Hi ladies,

I’ve been lurking for a few days, just seeing what the deal is, trying to work out some of the terminology used, mostly going to post but then getting scared and carry on lurking haha.

I don’t really have anyone I can talk about the TTC journey with in my real life as we aren’t telling anyone as it stands so I’m hoping maybe I can make a few friends here that I can obsess and stress out with 🤣

I’m currently CD 7 in my first cycle so tracking with OPKs every day right now so that I can get a clearer picture of my cycle each month.

I’m 30 and this will be our 1st,

If anyone has any advice/is in a similar position to me or just wants a natter I’d love to hear from you 😊

Xx

How many days ago would it have been since you conceived?

It's only been two hours but oh my god the anxiety !!! This is killing me. I hope it's not a chemical :(

GingerTea333 · 04/06/2021 19:08

Hi @ConfusedNewbie21 and good luck with the test tomorrow. We are here if you want / need to talk!

Peachycream · 04/06/2021 19:07

Sorry to hear that, but everything happens when it’s supposed to as they say 😊

I’m glad you feel comfortable, share away 🥰

In exchange for all your help, I have experienced a PPT before (although with very bad/sad circumstances) so could not go through with it. I did however experience all the early signs so please ask anything that might be helpful to your situation. Again... TMI but I feel comfortable sharing here Flowers

KayL1988 · 04/06/2021 18:53

Baby clothes are too cute!!! So lovely you have such an active role in their lives!

Of course you are welcome to stay @ConfusedNewbie21!!! I would definitely love to see how you get on! 🥰🥰

Peachycream · 04/06/2021 18:51

Of course not hun, we will be here for you, someone is usually around on here, even if you don’t get a reply straight away it’s normally not long before someone comes on 😊

Stay with us as long as you’d like/need xxx

After some research, I think I may have tested positive very very early. The line has faded slightly which suggests the test picked up a very small amount of hcg in my pee. Is it okay if I stay on this thread over the next week to update on any developments? I don't want to do so if it seems like boasting / insensitive. Please trust me, that is not my intention! I am scared stiff lol... wish I could have a glass of wine WineHalo

Peachycream · 04/06/2021 18:41

@ConfusedNewbie21 well if you’re happy and excited that’s all that matters and the rest will figure it’s self out as time goes on.

I can’t speak for your family obviously but even if they aren’t thrilled at first I’m sure they will be as time goes on.

I think you have performed a magic trick! If you could perform it on us I’m sure we would all be very grateful! Haha.

Keep us updated though! You could be our first group positive!

My day hasn’t been half as eventful as yours! 😂
Xxx

Definitely not TMI - we definitely share a lot here!! I only ask because if you were regular you can do a rough guess how dark the line would be.

When you next test we are all here to help decipher it!!

ConfusedNewbie21 · 04/06/2021 18:36

How has everyone's day been? Any progress on your TTC journeys?

ConfusedNewbie21 · 04/06/2021 18:35

I have another test so will take one in the morning (only cheap so no need to worry about waste). Hopefully first morning pee will give me a little more clarity.

I am 20, but have a very active role in my two god son's life's (both age 20 months) and have looked after them a lot since they were 2 weeks old. I know I can do the whole motherhood thing so well, and it would fill my heart with joy. The only thing is my family's response. That scares me.

Funny thing is... today I was shopping (in general) and for some reason I ended up looking in both boots and next at the newborn baby clothes! For no reason. This was before I even thought to take a test. Have I performed a magic trick?! Grinlol.

HRP1990 · 04/06/2021 18:31

I think all those emotions are to be expected @ConfusedNewbie21 especially if it was a surprise/unplanned pregnancy. I think only time will give you the magical answer! Hopefully the line will get darker in a few days!

Peachycream · 04/06/2021 18:31

I think that’s how everyone feels when they get a positive. You said you’re young but didn’t say how young, do you have a good support network around you if it is positive?

Most importantly, does it feel right for you?

Sorry meant to sent more (shouldn't be walking when typing!!).

It's good you are feeling blessed, we are all actively trying and have pretty much said it's still scary - so I'd say that's completely normal!

Like the other ladies have said first morning pee is best and if you can afford a first response 6 days earlier you might see a stronger line xxxx

ConfusedNewbie21 · 04/06/2021 18:30

@KayL1988

Yup can definitely see a faint line on here. When is your period due?? Xxx
I'm not sure as I have a very very irregular cycle, I did previously suffer from PCOS so very uncertain. I havnt had a period for quite some time. Sorry if TMI, but the only possible time of conception has been very recently. What do you think xx
KayL1988 · 04/06/2021 18:28

ConfusedNewbie21 · 04/06/2021 18:28

Well, firstly you both asked how I feel about it which is so sweet, thank you. I feel completely confused. In all honesty, I feel scared, blessed, worried and so excited. All I've ever wanted in life was to be a mother, however I didn't see it happening just yet! I just wish I could get a magical answer Confused

Peachycream · 04/06/2021 18:26

@ConfusedNewbie21 I mean it’s faint, but I do see a smudge.

I second @HRP1990 test again in a day or two, try using your first wee in the morning if you didn’t with this one, you may get a clearer result.

How do you feel about it either way?

OP posts:
HRP1990 · 04/06/2021 18:24

I think I can see a faint line but it’s a little blurry.. I’d wait a few days and test again to be sure! How are you feeling about a potential positive or negative @ConfusedNewbie21?

ConfusedNewbie21 · 04/06/2021 18:21

Here is the link! Please, anyone who can take a look and reply over here. Thank you so much xxx
