13dp5dt Clearblue only says 1-2weeks!

Hi,

First IVF round with ICSI. Today was my official test day at 13dp5dt. I've had some faint and some dark positive pregnancy tests from 9dp5dt. I've been trying to stay positive and believe that I am pregnant, however today I took a clearblue expecting it to say 2-3 weeks and it only says 1-2!
My conception date was 17 days ago and technically I am now 4+4 (conception 2+4 weeks ago). Has anyone else had this and not ended up having a chemical pregnancy? I'm sure my HCG should be a lot lighter by now.
I'll attach a pic.
These are all today. I pee'd at about 2am (couldn't hold it) then done the test at about 5:30am but didn't drink anything since way before going to bed.
Top one is CB
Middle is my IVF clinic sensitivity 25
Bottom is boots own ?? Not sure on sensitivity.
Can't help but feel really anxious.

Update for anyone in the future who may be reading this thread and for you lovely ladies who have been so kind and supportive.
We had our scan at 7+4 today, 1 week after being told the baby was small and heartbeat was too slow. Well today everything was perfect!!!
Measuring 7+1 exactly 1 week on from last Friday, heartbeat perfectly strong and fast.
We've been discharged from our IVF clinic, Care fertility into the hands of our GP and NHS midwives.
We're both in complete shock after a week of preparing for miscarriage.
I'm simply exhausted now and will be resting and not worrying so much before my next scan at 12 weeks.

Just an update.
It's been 6 days since my scan showed baby was 3 days behind on growth with a slow heart rate. I'm thinking if the heart has stopped then my HCG would be dropping, it will be 1 week tomorrow.
Tomorrow is scan day.
I couldn't help myself. I only bought 2 CB weeks indicator tests. I used my first one at 13dp5dt (4+4 weeks) which showed 1-2 on CB. This morning I used my other CB expecting it to still say 1-2 or even 2-3 if HCG had initially risen then dropped since possible heart beat stopping.
Today it shows 3+.
I'm meant to be 7+3 today or 7 weeks exactly if baby has continued to grow since last scan.
Surely if baby has died the HCG would have dropped by now?...
Just under 24 hours till we find out. Still no pregnancy symptoms.

@peggysand oh hun, sending you a big hug. I've been there and the wait is excruciating. Are you able to book a private scan in the mean time? Or I read on another post that there are walk in centres where you can pay for them to check blood for hcg level. Or what about buying a doppler and searing for baby's heartbeat yourself? Although the latter may be more distressing if you're unable to find one as it can be quite common to struggle to find xx

Just as a reference, I had to take blood and see how my beta hcg developed over a week, and while it got higher each time, my pregnancy test line stayed the same, one day was even a bit fainter. It's just not that accurate.

I'm so sorry OP. It's such a horrible time. I had very similar albeit not IVF. My clearblue digital got stuck on 2-3 weeks and didn't change. The scan measured behind with a slow heart rate and I miscarried a week later. The waiting and anxiety was just horrific. Thinking of you Daffodil

It was successful thank you! Third time lucky.
If it adds anymore reassurance, I had a bleed, had early scans that I didn’t see what I wanted (sac, yolk, no fetal pole) went back the next week to see a little baby blob with a HB.
I’m not clued up on heart rates to be honest.
You have a lot going on inside your body atm just try take it easy and wish you lots of luck for Friday! It’s scary and all you can think about I know and it’s easy for me to say relax as I know what it’s like.

My scan is in 3 days on Friday. Luckily its an early morning scan.
I just feel so deflated about the heart rate being too slow and they didn't seem very optimistic about the pregnancy but I'm really really hoping it's a late implanter and with this scan on Friday the heart beat will have sorted itself out a bit.
I also still have very swollen ovaries from mild OHSS and I wonder if the pressure from my ovaries and the ultrasound wand could have temporarily slowed the heartbeat down. The sonographer was shocked at how big my ovaries still were.

Thank you so much for your reply and you're reassuring words. Obviously we won't know for sure until Friday but I don't want to believe the pregnancy is over just yet.
How did your IVF go? Successful I hope!

Hey op!
Fellow IVF’r.
Your test results are great.
Ignore what the clear blue said, they can be inaccurate and it’s just causing you added anxiety.
Regarding the dates, baby can be afew days either way of what date ‘you should be’ this is very common and completely normal as you don’t know when implantation actually happened.
You will find your due date will differ slightly come your 12 week scan. My dates changed by 2 days.
I had zero symptoms until 8 weeks and they only lasted till 11w.
When is your scan, today?

Waiting for my follow up scan and obviously I couldn't help doing more tests.
They're still getting darker which would indicate my HCG level is still rising.
Could this mean that baby's heart is still beating? Does HCG drop as soon as the heart beat stops, surely it wouldn't continue to rise.
Although there is a chance it could be rising very slowly and miscarriage is still impending.
Top 2 are both yesterday,
Top one was first morning urine
Middle was late evening
Bottom one was todays first morning urine.
I'm wondering if this one was just a late implanter and that would make sense why my CB said 1-2 weeks.
Based on IVF dates I should be 7+1 however based on my last scan I would be 6+5.
Still zero symptoms other than tiredness.
Sorry for keep going on about this. I feel like I've been stuck in limbo for months.

Just thought I'd update this thread for anyone who might read it in the future. Its frustrating not knowing the outcome sometime. I didn't have any more bleeding.
I went for my first scan today at 6+4.
I had very swollen ovaries still due to my egg collection but they weren't too worried.
Baby measured small at 6+1 which isn't ideal because we know I should be 6+4 with it being IVF.
On top of this baby's heart rate was much slower than it should be. Less than 90bpm.
The Dr and nurse weren't very optimistic that this will be a viable pregnancy and I have been told to expect a miscarriage possibly in the next 7 days.
I have a scan book for 1 week today to check the heart beat again but they expect the pregnancy is dimising.
The dates I measured at explain why the CB test only read 1-2 weeks.

@PeggySand surely the control line is barely there because you've got dye stealers? I.e. test lines so strong they steal the dye from the control lines. It's good - looks like you're very much pregnant still!

Sorry I went to stay with my mum and has zero signal for 2 days.
After that 1 episode of fresh blood I've had nothing. I distracted myself for the long weekend and came to terms with it being over expecting a full bleed.
Nothing has happened. Technically today I would be 5+2. I'm too scared to do another CB indicator for fear that it will say 1-2 still. However I did do another research cheap boots strips today. (Of which I found out the sensitivity is 25mUl/ml).
I'll attach them. They're different to my previous in that the control line is barely there and I'm not sure why.
Still very worried and we have to just wait for a scan on 11th June- 9 days away!!!

Just an update. I started bleeding this evening. Bright read, just on wiping at first then a small amount soaked through knickers.
Nurse told me to prepare for early miscarriage. I'm continuing progesterone pessaries for now but HCG levels must not have been high enough. Hence CB only reading 1-2 when I was 4+4.

I've dipped 2 clear blue digital in the same sample before and got 2 different results, they are notorious for not being accurate. The other tests are looking fab! Congratulations x
