Hi ladies,

I’ve been lurking for a few days, just seeing what the deal is, trying to work out some of the terminology used, mostly going to post but then getting scared and carry on lurking haha.

I don’t really have anyone I can talk about the TTC journey with in my real life as we aren’t telling anyone as it stands so I’m hoping maybe I can make a few friends here that I can obsess and stress out with 🤣

I’m currently CD 7 in my first cycle so tracking with OPKs every day right now so that I can get a clearer picture of my cycle each month.

I’m 30 and this will be our 1st,

If anyone has any advice/is in a similar position to me or just wants a natter I’d love to hear from you 😊

Xx

Peachycream · 16/06/2021 13:40

What about a list of different cheeses? 😂

Brie, Gorgonzola and Camembert

HRP1990 · 16/06/2021 13:38

I like @KayL1988 suggestion 😂

“Witch day did I ovulate?” With lots of 🧙🏻‍♀️🧙🏻‍♀️🧙🏻‍♀️ At the end

PurpleCat88 · 16/06/2021 13:27

Newbies DTD to keep the 🧙🧙🧙 away

Only we will understand it - hehe!

PurpleCat88 · 16/06/2021 13:25

Hi ladies ☺️ Wow you’ve all been chatting a lot 🤣

Fingers crossed for everyone who’s hoping to test soon! @Dannii892 - good luck for Saturday (if you can hold out that long!)

Loving all the new thread name suggestions! Should we keep ‘Newbie’ in it so we know it’s our chat? Or are we not newbies anymore 😂

No update from me - I sound like a broken record but I still haven’t had a peak OPK this cycle. CD21 for me.

KayL1988 · 16/06/2021 13:23

Witch day did I ovulate?

Peachycream · 16/06/2021 13:23

I like that one @KayL1988 😂

Also @Babyghirl such a good tip about the folate!

KayL1988 · 16/06/2021 13:21

Ohhh new thread name suggestions everyone?

30ish newbies witching for the best? I really want to get the 🧙‍♀️ in there 😂

Peachycream · 16/06/2021 13:21

@HRP1990 are you on my phone?! I literally just closed a tab from this morning about cervical position 😂

@Dannii892 I don’t think it matters, I read on the NHS if a test is positive it’ll be positive at any time in the day, but everyone on here seems to swear by FMU?

OP posts:
Dannii892 · 16/06/2021 13:15

@HRP1990 yes I cant cave in now! Saturday I'll do it.. I was reading other threads and some people say that they fmu and the line didn't appear and but did on the smu.. you think it makes a difference? Me planning ahead 😂😂😂

HRP1990 · 16/06/2021 13:12

It sounds like a good sign @Dannii892! I’d still wait until the weekend if you can, especially if the level of (HCG?) doubles every 48 hours!

HRP1990 · 16/06/2021 13:11

She says Googling cervical positioning @Peachycream 😂

Dannii892 · 16/06/2021 13:08

@Peachycream 😂😂😂😂😂 it's pretty disgusting lol but it's forcing me to drink water! Especially if I plan on talking to anyone without my teeth sticking to my lips 😂😂😂
Still slightly spotting and light cramps but the spotting is literally pale pink on the tissue..
This is killing me - I'm dying to poas!

Peachycream · 16/06/2021 13:01

@Dannii892 gross 😂

Anymore updates on the spotting front? I never thought I would have any interest in someone else’s bodily functions

Dannii892 · 16/06/2021 12:55

Guys I have the driest mouth in the world! My saliva is literally foam x

Peachycream · 16/06/2021 12:54

@HRP1990 it’d be so lovely wouldn’t it 😂

@Babyghirl 😂 yeah I bet it does!

I think once I know what’s going on a bit more I’ll probably step away from it all but for now, I find it’s working for me and oddly, I had a few days leading up to O were I freaked as he was away but once it was over, I totally relaxed into it. I think it was the emotion of it being the first cycle TTC that lead to my freak out.

I think at the end of the day it doesn’t really matter either way, the truth is, if people are falling the month they stop tracking it’s quite possible it was going to happen then anyway. It’s one of those things that it’s either going to happen or it isn’t. That’s possibly a controversial opinion and as I say, it’s very early days for me so over the course of this that could well change 😂

Dannii892 · 16/06/2021 12:49

@Peachycream it would be amazing! ❤ really keeping my fingers crossed for us all and our journey.
I wasn't tracking until this month and the clear blue dual was pretty spot on if this does turn out to be a bfp xx

Babyghirl · 16/06/2021 12:48

@peachycream
I can say dtd every 2 days get tiring 😂😂😂😂😂 I look forward to when I knw ovulation has happened getting a break I tracked for ages but second time I fell pregnant I stopped tracking the month before and just went with it but getting to knw your cycle first is a must.
@HRP1990
It really does help I never believed it I hated people telling me it but realised when I stepped away from everything I started to enjoy dtd again like I felt when I was tracking I was only dtd for one thing and the pleasure turned in to a chore lol. 💚

HRP1990 · 16/06/2021 12:39

@Babyghirl this is only my first month of trying but once I understand my cycles more and roughly when I ovulate I’m going to do exactly that. I’ve read so many things on here about women just letting go and it happens! Give it a few months and if I doesn’t happen with the tracking I’m going to do the same!

@Peachycream I’d love that! Progressing from the conception forum to the pregnancy forum with @glasspaw 💃🏼

Peachycream · 16/06/2021 12:39

@Babyghirl I think some of us track out of curiosity and find it interesting and we’re all relatively new to it all, I think there’s a few of us where this is only our first cycle properly trying and tracking. I’m sure it become monotonous after a while and probably quite stressful long term though and at the end of the day you need to do what’s best for your mental health.

I know that for me, my other half an I regularly have conflicting work schedules and works away so it’s a lot easier said than done for us to DTD every other day or so as a lot of the time, unless we can both split in half, it’s not possible to do. So having a heads up from tracking can be helpful for us as there are occasions when we can switch things around a make a bit of time.

If we had the luxury of just being able to DTD whenever I probably wouldn’t be bothering with any of the tracking.

But for me, at least right now, I’m finding seeing the peaks and flows of my cycle quite interesting

OP posts:
Babyghirl · 16/06/2021 12:27

Honestly girls but c if yous have a fair idea now abot your cycles after tracking them for a while and knw roughly when ovulation happens from me step away from testing for it I hated hearing it but the relaxing approach is the best way go with the flow dtd every 2 days everyday when u knw when ovulation is and relax. Also if yous r on folic acid try changing to folate its pure folic acid not everyone can break down folic acid so folate is better learned this from a fertility specialist. 💚

Peachycream · 16/06/2021 12:11

I’m hoping we can all be cute as fuck and get our BFPs within a few weeks of each other so that we can all go through everything at the same kinda times 🥰
