Newbie looking for some support

Hi ladies,

I’ve been lurking for a few days, just seeing what the deal is, trying to work out some of the terminology used, mostly going to post but then getting scared and carry on lurking haha.

I don’t really have anyone I can talk about the TTC journey with in my real life as we aren’t telling anyone as it stands so I’m hoping maybe I can make a few friends here that I can obsess and stress out with 🤣

I’m currently CD 7 in my first cycle so tracking with OPKs every day right now so that I can get a clearer picture of my cycle each month.

I’m 30 and this will be our 1st,

If anyone has any advice/is in a similar position to me or just wants a natter I’d love to hear from you 😊

@Babyghirl I really hope your next one sticks lovely and it sucks that your experience isn’t exciting when you see your BFP.
You’ve been trying for a while I’m assuming from your message? Unless I’m just reading it wrong.

Im trying nt to stress abot it all, first 3 times it took me a year to fall pregnant 3rd loss in Oct and 4th pregnancy I fell in Jan the quickest ever I hav fallen but lost that one at 6 weeks in Feb I now see a bfp and it =a loss to me so hoping the progesterone helps nxt pregnancy stick as I spot from a bfp to a loss 💚

I’m really sorry to hear for your losses, it must be a really hard time for you. How are you feeling about it all at the moment? It will happen for you and it sounds like you’re getting the medical support you need? Xx

@HRP1990 okay so 1 box of FRER cause that way if I only have 1 I’ll be less attracted to test, otherwise I’ll be like “well I only really need 1 and I have 3 spare so………🤷‍♀️

That’s probably the best idea @Dannii892 or it might just stress you out more ya know? You gotta do what’s good for you lovely

@PurpleCat88 ahh what a pain in the arse 🧙 always turns up when you want her the least, the old bitch haha

That thermometer sounds good though, I might get that one, anything I don’t have to put in my phone myself is good for me 😂

Hope yous don't mind me jumping on ur ttc train, I have had 4 positive tests but resulting in 4 miscarriages ttc num 1 I'm abit older than yous at 38 but nw under the care of the rmc clinic my vitamin d is really low so on stuff to bring it up and he's also giving me the progesterone on my nxt bfp 💚

@Peachycream yep the main reason i didn’t plough through is 🧙🧙🧙 arrived later the afternoon at 10DPO both times!

The thermometer I bought automatically uploads the temp to Premom, which I love because I wake up around 5:30am take temp, and go back to sleep for another hour and a half! Ive been using it since CD2/3. I ordered as soon as AF arrived at the beginning of this cycle x

@Peachycream I’d use those to test and a FRER to confirm a BFP maybe? Depends on your level of self control 😂

I only made that order this morning after 🧙🏻‍♀️ arrived so I can’t confirm yet, It gets here Friday!

I’ve just noticed you have feta @HRP1990 I love feta. I bought a really nice one a while back and I’ve been trying to find it ever since but for the life of me I don’t remember what it was!!

@HRP1990 I fear I would be exactly the same so I’m not sure if to bother with ordering them or not? 😂 I have loads of the easy@home ones that came in my box of OPKs and they have the same sensitivity as a FRER so should essentially do the same job right? Haha

Oh that sounds good! I think that’s the one that I keep seeing pop up the most, have you tried it out yet?

@Peachycream I have 2 FRER left after testing last 2 cycles ( I did start out with 2 packs of 2)

@Peachycream No cheese just yet but I did buy some feta for my lunch 🤤

I found that if I have tests in the house I use them at ridiculous times and end up wasting them! I just ordered some more OPK’s aswell as little pregnancy strip tests, I’d much rather waste these than £6 a FRER🤭

I also bought the Easy@home thermometer as it has a back light (so you can use it in the dark) takes 90 seconds and it’s not too loud when it bleeps.. so the feedback says.

@KayL1988 we need a BTT lesson!

I’m gunna order some FRERs ready for next month, I dunno how many boxes to buy 😂 I figure if I get 2 boxes of 2 that’s 4 months worth, providing I don’t use them up before that. Do the rest of you have a little stock?

I’m also thinking about giving temping a go, I’m not sure how accurate it would be for me as my sleep is disturbed, but I may as well give it a go right? It can’t do any harm! For those of you temping what thermometer do you use? There’s like 9 million to choose from?!

That’s a really low percentage @Dannii892! Well that gives us some hope 😂 either way, I’m quite content with the BFN so I think I’ll leave it now until the end of the week, I wasn’t planning to test today anyway. What about you will you try again?

@KayL1988 it’s weird right? I don’t even know why I’m still doing it to be honest, I think it’s just giving me something to do 😂

@HRP1990 how you doing lovely? Is the cheese board out yet? 😂

@SkeletonSkins it is boring but using OPK’s early gives you something to do 😂! I usually test day after AF has finishes just encase I ovulate early.

@KayL1988 thanks Kay! I purchased a BBT on Amazon today so you’ll have to give me some pointers!

@Dannii892 love the positive attitude haha. In the back of my mind I’m hoping AF is actually implantation bleeding 😂 wishful thinking 😬

@HRP1990 boring! Start of the cycle is so boring isn’t it 😂 I’m CD8 today. Might start taking opks from today even though I’m fairly sure I won’t ovulate for ages yet as I have long cycles. I started taking conceive plus ovulation support this month though and it does seem to have had an impact so I’m going to start opking early just incase it does fix my cycle. My skins gone crap which is always a sign I’m hormonal ha!

thanks for the support ladies 😊 .. im not going to threat about it if I'm not than theres always next month right .. ive read so many threads where woman just don't get bfps until much later and 🧙‍♀️ is still more than a week away (not sure if that's a good thing now).

@Peachycream - yes definitely still hope .. imagine you get implantation which apparently can take a few days probably wouldn't get a bfp until 14-15 dpo .. fingers and toes crossed for us all heart ❤

@Peachycream like @SkeletonSkins and @PurpleCat88 said it could indicate pregnancy? I know you got a BFN but the latest for implantation is 12DPO so there’s still time! I’ve read loads of stories about women getting a BFN, which lead to a BFP days later 🙌🏻

@Peachycream that is weird! I've stopped peeing on a stick now. My monitor stops me testing again once I've got a peak. Apparently ovulation tests can pick up other hormones too. All so confusing!

Sorry to hear 🧙‍♀️ has arrived @HRP1990 ... you definitely deserve a glass of wine and some yummy food!!

@Dannii892 that sucks but you've still got a few days so fingers and toes still crossed!

@PurpleCat88 urgh that's stressful. They say you don't ovulation a couple of months a year... honestly like it's not hard enough. I had a bit of a temp drop this month a day or two before my temp increase and ovulation .. so hopefully your BBT change is a good thing!

@HRP1990 only 10DPO 🧙 not due until the weekend.

It’s not that the OPKs are positive, just the line is getting darker each day, all I can assume is that I’m just getting more dehydrated, maybe I’ll drink more today and see what happens tomorrow?

@PurpleCat88 I used SMU for both, I kept it in the cup while I went to make a drink and waited for the OPK 😂 then I noticed it was higher than yesterday once I took the photo and uploaded it so I thought “meh, why not”

Aw no @Peachycream I was going to say a positive OPK late on in your cycle can indicate BFP sometimes. Did you use FMU for the OPK and SMU for the pregnancy test? There’s still hope!

Thank you @SkeletonSkins how’s the start of your cycle going for you? As much as I hate 🧙🏻‍♀️ arriving, at least she is showing up so there’s always a chance this month 🤞🏻

@Peachycream hang in there! What DPO are you I've forgotten? When is 🧙🏻‍♀️ due?
