Hi ladies,

I’ve been lurking for a few days, just seeing what the deal is, trying to work out some of the terminology used, mostly going to post but then getting scared and carry on lurking haha.

I don’t really have anyone I can talk about the TTC journey with in my real life as we aren’t telling anyone as it stands so I’m hoping maybe I can make a few friends here that I can obsess and stress out with 🤣

I’m currently CD 7 in my first cycle so tracking with OPKs every day right now so that I can get a clearer picture of my cycle each month.

I’m 30 and this will be our 1st,

If anyone has any advice/is in a similar position to me or just wants a natter I’d love to hear from you 😊

Xx

I’m glad it’s not just me that feels that way. I get what you mean @HRP1990 just taking it one step at a time, my mind has a tendency to wander off, we were talking about booking a trip next year (providing the apocalypse has finished) and then I was like wait…….by that time there could be a baby!

@Aries491 oh sorry I mustn’t have read your message properly 🙈 I hope he’s feeling better too haha. That’s good that you had yours all done early.

Thanks @peachycream :) it was my partner that had the vax, he's still got one more dose. I had mine ages ago due to asthma so I'm boxed off hah!

I think everyone does, my mum always said you can never think about it too much or you'll never do anything. Just when you're ready and it'll all fall into place (ideally lol) :) xx

Dannii892 · 09/06/2021 17:47

@Peachycream 😂😂😂😂😂
I think I need to stay away from
g👀gle and accept what will be will be!

HRP1990 · 09/06/2021 17:46

People always say there’s never a right time to have a baby. Or your never fully prepared! I think it’s only natural to question the decision.

I want to focus on the BFP and then let the future sink in after that lol

Peachycream · 09/06/2021 17:43

Welcome back @Aries491 sorry you felt rubbish after your vax, you all done now or still 1 left to go?

Yeah that’s what I’m worried about, all the things that I can do now but won’t be able to/won’t be as easy later on. It’s just all of it that I kinda have a minute like “are you sure?” But is anyone ever 100% over choices like this? Surely everyone has that tiny little niggle thinking maybe…….xx

@Dannii892 I have GAD (general anxiety disorder) and now I’ve learnt this I’m wondering if it’s more prevalent at certain times of my cycle, making it not so general after all 😂
That would be good wouldn’t it, us women seem to get all the good hormones 🙄

Aries491 · 09/06/2021 17:36

Wow so many updates! Been absent as work has been so busy these last few days and my OH was sick from the Pfizer vax :(
I am now in the dreaded TWW haha! As I couldn't get good reads on opks this month but had other signs of ovulation I am going with 2DPO currently. Trying to almost forget about it, keeping myself busy!

@Peachycream totally get you on mixed emotions like so excited for the future but at the same time almost thinking about what I will miss and how much life will change :)

How is everyone else getting on? Sorry to read on some MCs and BFN so sending love and baby dust to all. X

Dannii892 · 09/06/2021 17:25

@Peachycream that's just typical isn't it.. inwish once a month there was something nice like a day of pure laughter like oh got my giggles coming on CD12 ..
@SareBear87 yes that's true .. probably would've just thought strange im not die for 2wks if we wernt actively trying lol

HRP1990 · 09/06/2021 17:20

@SareBear87 😂 I can relate to this! I’ve been on the injection, pill etc and never batted an eyelid to a pain in my stomach or how even how long my cycles were.

Now I’m TTC I’ve googled all about CM (including images - don’t do it) 😂 generally over analysing everything!

Peachycream · 09/06/2021 17:11

Did you know that estrogen can cause anxiety and depression? Cause I didn’t!

OP posts:
SareBear87 · 09/06/2021 16:53

@Dannii892 I wouldn't worry too much (totally get that's easy to say!). I came off the pill for 2 years in 2014 (moved area, couldn't find a GP...then got lazy!) and never noticed anything unusual with my cycles. I noted how long they were but nothing else. Since TTC I notice E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G!!

Random twinge on CD11 must be ovulation, small back ache on 10DPO must be Implantation, weird pelvic sensation on 12DPO must be pregnant, farted in my sleep on 14DPO must be AF 🙈 - honestly help me!!

@justwant2beamum I'm on cycle 7 so you're not alone ☺️

Peachycream · 09/06/2021 16:01

@Dannii892 bodies are weird aren’t they? They just kinda do what they want, when they want. Maybe it was just one of those weird things that happen, I get random pains in different places all the time so I’m sure it’s nothing 😊

@KayL1988 yeah! That’s exactly what’s I’m doing! It’s like you can’t plan ahead cause you have no idea what you’re planning for. One minute I’ll be really excited about it all and the next im like in a few months this could all be totally different xx

Dannii892 · 09/06/2021 15:53

@Peachycream 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I dont think it was gas, no idea what it was - felt like strong period pain even went to the loo to check .. probably hormones 🤔

@KayL1988 thanks 😊

KayL1988 · 09/06/2021 15:51

@Dannii892 I've not experienced that although I feel like everything is heightened.

@GingerTea333 sending you lots of love. Hopefully it's absolutely nothing to worry about. Doctors appointment seems so far away.. sorry I can't offer any advice :(

KayL1988 · 09/06/2021 15:48

Oh my god I had a busy day yesterday and missed so much (now trying to remember everything I wanted to respond to!).

@SareBear87 your cycle is pretty much identical to mine! I should ovulate this weekend ... got a date night planned on Friday to spark the romance!

@ConfusedNewbie21 I'm so sorry to hear that. Xx

@Dannii892 your dog is so cute!! I love dogs!

@Peachycream yes totally agree with the missed emotions. I was talking to a friend about plans for November and in my head I was like ... I could be pregnant how exciting. Then felt a bit scared... feels like I don't know what version of my life to plan for!

Welcome both... glad this chat seems welcoming!!

@justwant2beamum so sorry to hear about your MC, hoping this month is the lucky one for you! I'm using apps and thermometer for the first month... so we'll see!
@PurpleCat88 welcome too! Doing a trial run of testing seems a very good idea... I should have done that! I'm going to get that book on your recommendation, Exciting!

Peachycream · 09/06/2021 15:47

@GingerTea333 I always forget that cycles include your period. Could it just be remnants from that? I would go for it, sneak it in 😂 xx

OP posts:
GingerTea333 · 09/06/2021 15:34

Thanks @Peachycream, definitely not ovulation bleeding as that’s still 10 days away! Also side note, my parents want to come and stay around the time of ovulation. Reckon we can still have sex with them in the room next door and just hope they don’t realise? Feels like I’m a teenager again trying to plan illicit encounters in my own home 😂

Peachycream · 09/06/2021 15:34

@Dannii892 also not very helpful, but could it have been gas? 😂

I have no other ideas, which you’re probably wondering, why bother replying, but I didn’t wanna read and run 🥰

OP posts:
Peachycream · 09/06/2021 15:30

@GingerTea333 I’ve not had it before hun but I just had a little google and all that’s coming up for me is ovulation bleeding, have a little look into it hun, it might be worth a look for you? I’m sorry you’re feeling upset though, big hugs to you xx

Hi ladies and welcome to everyone who has joined! I have been a bit silent because I have been busy at work but reading all your updates makes me laugh.

I’m currently freaking out because I’ve spotted / had loads of pink CM today as well as cramps and back pain. I’m only on CD9 so nowhere near ovulation. I have no idea what this is about and can’t get a doctor appointment for 2 weeks. Has anyone ever had this? I don’t know if it’s connected to my polycystic ovaries but it’s making me want to cry.

Dannii892 · 09/06/2021 14:25

Had the most bizarre experience this morning.. I woke up at about 6am with intense period pain only lasted for about 5 mins - it went away and I went back to sleep .. anything like that is far too early no being 4DPO .. I deffinatly did not imagine it either because it woke me up and I would NEVER voluntary wake up at 6am lol .. anyone else ever experienced this even when not TTC? X

HRP1990 · 09/06/2021 12:08

That’s true! I do like a physical book sometimes though to keep me off my phone she says using her phone 😂🙄

PurpleCat88 · 09/06/2021 11:39

@HRP1990 - I have the e-book so I can just read on my phone Smile

HRP1990 · 09/06/2021 11:03

I’m sorry to hear about your MC @justwant2beamum! I didn’t realise how common they are, same with chemicals until I joined. It’s not spoken about enough. We’re here to see your journey through to a BFP!😘

I really like reading, especially in the sun! I might purchase either book.. I just need to remember to keep it out of sight of neighbours.. family and friends haha

justwant2beamum · 09/06/2021 10:37

Oh that book sounds good. I think I'm perhaps a bit further on than some of you guys as this is cycle 8 for me as I had a mc, but I find it helpful being around people more my age and trying for baby #1 so hopefully you won't mind me sticking around. But I've just recently bought and started reading "it starts with the egg". I want to try and lead a healthier lifestyle anyway and fingers crossed I can give my eggs a boost too 🤞🏻 xx
