@October1979 probably best to wait if you didn't feel ready anyway, it's so hard to know! Hope you're doing ok

@Babyghirl hi and welcome, sorry to hear of your losses. I was taking aspirin for two months but have pretty much stopped everything this month including tracking as none of it worked amd I'm finally getting my gynae appointment tomorrow!

@Lastyearttc that's great news about it more than doubling and the scan 🤞🏻 for you

@babyreds1518 welcome, four months in is definitely not long, I've been told not to start counting af until the first day of full flow. You can speak to your doc after 6 months of trying to request tests though

@ponymum1980 congratulations!

@Mattieandmummy so sorry, it's so hard to take the repeat getting your hopes up then them being dashed again

babyreds1518 · 22/08/2021 15:44

@Geriatric1234 Hi! No I haven't been checked for that.. I looked up the signs, not sure I really have any of that tbh

Catconfusion · 22/08/2021 11:57

Oh no @Mattieandmummy I’m so sorry to hear this. It’s such a heartbreaking thing to go through. I hope you’re ok. Cake sounds like a great idea. Xx

Mattieandmummy · 22/08/2021 10:49

Thanks everyone just took myself off to the covid walk-in clinic as a distraction, now going to get cake.

October1979 · 22/08/2021 10:00

I'm sorry @Mattieandmummy it's so cruel when that happens. Sending you lots of love.

Congratulations @ponymum1980 hope everything goes well for you.

Geriatric1234 · 22/08/2021 09:47

@ponymum1980 YAAAYYYY!!!! ❤️❤️

Geriatric1234 · 22/08/2021 09:42

@Babyghirl welcome! We’ll let you off the couple of years as the challenges really are all the same anyway! There’s an over 35 TTC thread full of lovely women too if you’re interested. www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/4307394-TTC-35-Thread-12?msgid=109660416

@Mattieandmummy oh I’m so sorry. Sending you lots of love xxx

babyreds1518 · 22/08/2021 08:17

@Jem1979 I’m not sure if I’m working this right.. not sure I saw your full message but thank you v much for replying! We have has sex on the flashing smileys (2 days), then the 3 days from the static smiley. It’s totally taken the fun out of it! I’m worried about age and I don’t know why really?

Jem1979 · 22/08/2021 07:51

@Mattieandmummy oh am really sorry to hear this. Was feeling really optimistic for you. I know how sad you must be feeling. Sending a big hug. Take care of yourself xx

@ponymum1980 fab news, congrats!

@babyreds1518 hello there. Your cycle sounds similar to mine, I always have brown spotting for a couple of days before fresh. Try not to stress (easier said than done!) you are only 40 and 4 months isn't long at all. My GP thought me getting pregnant in 9 months was quick. With my DS I conceived first attempt, I think that's unusual and gives you a false idea of how easy it is to conceive.

ponymum1980 · 22/08/2021 07:35

@Mattieandmummy sending love and fingers crossed for you x

Mattieandmummy · 22/08/2021 07:27

Yes but the positive is I can now have my covid vaccine without panicking about possible miscarriage (even though there's no evidence to say this happens).

There's a lot of sighing over here and a few tears.

99pctpractice · 22/08/2021 06:56

Oh no @Mattieandmummy I’m so sorry to hear that. Sending lots of hugs your way, and fingers crossed for the later test.

Mattieandmummy · 22/08/2021 06:43

Congratulations @ponymum1980!

Sadly I did a repeat pregnancy test this morning as had some painful cramps yesterday and it's negative so looking like another early loss for me which is really sad. I'll repeat the test later but not expecting positive results.

ponymum1980 · 22/08/2021 06:27

Thought we'd missed our window to try this month, but I got a tiny bit of spotting 8dop. My period has been coming 12-13dop, but on day 14 it still hadn't. This morning I was up early to ride, but felt properly nauseous and have slightly tender boobs (15dpo). Did a test and it's come up positive. Have messaged the girls to say I won't be riding out this morning. My partner is still asleep. Can't quite take it in.

babyreds1518 · 21/08/2021 22:36

Hi there
I am 40 and we are ttc our 3rd. I was 29 and 33 with 1&2. Wish we hadn’t left it so long but for various reasons we have.
With baby 1&2 I was lucky enough to get pregnant the first month, but this time we are 4 months in (which I know is not a long time for most) but I am really worried we have left it too late!

Using the clear blue fertility sticks (didn’t use them previously). I wonder about my cycle. Appears to be 25-26 days long but I bleed for 10 days (brown spotting first few days, then fresh after).

Looking for some hope! I feel time is rapidly running out.

Any advice welcome :)

Lastyearttc · 21/08/2021 22:24

@Honey2 I'm in Hampshire. I think it was because of my history as had 3 mcs and under infertility consultant who had already order mc bloods... they just offered it when I called them!?

Honey2 · 21/08/2021 21:31

@Lastyearttc that’s fantastic news. Doesn’t seem the brown cm is anything to worry about with great numbers. Can I ask where you are in the UK as in my area (south west) they absolutely refuse to do the hormone blood tests. They will only do a scan at 6/7 weeks

Lastyearttc · 21/08/2021 20:59

@Honey2 so far so good thanks for asking. hcg more than doubled and they have moved the scan forward to Tuesday as think they should see something with those numbers. Got a bit of brown cm but trying to ignore it!

Babyghirl · 21/08/2021 18:22

Hello ladies hope it's OK if I pop on been reading the tread all day, although I'm 38 ttc number 1 have had 4 miscarriages and 1 cp but the support would be great I'm in the hands of a rmc and got my nxt app on the 15th of Sept for my scan results they told me at scan I have a heart shape uterus but don't know how bad he has said progesterone from a bfp but I'm going to c if I can have them from after ovulation to c if it helps frist 3 pregnancy took a year each time I always seem to fall pregnant in September but last one was Jan I lost at 6 weeks, so being September nxt month I'm hoping it's my lucky month and baby sticks sorry to read all your journeys and congratulations to all the successful stories, is anyone now taking aspirin from ovulation to period.

Honey2 · 21/08/2021 17:14

@Lastyearttc how did you get on this morning?

@October1979 I don’t think I ovulated in the month immediately after my miscarriage, I did get a high opk reading but FF never showed ov and I didn’t have a temp rise…. I had a normal period 26 days after my MC bleed and ovulated on my normal day 14, and I got pregnant that cycle! So I hope that give you some info/hope… they do say you are extra fertile after a MC.

I’m having a weird cycle this month. I’m CD9 but I’ve just got a peak reading on opks (2 diff brands) in fact I’ve got the highest LH reading I’ve ever seen?! Reasons it’s weird is I’m pretty regular and always ovulate on CD14. Once in the last 6 months I have ovulated on CD 10. So not totally unheard of. I guess I just need to get on the case!! Hope DH not too tired after work 😂 I hope this is ovulation as I’ll cut 4 days off my wait!!!

@Catconfusion how is your sickness? Are you managing any better with the medicine?

Trying to conceive over 40
October1979 · 21/08/2021 12:27

Sounds good @Lastyearttc 🤞 for you. I'm sure things will double. I think I've missed ovulation this month. I was told to wait 2 weeks after miscarriage till cervix closed to avoid infection. Mentally I also wasn't ready. However using opks and Ava think I ovulated on day 11 after miscarriage which is early for me. I thought at the time it might be left over pregnancy hormone that was turning opks to peak. But now not to sure. I hope that wasn't my good egg that I've missed. How long did it take you to ovulate @Honey2? Still no appointment through from miscarriage clinic. I know they said 12 weeks but was hoping for an appointment to put in the diary.

@Lastyearttc sounds like a great result. Fingers crossed it’s doubled. Xx

Lastyearttc · 20/08/2021 21:01

@Honey2 so they were 6732 which is good apparently and progesterone 120, which is also good as they like to see above 40. Went again today for 48hr repeat and need to call in the morning for results. The hope is they have doubled. How are you doing hun? X

Honey2 · 20/08/2021 09:35

@Catconfusion thanks 😊

@Lastyearttc how did it go at the EPU with the hormone bloods?
