were taking in the morning but at different times (from between like 4:30am and 8am).

@SkeletonSkins so sorry your graphs and levels are being pesky and causing you grief ☹️
Me and my DH are not 'everyday' people either. We work too much and are too exhausted to keep that up so I really feel for you having to keep the rate up. They do say though every 3 days should be enough I think? Because sperm can live for up to 5 days
@Peachycream I put the themometer on top of my phone so I can’t forget 😂

I’d say you’re more likely to be pre ov than post ov then, based on your previous cycles, but who knows 😂

Feel like we’re ten pages in and still asking the bloody thread title 😂
One thread and 37 pages in and no one know when they’re ovulating 😂🧙🏻‍♀️

@Peachycream I think twice so far this cycle, I’ve circled in the picture where I have a decrease in temp followed by a rise. The problem is the temperatures need to stay high, so that’s how I know it failed as they drop back.

I normally have around 5 days between attempts, so it’s possible that my body is gearing up to get again in the next day or so. I’m wondering if I would have got a peak opk if I’d have tested yesterday during the day time, as I’ve never had a remotely positive opk late at night cause I drink constantly. So I have to wonder whether I’d have got a peak CD 26 indicating that I’ll ovulate today/tomorrow, or at least attempt! That would link with the temp dip.

ANYWAY if nothing else it’s an interesting science experiment haha you can literally see how temps show us what the body is doing which is cool. I’ve DTD today in case I do have another go, and jsut got to keep positive. I feel a lot better now compared to first thing this morning so thanks for letting me moan guys.

Peachycream · 04/07/2021 09:06

@HRP1990 yeah I did buy one, I’d been meaning to use it the entire month and leaving the OPK tracking, trouble is my alarm goes off and it’s instant that I get up and go and make a coffee, then while the kettle is boiling I think…….fuck! I forgot! 😂

OP posts:
HRP1990 · 04/07/2021 09:03

@Peachycream I think carrying DTD and hope for the best as who knows what’s going on/where you are in your cycle! 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

Did you buy a thermometer? You could start doing your temps if you did buy one just out of curiosity!

Peachycream · 04/07/2021 09:00

@HRP1990 I don’t know to be honest I only tracked last month so I only have that to go off of. Trouble is, like I said the other day as I hadn’t been looking out for anything I’ve not noticed any symptoms so for all I know 🧙 could be due tomorrow 😂

My rise last month started at 0.4 then rose to 0.8 the next day and then peaked at 1.6something, then dropped back to 0.8 and was 0 the day after O so going off of that I’m none the wiser 😂

OP posts:
Peachycream · 04/07/2021 08:56

@SkeletonSkins trouble is, last month I had a slow ride, it took like 3 days to peak, I’d assume it to be the same this month? I was fully expecting that it had already happened and my OPK would be my usual just above 0…..but no 😂

How many attempts have you had this month? You’re right though, at least you know not to expect 🧙 so that you don’t get your hopes up when she doesn’t turn up, that probably doesn’t make you feel any better though

OP posts:
HRP1990 · 04/07/2021 08:55

@SkeletonSkins exactly! You could be waiting for 🧙🏻‍♀️ And when she didn’t arrive you’d be getting your hopes up!

I see a lot of people bin the tracking, and just DTD every 2/3 days that way you’re covered whatever happens. It’ll also make you less stressed I would have thought x

HRP1990 · 04/07/2021 08:51

@Peachycream Is your O like clockwork or you haven’t tracked enough to know? I ovulated 5 days earlier than last month 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t know if this helps you, but my OPKs were 0.23 before my high/peak and 0.48 after

SkeletonSkins · 04/07/2021 08:48

@Peachycream from my experience of studying peoples OPKs 😂 I think they absolutely can go from 0.4 to positive quite quickly, some people get a sudden rush.

SkeletonSkins · 04/07/2021 08:47

Sorry that should say I got EWCM yesterday which is obviously unlikely after ovulation

SkeletonSkins · 04/07/2021 08:47

Thanks all, tbh I had a feeling anyway as I got EWCM anyway and then randomly did an OPK last night after drinking plenty etc and it was 0.7 something which is insanely high for me late at night when I’m mega hydrated. Also my skin has gone awful which happens when I’m working towards ovulation.

Tbh my main issue is having to keep up DTD, if I knew I’d definitely ovulate at a certain time I wouldn’t mind waiting but it’s the not knowing until after you’ve put the effort in so to speak 😂 Anyway, my life is lovely with or without a baby, I’m very lucky, so I just need to relax a bit and if I ovulate, great. If not, we keep going.

@HRP1990 it really has highlighted the danger of OPKs with PCOS. I’ve had every sign - EWCM, positive opk, some pain, and then it’s failed. If I wasn’t temping I’d be expecting AF in two weeks and testing when she didn’t arrive, that would be more heartbreaking I think, being late but no positive test. At least now I know not to expect her!
